In the Teleportation Hall, Ray appeared on one of the futuristic looking pads where he stood. His eye focused on the screen displaying his contract results.

He looked at the screen, satisfied with his gain from the contract. One of the most important ones is the Unit Slot increase. When he summoned Maria in his Hunter's Dream, that summon didn't cost any unit slot, probably because she was supposed to be in Hunter's Dream.
Now with the increase of the slot, he can summon a companion using the gems that he had left collecting dust in his inventory. He is considering which one to summon.
Ray walks out of the Teleportation Hall to the Hub library which is weirdly named as Akashic Record for some reason. He plans to find out more about his Psychic Manipulation. His race has it as an innate gift, he might as well squeeze out all its benefits.
As he walked toward the library, he passed by the marketplace which he suddenly remembered he wanted to buy some food and a few other supplies he might need.

After a half an hour detour to the marketplace, he finally arrived at the library. He was honestly underwhelmed by the building which was named as 'Akashic Record' of the Hub.
He summoned Artemis in her humanoid form before entering the library. He is greeted by an AI or probably spirit that run this library because he didn't see anyone at the front desk and instead simply a voice that guides him and Artemis to a small room.
(Welcome user Ray Elliot and companion Artemis, I as the librarian will guide you for your first visit.)
After listening for a few minutes to the librarian. He discovered that the physical libraries are located in a specialized subspace that have few worlds that used to simply store books and knowledge. The room he currently in has an automated interface that shows or copies any book he needs.
Although there is a limit to which book he can copy. Books like Sentient Grimoire, Prelati's Spellbook or Gold rank and above manual cannot be copied because it's obviously sentient or could cause damage simply by existing without being contained.
Anyway, Ray quickly asks for any book related to the topic, Psychic. The result he gets is massive and the majority of them are grayed out because of insufficient rank to access them.
Ray then looks at the one that he had access to which is around 50+ books. He saw a few which interested him like the Psychic Power Guide for Newbies by user… and Psychic Advantage and Disadvantages by user Rank 12 Archmagus Leylin.
After more than an hour scouring through the archive, Ray ended up buying 5 copies from the library which cost him a total of 300k Hub Points. The Psychic Advantage and Disadvantages makeup three fifths of the cost.
Ray then left with Artemis to the Pub. This is the first time he ever entered a pub. He is excited to try food and alcohol which he noticed that he never had since he entered Bloodborne world. He excitedly marched toward the pub with Artemis which was located east of the marketplace.
"Hey sorry there sir but we don't allow minors here."
One of the workers of the pub informs the excited Ray when he, along with Artemis enter the pub. Artemis at first looks confused but then her face turns slightly red as she notices that the worker is addressing her who looks like a child with her 140+ heights.
"I'm not a minor. I'm older than a civilization, my… my look is…" Artemis then looked at Ray who looked back at her as he was also interested in the answer. "My look is due to my master's preference. I'm a sentient weapon, not human."
Ray looks at Artemis with his eyes and mouth widened but he stays silent until suddenly the worker takes out a tablet-like device as if expecting such a situation.
"My apology Miss, can I confirm your age with this age detector? This device will scan your spiritual and physical information to roughly detect your age."
Artemis nodded then put her hand at the device before the number started to appear on the screen which shows a five figure number. The worker didn't flinch at all and then gave another apology before leaving Ray and Artemis.
Artemis looks at Ray as if scrutinizing him before changing immediately and hugs his left hand as they sit at the corner of the pub that has more privacy than the middle part of the pub.
"Hey Artemis, what do you mean about 'due to my preference' earlier?" Ray looks at Artemis, determined to get his answer.
"Artemis when created is a blank slate artificial soul that is mixed with the ego that dwells in the sword. Since the master didn't set any preference when creating Artemis, the artificial soul can accurately detect the master's preference to model Artemis' own personality and appearance." Artemis fidgets on her seat facing Ray who looks like he just lost his entire saving whaling on gacha and didn't get any rate up character or item.
Ray understood perfectly what Artemis just said and it honestly horrified him. Basically the artificial soul is like a blank AI that detects his preference of partners that suits his 'taste'. This would turn out fine normally but for a whimsical person like Ray, it would be chaos. It would be like stuffing every food you liked without considering if the taste would even be good when mixed and call it a day.
But at least with the dormant ego occupying the artificial soul, it can correct its own problem but will take time since it has to understand what is the problem before it can fix it. Example, the yandere personality is bad and Artemis understands it is bad. So, she will remove that personality from herself.
Now Ray understands why Artemis' behaviour is strange sometimes. She acts like a loyal pet at first then like a lover, she also acts like a strict teacher when teaching him in Re:Zero world. Now, shy and more ladylike.
"Ex… cuse me sir, may I take your order?"
The waiters came next to his table to take orders but it looked like he came at the wrong time because Ray with his defeated look and Artemis who was fidgeting on her seat looked at Ray every few moments.
Hearing the call from the waiters, Ray regains his composure before ordering two bowls of cream stew, beef steak, bread and two mugs of Pub's special brew beer.
When the waiters left, Artemis closed her eyes and clench her fist as she awaited Ray's verdict. Ray can feel from the bond between them, Artemis is afraid that he will throw her away. Her thought is that defective tools will be discarded which is true but she isn't defective to Ray.
She isn't defective, Ray didn't mind her personality problems which are due to his mistake during her creation. In fact Ray can see an advantage to it, she can satisfy his every fetishes and kinks.
Yes, Ray is convinced that he made her even better than what she was supposed to be. Plus, the weapon soul is supposed to increase his offensive ability by having an AI like entity to assist him when in combat. The female body of the weapon soul is just an extra feature.
Then the food arrived at their table, Ray looked at Artemis who dodge his eyes looking nervous. He simply sighs and transfers his previous thought to Artemis using his bond, reassuring her that she isn't defective at all.
He does realize that deliver his thoughts is better than explaining in words since she can feel his genuine feeling and thought rather than a complicated explanation that probably confuses Ray himself rather than the person he explains to.
"Come, let's eat while the food is still warm." Ray urged Artemis but she didn't eat which confused Ray since she not no longer worried about the previous topic.
"Um… do master forgot that Artemis is a sword and Artemis sure that swords don't require food."
Ray was dumbfounded when she finished her words. He sighs and nods before continuing eating both portions of the food which he gladly does since the food tastes heavenly.
The sweet and savory taste of the cream stew with potato bread. Then the flavorful taste of the steak is complemented by the bitter sweet beer that has a slight taste of peach.
"Master, can Artemis have another scan on master memory to better adjust to master likes." Artemis asks with some hesitation.
"Isn't it better if I tune the personality instead of you scanning yourself which might worsen it?" Ray added while stuffing another piece of meat in his mouth.
"Why not both?"
"Ok, but how does that work? Do I need to do something or give verbal permission?"
Artemis shake her head before I feel her bond become active suddenly while her body stopped moving like a statue.

