Chapter song: I'm coming out by Diana Ross
AN: (The song Jared was singing in the previous Chapter
just thought I would drop that in there.)
Janice couldn't believe what Chris had told her. Maya knew he was gay and had used it to banish him from the house, all because he came to her defense. She had seen it, she had heard it in her voice but she had ignored it because she just couldn't let herself believe that the person that was once her friend could turn on her like this, but it was true, for some reason Maya didn't like her and she needs to know why, she had to get to the bottom of this and settle it, now, she thought dialing Maya's number.
Maya answered on the second ring. "Yes," She said in a dry tone. "Maya, we're both adults and I was hoping you could tell me why you're so hostile toward me," Janice said in a soft tone.
"I was hoping you could tell me why you're so hostile towards me." Maya said in a mocking tone. "Please, I don't have time for this, unlike you the pampered wife, I've to work for a living." Maya said in a scornful tone.
"Please don't hang up, just talk to me, and get it all off your chest. I need to know please." Janice pleads. "Alright so you want to know why I'm so hostile to you, okay, so here's the truth, I found out you're not as innocent as you act. You're a tease, a flirt and you use your innocent act to come onto men then act as if they're the ones coming onto you.
You've men running to your rescue with your damsel in distress act and they all fall for it, especially my husband. He has had feelings for you ever since you came to that house and he still does, you know that, and you use it to your advantage.
My husband is only interested in going to church when he knows you're going and then he spends more time in your ears than he does listening to what is been said." Maya said taking a deep breath.
"He's only asking about the service?" Janice said trying to get a word in as Maya stop to take a breath. "I'm his wife if he has questions then he should ask me, not you. You began flirting with his cousin from the moment the man walks through the door, you lured him to your room then acts as if he was raping you…"
"No…that's not true, I never flirted with him I…." 'Yes you did, I saw you, and as if things couldn't get any worst you had those disgusting pieces of filth parading around the Jackson's home infecting the place with their disease-ridden self.
You have those abominations in that house, knowing full well what they are, you're even best friends with them and you call yourself a child of God, you're a fake Janice, a big fake but let me warn you, stay the hell away from my husband, he's mine, bitch.
Even though we argue with each other, we still love each other, you on the other hand are so afraid to disagree with Tyler because you're scared he'll take you back to where he found you and leave you there, so you go around playing the perfect wife.
I on the other hand am not afraid to speak my mind because I have a home to return to, unlike you, if it wasn't for Ty, you would have nothing, what makes you so damn special?" Maya asks before ending the call in Janice's ear.
For a long time after Maya had ended the call, Janice just sat there with the phone in her hand as tears run down her face. She would've never believed it if she didn't hear it herself.
Ty entered the room, saw her crying, and rush to her side. "Hey kitten, what's wrong? Kitten talk to me, what's going on?" He asks pulling her towards him and hugging her tightly. She grips his shirt tightly and cried on his chest as she told him everything Maya had just said to her and needless to say he was livid with anger by the time she was finished.
"I'm so sorry kitten, I'll deal with this, don't stress yourself about what she said, I know you and I know that everything she said was a load of crap and now she'll have to deal with me," Ty said in a cold tone. "Now we only have two more days left here and we're not going to let that hateful woman spoil our vacation, okay." He says kissing her tear-stained cheek.
"Okay." She said with a weak smile. "Alright, so are you ready to enjoy this delicious cake you send me out to buy?" he asks kissing her nose. "Mmm-hmm." "Hey, don't you for one moment think that I don't take what she said seriously because I do and I know it's going to be a while before you can erase all her hurtful words from your mind but whenever they raise their ugly head just remember how much I love you and how much my family loves you, okay." He said hugging her again. "Okay, I will."
A few hours later Janice was asleep and Ty was getting ready for bed when his phone rang. "Hey little brother, how's it going?" Caleb asks in a cheerful tone but Ty just snorts. "It was going fine until your wife attacked my kitten with her hateful words.
You know how fragile Janice is, she has no idea how to handle all the hate and anger that Maya is pushing at her and especially not now when she's pregnant, but since your wife has succeeded in pissing me off she should beware because I won't let her get away with it." Ty said ending the call and placing his phone on the bedside table.
