1 Chapter 1

A pair of ebony eyes fluttered open, and there was a glazed, misty look in those eyes. The owner of those eyes blinked once more, and lifted their fair, slender hand to clutch their head as they groaned softly.

"My head... it hurts," A soft, feminine voice was heard as they muttered out, squeezing their eyes close. "Where even am I...?"

Opening her eyes once again, the glazed and misty-eyed look gradually disappeared as the woman observed her surroundings. Her eyes, now limpid began to show confusion as she continued glancing around.

There was nothing.

It was simply an empty white space around her, and she looked down, gasping in surprise when she found herself hovering.

"Wha-what is this? Where am I? Why am I flying?"

[ Greeting K7710, we have been waiting for you to awaken. ]

The woman gasped yet again, seeing a sentence written in black plastered across her line of sight. The sentence was uttered by a friendly, female voice.

"...uhm, where am I? All I remember was feeling faint as I walked across the road, and then I was hit by a car and I...flew?"

[ You were hit by a car in your previous world, and died immediately on impact. A tragic death indeed. ]

"Wh-what? I...died? I really...died? How can it...but I still haven't even--" The woman was horrified by the news, her curved eyebrows were furrowed. "Wh-where am I supposed to be now?"

[ Welcome to the Transmigration World System, K7710. You are one of the few individuals who have been selected to participate in the "Novel" program. Feel free to rejoice! My sole purpose is to guide you along this program, please feel free to address me as AI500. ]

The woman, K7710, was speechless.

The administrator didn't wait for K7710 to digest the information, continuing with her barrage.

[ The Transmigration World System will offer you an opportunity to transmigrate your soul into another world, or another dimension. Since you have been selected for the "Novel" section, you will be given the opportunity to transmigrate into an individual in a novel. The system has included a free bonus, where you will be transmigrated into your favourite novel. Hooray! You can rejoice once again! ]

"Uhh... this is just-"

[ Your favourite novel before your passing seems to be "Path to the Supreme God". The system has noted it down, and please be patient while we process the data and select an individual in the story for your soul to transmigrate to! ]

The moment the book name was uttered, the woman's delicate face twisted in disgust.

"Are you kidding me?! That's not my favourite novel, I hate that book! The author is a horrible writer!

[ Please be patient, K7710. ]

"If this is really true, and I'm being transmigrated, I would rather give this opportunity to someone else!"

[ Please be patient, K7710~ ]

"Hey! Are you listening to me? I don't want to be transmigrated!"

[ Please be patient, K7710! ]

Seeing the same sentence thrice in front of her face, along with AI500 uttering the words in an "adorable" manner, irked K7710 beyond words.

"Listen here, you damn AI! I am, for the last time, saying that I don't want to--"

[ Data integration completed. The system will proceed accordingly and you'll be transmigrated in five seconds. You will be given an official name once you have transmigrated into the character that the system had deemed the most compatible for you! ]

K7710 stared on in horror. She fumbled around, glancing around wildly before she turned and ran.

Where can I even run to?! It's just an empty white space here!

She glanced down, almost stumbling as she realised the white floor before her was occupied by a scenery of another world.

A world she was familiar with.

[ Transmigration has commenced, have a safe journey, K7710! ]

"...ong mist...s..."

"Young mist..."

"Young mistress?"

The young mistress inhaled sharply, her eyes snapping open. Her midnight eyes were limpid more than ever, and she blinked rapidly.

"Young mistress, are...are you alright?"

The same owner of those eyes, K7710, glanced up. A slim black-haired woman, whose hair have been tied up into a neat bun, regarded her in concern.

"Are you feeling unwell? You seem pale..."

K7710 turned her head back, realising she was sitting down on a comfy chair, in a regal posture. The mirror in front of her reflected her appearance clearly, and the oak dresser was filled with an array of beauty products. She saw a small delicate face, with curved eyebrows and thin almond eyes, an elegant, high nose bridge, plump and light pink lips that contrasted against her pale skin. Her straight, jet black reached down to her shoulders, stopping just a tiny bit above her waist.

The woman was lithe, willowy and absolutely beautiful. Her onyx, limpid eyes was her best feature, her eyes so clear, it seems to tug at one's heartstrings.

The young mistress slowly raised her arm, her hand touching her face in a gingerly manner. The mirror reflected every single part of her movement, and the young mistress was taken aback by how smooth the skin was. She looked down at her pale green, off-the-shoulder dress that reached down to her ankles. Tiny patterns of flowers decorated the dress, with a small amount of frills around her collar and the edges.