'Hm… master have hidden desire for a loving wife and mother and… animal tail and ears?'
Artemis is using the bond to scan her master's memories, even the subconscious one that he didn't realize he had. As she continues to scan, she realizes that her master is very whimsical, lazy and very easily bored.
She also saw the memories of him before joining the Hub. He is an introvert and only ever had 5 friends that he really considers as one. He is always indoors unless for class. He spends all his time rapidly consuming media like comics and novels.
Three years prior to his suicide, he is bored by lack of novel and comic that intrest him which lead him to fanfic novels and with addition to a pandemic that cause him to stay indoors for 2 and a half years made him rapidly consume the fanfictions until again, nothing left that intrest him.
With his financial problem and emotional distress from his family, he driven to the limit which cause him become delusional and cover his suicide attempt with a goal to meet ROB for a chance of reincarnation into fantasy world where he is free from all his worry.
Now Artemis realizes why her master is odd according to her AI like mind's deduction. He didn't have a goal or purpose, his wish of reincarnation already achieved and now he is wandering without a goal. He does things for his amusement or rather, he does things on whim.
His current goal is to find a way to obtain his so-called 'waifu' from a game he once played. Artemis can see that the 'waifu' of his checked all the boxes like being a loli like her, has animal tails and ears.
Artemis got curious and searched for his thoughts of her.
'She is cute like Artemis from Danmachi, definitely waifu material.'
'She isn't defective, she has every kinks and fetish I like inscribed into her. As her master and creator, I am perfectly satisfied.'

She can hear his thoughts and a lot of the latter one are perverted thoughts. She is happy that her master is attracted to her but also embarrassed due to certain personalities she had.

