When Jack yelled, "fire!" Nothing was shooting out of him. The bright glow that had accumulated in his body simply faded away. He couldn't feel the overflowing mana anymore. Additionally, his Strength of Hope ended even when it should still have a few minutes left.

Hope's sanctification on Grace, Jeanny, and Paytowin also ended.

"Hey, dude. Did you f*ck this up?" Paytowin asked in bewilderment.

Jack was also confused. The accumulated mana within him felt like it could be directed at something, but why did nothing come out when he triggered the energy release?
