Forfeit your power stone and I shall bestow upon you a riddle of my choosing. A man went on a trip with a fox, a goose and a sack of corn. He came upon a stream which he had to cross and found a tiny boat to use to cross the stream. He could only take himself and one other - the fox, the goose, or the corn - at a time. He could not leave the fox alone with the goose or the goose alone with the corn.

How does he get all safely over the stream? Enjoy the chapter!)

The first day of the tournament was used to simply cut down the number of participants in the undercard. There are way too many people that signed up, so they had to be cut down. If we didn't hold these free for all's, the tournament would last a month or more. It also gives the tournament some spice, as the crowd gets something different to watch before the normal one vs one matches. When the last free for all ended, I stood in the center of the arena and addressed the crowd.

"That marks the end of today's matches. On behalf of the royal family, I would like to thank you all for coming. These thanks are also directed at the participants, and to those that have already lost. If you would all please orderly exit the coliseum. Matches will resume tomorrow at the same time as today. I'll see you tomorrow." I say and disappear in a flash of fire.

I went straight to my room in the palace. The second I returned to the palace, I called out Souei and had him find out what's going on with the Bestia royal family. He sent some clones to observe them and do some digging. Until I know what's going on, my decision to marry or not will be put on hold. I'm far too young for marriage at the moment anyway.

After relaxing a bit, My servants and I went back to the dungeon. We were still in the labyrinth and haven't found the stairs to the next floor yet. While exploring the maze, I killed all of the core beasts that came in our way. When we reached the end of the labyrinth, we were met with a set of tall ornate doors. This is the floor guardians room. Every five floors of a dungeon has a floor guardian. No one knows why these guardians are posted every five floors, but one thing for sure. They are far stronger than anything on the floor they're guarding. Most adventurers form large groups against floor guardians, as the guardians could easily slaughter normal groups of adventurers.

"Master, I strongly suggest you take our help against the floor guardian." Souei states.

"Why is that?"

"Floor guardians are on a whole other level compared to what you've faced thus far. You could get yourself killed if you aren't strong enough." He explains.

"Your council is noted, but I haven't run into anything challenging and that truly disappoints me. I need to test my limits and I can't do that with normal core beasts."

"I understand, Master. Although, if your life is ever at stake, I will interfere and save you no matter what." Souei says and Rem nods from her place beside him.

"Alright, I have no problem with that." I smile at my servants.

Knowing that I have such loyal and capable servants is a good feeling. I know that no matter what happens they can handle it and protect me, and on top of that, they will never betray me.

"Are you guys ready, or do you want to take a short break?" I ask.

"Can we take a quick break and eat? I haven't eaten since this morning." Rem asks as her stomach growls.

"Sure, I could eat as well. Souei could you get us some food?" I agree and send Souei to get us food.

Without Souei it's just Rem, Nova, and I. Now that I have Rem alone, I should probably ask her about her behavior lately. I've been putting it off and this seems like the perfect time to ask.

"Rem, do you have something against the Bestia kingdoms royal family?" I ask whilst leaning against the wall of the labyrinth.

"No, why do you ask?" She answers with a confused expression on her face.

"Then why may I ask do you seem to have something against princess Aella and Ruby?" I lean forward slightly and await her answer.

Without her answering, I could already come to a conclusion based on her reaction. Her cheeks blushed and she immediately turned her head away from me. This could only mean that she's embarrassed about her answer. This narrows down the reason considerably.

"Well..." she mutters and I couldn't hear a word she said.

"What did you say? I couldn't hear you." I say with a small smile.

"I said I don't like you spending time with those women. They could be dangerous." Rem says with some emphasis on her words.

"Only half of what you just said is true, isn't it?" I said as I stepped towards her. "You don't like me spending time with them? Now, that is true, but I don't think you believe they're dangerous to me. After all, I have Souei protecting me every second of the day." I stare her directly in the eye as I'm face to face with her. Our noses are inches from each other and her blush is getting redder and redder by the second.

"I-I-I I'm not lying." She ducks her head down away from my line of sight.

"Yes, you are. I'll forgive it this once, as this seems to be a matter of the heart." I say as I hold Rem's chin and tilt her head towards me.

Before Rem could say anything, Souei appears beside us with food in his hands. The smell of tasty food causes Rem's stomach to grumble.

"Am I interrupting something?" Souei asks as he eyes the both of us.

"No, this can be continued outside of the dungeon," I say as I remove my fingers from her chin and turn towards Souei. Rem turns away and wouldn't look at either of us.

After finishing a slightly awkward meal, we stood beside the entrance of the guardian's room. I take in a few breathes and prepare for what could be the hardest fight of my life.

"You guys ready?" I look over my shoulder and ask. Souei, Nova, and Rem nod at me with looks of confidence on their faces. "Good, then let's get on with this boss fight. I hope I get a ton of XP from killing it." I say and push the doors open.

On the other side of the doors is a large room being held up by pillars throughout the room. In the center is a huge bull with icy horns. The sound of the door opening draws the attention of the frosty bull. It turns its head to me with a murderous expression. The doors shut behind us and disappear leaving only a wall behind.
