Needless to say, he didn't even get a chance to scratch his head much less call his wife, he and the others actually didn't get to their hotel room until sometime after two am. He still logged on and was surprised to get an immediate response from Janice.
"Baby are you okay?" She asks panic fills her soft voice. "I'm fine kitten, we had a crisis on our hands today, lots of injured people, and a shortage of doctors but we did manage to get things under control. They just dropped us off and told us to get some rest. How are you kitten? How was your day?" He asks with a yarn.
"Hectic, Medical school is no joke but not as hectic as yours, the kids are fine, making a mess, as usual, I went by Miss Watson, brought her some pastries, and she said hi." "Okay thank you kitten, I really appreciate how you are with them, especially Tyrone.
"Well they didn't do anything to me so why should I be mean to them, they're good people and the fact that Kayla came from them isn't their fault." She said and he smiles. "Thanks, kitten, not a lot of people would see it that way." "But I do, they're important to you, so they're important to me, to all of us actually, even your mom, she has really taken a liken to Miss Watson's girls.
"I'm not surprised my mom has a very big heart, medically that would be a bad thing but in this case, it's a very good thing." He laughs. He spoke to her for as long as he could until his eyes slowly closed down and he succumbed to exhaustion.

Ty and Jason were having lunch at the hospital the following day when the chief of staff approach them. They immediately stand as a show of respect but he smiles and waves them back down. "Sit please." He said taking a seat beside them. "I'm sorry to disturb your lunch, I just need to say a few words to Mr. Jackson here." He said smiling at Ty.
"Oh God, Mr. Jackson is my dad, please call me Tyler," Ty said making a face. "Well that may be true but it does say Dr. Jackson on your name tag, anyway I just wanted to say that I was very impressed with your actions yesterday. We were extremely overwhelmed and even though this isn't your place of work you jumped right in, take charge, and got things done." The man said in admiration.
"When some of the members of your team were about to buckle under the pressure I see you encouraging them without missing a beat and when some were baffled about what to do you explained to them calmly again without actually stopping what you were doing. You were fixing broken bones, stitching up wounds, and checking for internal injuries while helping your team do the same and still making the patient feel like the most important person in the room." The man said in awe.
"That doesn't come with the job that's a built-in skill right there, you're a natural-born leader and you're going to make a great chief of staff one day, and please Dr wellington please I mean no disrespect you're also very good at what you do but…" "Hey, say no more sir, I agree with you a hundred percent and right before you came over here I was actually telling him the exact same thing but he didn't believe me." Jason laugh and punch Ty's shoulder.
"He's a natural, I seriously think he could actually do all this in his sleep. He works well with others, he helps where ever he can and he's relentless when it comes on to something he can't solve." Jason says and Ty smiles at his friend. "I thank both of you for your kind words but this's what I do and will continue doing as long as I have breath."
"Well, I can tell you, a lot of people have their eyes on you, including the coordinator of your program, and you're destined for great things, so on that note, if you're ever looking to work in a different environment anytime in the future just know our doors will always be open to accommodate someone with your special skills." The man said shaking Ty's hand again and getting up.
"Sorry, doc but we don't plan on parting with him anytime soon," Jason said his arm around Ty's shoulder. "I can respect that, have a good afternoon gentlemen." He said with a nod. "Thank you, sir." They replied in union then looks at each other and laughs as the man shakes his head at them and walks away. "Now do you believe me?" Jason asks punching him again. "You're going places dawg." "Correction, we're going places," Ty said throwing a fry at him.