K7710 knew this wasn't her original appearance...and she definitely knew the person that donned this beautiful appearance before her.

Cecil Lan.

"Young mistress...?" The maid called out hesitantly, clutching at her skirt.

I can't believe it.

I really transmigrated...and into an unbelievable character.

Cecil Lan, who was originally Miranda Winters, paused, glancing up at her personal maid once again.

I...am no longer Miranda Winters. At this moment, from now on, I am...Cecil Lan.

She sighed inwardly, her emotions complex.

I didn't enjoy living as Miranda Winters anyway, but to live as Cecil Lan...

Cecil stared at her maid for a second longer, before her confused mien disappeared, only to be replaced by a haughty expression.

"Hmph, I'm alright," Cecil waved her off. "Stop fussing and leave me be, I'm tired."

"Bu-but, young mistress. The mistress demands your presence right away. You have just finished preparing, your servant thinks it would not be wise to—

Cecil narrowed her eyes at the maid. "I do not appreciate your tone, Lili."

Lili clutched tighter onto her skirt, excused herself quickly and scampered off.

The moment Lili turned, Cecil's haughty look dropped instantly and she even seemed guilty at scaring her poor personal maid.

Unfortunately, the original Cecil Lan wasn't a nice person.

She stood up, heading towards her queen-sized bed, casting her eyes downwards at the carpeted floor for a moment. She sat down on her bed, touching the snowy, silky bedsheet as she crossed her leg, swinging it lightly.

Her mannerisms were nothing like the original Cecil Lan.

The translucent curtains were tied up to the corners of the bed, and to there was an opened door that led to the wardrobe. An assortment of clothes that ranged from robes, dresses and cloaks, jewelry and accessories were seen.

To the other side of the room, she could see two more doors, and one led to the bathroom, while the other led to her balcony. She could see the clear, sunny skies from outside, the soft sunlight streaming into the bedroom.

"This sure beats the hospital room back at my world," Cecil muttered to herself, the amazement present in her voice. "As expected of the arrogant and rich Cecil Lan."

After a moment, she paused and remembered something. Seeing that she had the room to herself, she immediately started to call out to someone in her mind.

"System."

Silence.

"Administrator?"

Silence.

"Stupid system!"

Silence.

Cecil wore an annoyed look, sitting up straight.

"...AI500."

[ Hello Cecil Lan! How may this esteemed one serve the lowly you? ]

Cecil froze, growing more annoyed at the AI insulting her. "Excuse me? For the one who threw me in here without my permission, you are being unnecessarily rude!"

[ The Transmigration World System was solely responsible. AI500 plays no part in it, I am only here to serve the low--the respected you. ]

Cecil scoffed, throwing her annoyance aside. She needed to ask the question that has been bugging her this entire time.

"Fine, just tell me this, can I transfer myself to another novel if I want to?"

[ Definitely not~ ]

Cecil sighed helplessly, she knew it.

"How did you even arrive to the conclusion that this was my favourite novel anyway?"

[ The system has noted that the highest amount of votes, comments and reads, along with the time you have followed this novel to be the one at the top of your list. Do not worry, the system is very accurate! ]

She felt her eyebrows twitching in frustration. It was only the highest because she was having an unhealthy addiction to this novel, and she was rewarded with a horrible ending and a horrible mistreatment of the protagonist the entire time!

Even the plot holes that were so big that the author did not bother to fix that tempted one to type a scathing remark.

She wished she hadn't dedicated her time to this novel, and just gave up entirely on the novel!

Everything about this novel was just horrible!

The only reason she stayed was because the protagonist and the main heroine, Hana Katae!

...even though Hana was a complete bimbo.

"Screw that! I hate this novel, and your damn system even put me in such an awful character!"

[ The system allocation has always been accurate and perfect. You are right where you deserve to be! Be happy! ]

Cecil stood up abruptly, wearing an indignant expression.

"Shit, what the hell! Are you telling me I deserve to be a cannon fodder villain?!"

[ Definitely~ ]

The young mistress was enraged, she swore that she could even puke out blood. Cannon fodder villains tend to experience the most excruciating deaths, and the previous Cecil Lan was at the top of the list.

Are you telling me I got involved in a hit-and-run accident, to come to this world to die in another awful death?!

Though, that wasn't even the worst part. The one responsible for her death was the protagonist...whom she admired with all her heart.

《 start 》

Something has definitely changed...but what?

Is it Hana?

《 stop 》