As Artemis busy with her stuff, Ray already finished all the food and left with only a mug of beer as he listened to people discussing about the Grand Labyrinth.
He hears a few important bits of information like some big factions are planning to expand to get more resources. He also heard about relics which he is unfamiliar with. They spoke of it as if the relics are rather important.
"Did you hear? A user got lucky and obtain a rare production type relic and a big shot user trade it for a Void Crystal mine"
"U sure he not scammed? Void Crystal mine? Can he even protect the mine and benefit from it? Those hyenas probably rob the mine the moment it changes owners."
"Who do you think the Mad Emperor is huh! Despite his title, he is a true man of his word. I heard that he will guarantee his safety and ownership of the mine and even provide him 1 star rank god as freebies to help guard him."
"Are you joking with me, a 1 star god? What god are we talking about here?"
"A combat type god with Thunder and Sword as its main divinity made by Yggdrasil faction. I overheard it from my last trip from frontier city."
"Jesus Christ, those gods with even the lowest rank at 1 star have the power of low Silver rank power. Just how valuable is the relic?"
The conversation then turn into speculation and guessing by the other customers as they tried to deduct the effect of the relic.
Then out of the blue, Ray received a notification saying he had an email from an unidentified person. He opened his interface then saw the letter which if true, was sent by the Administrator who offered him to join the hub.
The administrator apparently have something to discuss with him and had been trying to contact him but he is away doing contract work. The administrator asked for his location, to which Ray replied that he was in the Hub's Pub.
Few seconds after he replied, a guy dressed like an office worker entered the pub and immediately walked to him as if he knew where Ray was.
"We met again, Ray." The guy who he knew as the administrator greeted him before sitting beside him. He then looked at Artemis, intrigued.
"Most of the people I handle usually go for existing girls like Artoria, Matou Sakura or Rias Gremory which are the popular ones."
"But you…" he paused before continuing, "you create an artificial soul for a weapon and… oh interesting, you add the existing ego inside the sword to the mix. Then finalise it with a self adjusting personality." The administrator explained with unnatural interest while making exaggerated hand motions.
"Are you perhaps one of the eccentric ones that prefer this type of girl instead of the usual girl?"
Ray feels like a specimen being studied under the eyes of the administrator that has a weird glint to it.
"Ah, ahem… sorry. I like to study unusual stuff, a hobby of mine after living for a few million years." The administrator apologized after seeing Ray that clearly felt uncomfortable.
"So… what do you urgently need to meet me?" Ray asked to get him to the point.
"Ah yes, I want to inform you about some important information and congratulate you for completing your first… no, now second contract."
The administrator took out a plain book that was covered in black leather before it opened itself to a page that looked like his profile on the left page while a list of achievement on the right page
"First one, I don't know how you are able to fail your first world which is a tutorial world to get you started. However, your failure becomes your ticket to success."
"You see, the Penalty Contract is given based on the user combat ability which you have very pitifully low at that time and your only ability is the (Spirit Vessel) that grants you no combat prowess. Even the healing ability is limited due you unable to master the ability." The book then shows Ray's list of skill and ability as the administrator explains.
"So you're saying that I got lucky to fail my first contract then got a Penalty Contract which is the easiest one available and that indirectly gets a free power leveling?" Ray asks in disbelief.
"Yes, as you just said. You can say that you find a loophole accidentally. Penalty world is a world for people who failed their contract to power level and one of the features of it is you cannot die in that world."
"You will have to struggle against insurmountable foe endlessly. It's simply do until you succeed. For your case, your enemies can be harmed by weapons available to you during your start and slowly you grow in power to fight against stronger enemies." The administrator point at the pages that turn into a screen and show Ray's early days in Yharnam.
"Under the influence of that world law and your special circumstances, you manage to level up to 100 which usually takes dozens of contracts or 3 months fighting in Grand Labyrinth to achieve in 1 day. You essentially break and hold the record of fastest max level copper rank ever." The page turns normal again and the administrator points at the right page that has a list of achievements.
"Finally, now you have reached max level, you need to ascend rank to increase your max level by another zero. Here, this is the dungeon unlock key. Just enter the Grand Labyrinth and enter the key into air then spin like you unlock a door." Ray received the key that looks like a simple iron key without any decoration.
"So, are there any more questions before I go?" The administrator asks while drinking beer that Ray didn't notice he ordered.
"Is there a way to…"
"To summon those 'waifu' of yours with their memories of you intact?" The administrator cut off Ray before he could finish his sentence.
"You can… nevermind. Yes, is there a way?" Ray asks expectantly.
"Yes, the lottery you just unlocked from the contract is one of the ways. If you could get lucky to get a Character Summon Gem (Custom). You can use it to select which character, the timeline and even tweak their mind to suit your needs. If you have more questions, you can mail me through your system." The administrator then left through teleportation leaving Ray and the still scanning Artemis alone.
After the administrator left, Ray excitedly put Artemis into sword form and returned to Hunter's Dream. Ray is excited that he finally has a way to summon his waifu from Azur Lane.
But now he is in a dilemma, who to summon? He will rarely be on sea and they shipgirl only thrive in naval battle… maybe the carrier could? Since they can stay stationary and send planes. He also realised that he can buy futuristic equipment to modify them too if he needed.
Ray could already imagine modifying them into a space capable ship and he can build a massive fleet of space versions of Azur Lane.
Artemis who just finished scanning woke up to Ray grinning ear to ear laughing like an evil lord.
"Perhaps the master is really a madman, he looks like a demon lord planning world domination." She sighs at her master's antics.

