It Must Be Hard For You
Aviana Valos stood frozen in her place. Her arms were still tucked at both sides as her mind couldn't even function well for her to return her mother's hug.
This had never happened after all. She couldn't recall her mother ever hugging her in the past!
Not to mention that how she ignored all her mother's calls since leaving the family mansion crossed her mind. Despite that and how she had treated her in the past... her mother still said with relief that she finally let herself see her?
She thought that her mother wouldn't be happy to see her but... it turned out that she was wrong. Her mother was still waiting for her the whole time.
"Mom," Aviana finally managed to mutter in a very low voice. Hearing this, her mother pulled back and looked at her.
"Aviana." A tear rolled down Gillian Valos's face yet she flashed a smile.
It wasn't a fake smile. It was out of the happiness she felt for being given the chance to see her daughter again.
