The Goddess

As I lay there bleeding out, the police and emergency services arrive. They try to save me but fail. All I see is darkness. I'm just drifting in an endless void, when suddenly a burst of bright white light blinds me. He begins to see a great hall with the color scheme of white and gold. Further up, he sees a throne made of pure gold and sat upon it, the most beautiful person he's ever seen in his whole life.

Seeing as I appeared there out of nowhere, I thought about why I would be here and who she is.

*Mason Why am I here?! Its so bright.

Goddess, "My child. I have brought you here because you died long before you were supposed to."

*Mason What the hell? Did I say that out loud? And what do you mean before I was supposed to?

"Goddess No you didn't. I'm able to read your mind and that doesn't matter anymore child.

*Mason Okay then, what am I doing here? Why did you bring me?

"Goddess Well you see, there is a problem in another world I rule over, but as a goddess, I'm not allowed to directly interact with the world so I have chosen you as my champion to save the world.

*Mason Let me guess, I have to defeat the demon lord and his subordinates.

"Goddess No, and I don't appreciate you trying to be smart with me

The goddess proceeds to release a killing intent that shakes him to his core.

*Mason I-I-I'm truly sorry. It wasn't my intention to upset you. What does my mission entail?

"Goddess Your purpose there is to one, live out your life as you should've till you're an adult, while getting stronger in the meantime, and then destroy the beings they regard as gods because our powers come from mostly the mortals

*Mason You want me to kill almost gods. How am I supposed to do that?

"Goddess You will find out in time. I'll be bestowing you with a skill that only you possess, in order to help you with your journey but I'll let you figure that out. It's fairly simple

*Mason Okay goddess. By the way, you said live my life out. Does that mean I'll be reborn as a baby and do I get to keep my memories?

"Goddess Yes, you'll be reborn as a baby with your memories intact. Although, if your a noble or a commoner, I do not have control

*Mason Okay goddess, I'm ready to begin my new life

And after my long talk with the goddess, I was finally on my way.