After they return to Hunter's Dream, Ray and Artemis see a modern looking house replacing the hunter workshop. They walk up to the house to see that the inside is barren while Maria is sitting on the wheelchair while holding Ray's true body which grew larger than last time he saw.
"Greetings Good Hunter, I hope your journey is fruitful? I heard from a few summoned hunters that you won a battle against an outer god follower."
Ray simply nodded and sat on the floor with his back against the wall. Artemis then sat on his side and started doing her stuff.

A lucky draw function that can be unlocked through contract or buy from Hub. Drawing the lottery requires certain tickets that can be bought or dropped by monsters in the dungeon and Grand Labyrinth.
Ray then opened the lottery screen and saw That there are 4 types of lottery. Each lottery also has different types of tickets. The first two can be bought using Hub Points or Contribution Points.

Rewards range from copper to silver rank. Tickets can be bought for 1k Hub Points each.
-Special Lottery
Rewards range from iron to silver rank or occasionally special rewards. Tickets can be bought for 10k Hub Points each.
-Super Lottery
Rewards range from silver to gold rank. The main reward is a platinum rank item. Tickets can only be obtained through Dungeon and Grand Labyrinth or randomly appear in the contribution shop.
-Rate Up Lottery
Reward Range from silver to platinum rank. The main rewards are special ranked items. Tickets only obtainable through special tasks or quests and extremely rare will drop from dimensional warzone.
Ray saw the Character Summon Gem (Custom) in the Special Lottery reward list. With his current points, Ray can pull a total 180 times. The win rate of the special reward is 3%. There are a total of 20 special rewards in the list.
He should be able to win it right? His luck is maxed, he is convinced that he has a higher chance to obtain the gem. Ray decided to spin 40 times for now, he needed to keep points in reserve for future uses.

After 40 spins, Ray didn't obtain the summon gem but he did obtain some good stuff from the lottery. Although most of them are… useless. Why is fake money used by Chinese to burn for the dead included in the lottery? Who should I burn for… My wallet?
Of the 40 rewards, 30 of it are material which he didn't have needs for which Ray left in the inventory. However he obtained 4 main rewards which honestly is a very good one like Potion of Youth.

Ray took the Skill Gem and saw a very long list of skills appeared. Ray found a skill that interested him very much. Since this skill seems to be related to his Psychic Manipulation.
-Haki [One Piece] (Silver Rank)
A mysterious technique that utilizes willpower, the spiritual energy for various purposes but focused in Intimidation, Sensing and Spiritual Armor.
This ability will definitely benefit Ray's psychic manipulation immensely since psychic power only focuses solely on willpower. Willpower is needed to use the ability and Haki will help him train his willpower rapidly.
Ray currently has the stats to be a powerhouse but he lacked the offensive power to be a powerhouse. His current offensive power is ranked on the low end of copper rank, he is able to compete with mid level opponents by brute forcing using raw stats and Artemis.
After thinking thoroughly, Ray uses the skill gem to obtain Haki. After that he equipped the Prototype Aegis 3 under the Hunter attire coat. Then he opened his status to inspect the changes.

Looking satisfied at his status, now time for him to summon the companion. He plans to dive the rank up dungeon afterwards and he might as well bring a companion with him.
After much thought, Ray decided to summon Scáthach since he would require the Eternal Arms Mastery. She can probably bypass the limitation of requirements of obtaining skill which require the user to obtain skill either through skill gem or obtained through certain ways.
For example, Ray cannot simply manipulate his mana to form fireballs to get pyromancy or fire magic skill. He is able to do it with Psychic Manipulation due to his race's innate gift and the other skill he gets from Bloodborne world is because he is taught or simply did it long enough and has a mentor to teach.
Ray can learn skill through long research and studies under a mentor but can he spend that long to do it? Which is why Ray needs Scáthach's Wisdom of Dún Scáith that enables her to learn a skill to teach him and teach him any skill she possesses.
Ray shudders when imagine if he lets her learn Dragon Nova from Tensura then hook her up to a mana source, she can shoot a compressed blackhole and supernova. Ray banishes the thought before leaving to one of the empty rooms to summon her.
Entering a room, Ray called Artemis in 1H form to his side ready to defend himself if Scáthach attacked him. The summoned character isn't confirmed to be loyal to him upon summoning since he never summoned any character other than Maria who he was already familiar with.
He checks himself, making sure he has everything ready before he takes out the summon gem to summon Scáthach. He grips the gem strongly until it breaks and releases bright light this time that blinds his sight.
"I Scáthach, Witch of Dún Scáith has answered your call to fi… Weird, I feel no presence of the grail. Doesn't look like Chaldea either…" the strangely talkative Scáthach. He rarely sees her outside of… offbrand manga, so he didn't know about her real personality.
However Scáthach is an extremely beautiful woman. She has long purple hair and red eyes, and wears a full-body outfit that highlights her curvaceous body, with metallic shoulder pads and mask that hide half of her face. Just looking at her is enough to give rise to Ray's dormant desire and sway him from the teaching of the Loli sect.
Noticing the mesmerised Ray, she greets him… with her spear. Artemis reacts by parrying the spear thrust which wakes up Ray to quickly switch to plan B since she is hostile.
Holding Artemis in a ready stance, he pulled out Blunderbuss with his left hand to shoot at her which she swiftly dodged effortlessly. He returned the Blunderbuss and took out a concussion grenade he obtained from the lottery.
Ray detonates it when he moves very close to her causing the grenade to explode on both of their faces causing their movements to become sluggish. However, instead of also becoming sluggish, Ray uses his Psychic Manipulation to move his body without any problem.
Ray lifts Artemis to her neck, ready to slash if she refuses to stop what he assumed to be a test. As expected after a few seconds, the concussion grenade effect that is supposed to last for minutes wears off in a matter of seconds.
"..." She stares at Ray for a few more seconds before replying. "You are strong enough…, how did you summon me?"
Ray answered her question and also told her the reason he summoned her. He requires a mentor to teach him skills and improve his offensive power.
"I see… I never expected Alaya to be willing to sell the Throne of Hero away. Even if it is just a copy, given her tendency and vice grip on the heroes." She spoke in slight disbelief and surprise.
"Then, will you accept being my companion?" Ray asks, trying to seal the deal quickly when her impressions are favourable.
"Hm… I get nothing out of this deal, my wish is to find a way to kill my true self. However, if what you told me earlier is correct, my true self is endless and there is no real way to kill myself." Scáthach spoke of killing herself nonchalantly as if picking the next meal to eat.
This is going to end up as failure, Ray doesn't have anything to compensate or reward her for becoming his companions. Perhaps Merlin will work better since that stalker will simply be satisfied by allowing him/her to venture with him outside of the tower that confined him.
Seeing that Ray failed to convince failed Scáthach into becoming his companions. The system suddenly proposed something absurd, something he didn't dare to think of before.

Previously he would reject such thought of brainwashing people to his need but now, he is no longer confined by earth morality. He rightfully owned Scáthach that he bought using his hard earned points.
Ray swallows his saliva nervously as he is about to modify her 'setting'. Suddenly she replied which surprised Ray.
(Note: The modified settings don't brainwash, it just changes the timeline she came from but Ray simply assume. For example Ray can select to either summon Arturia during Fate Zero, the blank slate or after meeting Shirou or from the FGO timeline.)

Ray didn't know what expression she is making right now due to the mask hiding her face but his guts tell him that she is amused right now. Perhaps she wanted to see how far I could grow with my limitless potential to grow.
After that, Ray felt a stinging sensation on his right hand like something forcefully forced into it. He knew that its the command seal added to his hand. Although he didn't need it to command Scáthach, the magic efficiency 2% per command seal is a good buff.
Ray lift him hand to see the seal look similar like the Hunter mark hold up by two hand. He assumed that is because he is now the god of the hunters and the mark symbolise his status perhaps.
"Now that the contract is sealed, lets get started."
"Wait! Are we starting the training now?" Ray look surprised by Scáthach sudden enthusiasm.
"Of course. No time to waste, let's get started, Master."
Ray can already feel that the training will be hell. He can't complain too since its for his own good… right?
