C59 Dungeon (1)

As of this chapter, the patreòn is 4 chapters ahead at chapter 62. I'll probably be writing and posting some more chapters for patrons today. Also there are 6 chapters of the Naruto story on the patreòn as well.

After a quick teleport via Nova, my summoned servants and I appeared back in the capital. I would say that I've missed this place and how nostalgic it is to be back, but I've been teleporting here at least 4 times a week for the past 3 years. The city itself is packed with way more people than usual. This is due to the tournament that starts in a week's time. People from all over the kingdom have come to see the tournament that will decide who is the strongest. Many foreign dignitaries from all over have also been invited.

Since I have a week before the tournament, I'll spend that time in the dungeons. I've been neglecting my rank, and feel that it's finally time to power level. I'm not going to power level until I hit the double-digit floors, as I want to feel what it's like to be in a dungeon as any other adventurer. After that, I'll have Souei injure beasts for me to kill. It's the fastest way I can think of to rank up quickly. It's early in the day, so we'll go into the dungeon now. I'm pretty sure that my parents would freak out if they knew that I was going into the dungeon at the age of 10, so we are going to teleport into the first floor.

We can't just walk on in because every regulated dungeon has guards at the entrance. If you wish to enter you have to show the guards your guild ID or Army ID, and they mark down every person that enters and exits. My parents would be informed of my entrance into the dungeon. That is if the guards even let me into the dungeon in the first place. For all I know they could have been ordered to keep me out. This is very possible, so we are just going to teleport in, as that seems to be the easiest way.

After yet another teleport, Souei, Nova, Rem, and I appear in a huge dark cave. I can see young low ranked adventurers fighting off low-rank beasts all around us. The core beasts are all random from squirrels to bears, but they were all low rank. As I was looking around the cave, two core beast prowled their way towards us. Both of them are low ranked monkey core beasts. Before I even noticed their presence, they were already right in front of us. Rem was the first to act and launched herself at them with her giant flail. Appearing in front of the first monkey Rem pulls back her flail and caves the first monkeys head in, killing it instantly.

When the second monkey saw what happened to its partner, it turned around and ran for its life. It only got so far before Rem appeared in front of the fleeing monkey, and slammed her flail into its chest. The monkey's chest caved in onto its lungs, and it fell to the ground. A look of panic appearing in the eyes of the monkey as it tried to breathe, but its lungs had collapsed. This monkey died slowly as it tried as best it could to take in even the slightest bit of oxygen.

"Good job, Rem. Thanks for watching out for me as always." I say and Rem nods with slightly rosy cheeks.

"Anytime, Master." She says with her fake-sounding politeness.

"Souei, you know the way better than any of us, so why don't you lead us." I say.

"Sure, Master. Please follow me."

Souei begins to lead us through the dungeon, and we make it to the second floor without encountering any more core beasts. Although we did see many low ranked adventurers fighting core beasts along the way.

When we descended into the second floor of the dungeon, the layout was very different from the giant cave on the first floor. This floor looked to be a Labyrinth made of stone walls that went all the way up to the ceiling, so I guess we won't be climbing over.

"Souei, you lead the way, but don't get involved in the fighting unless you absolutely have to. I want to test my training and see how far I've come." I say.

Souei nods and leads the way to the exit of the Labyrinth. We passed a few adventurers along the way, and soon enough we ran into another group of core beasts. This time it's a big evil-looking salamander and a snake that looks like an oversized rattlesnake. When they enter our line of sight, I turn to the rest of the group.

"Hey, let me take care of them alone. I need to test my training, and these low ranked beasts shouldn't be too troublesome." I say and they comply.

As if hearing my Insult towards them, the two beasts quicken their speed towards us. My servants back up to give me space for my first real fight against a core beast. My palms are sweaty, I feel slightly nauseous, and I'm shaking a little. This is my first real battle where I'll be fighting alone, so I'm a bit nervous and scared. I know this is normal, and I just have to do what I was trained to do. I take a deep breath to ready myself for my first real fight in this world.

When the two beasts arrived within 20 feet of me, my hands lit up with Phoenix Fire. I also pumped battle energy into specific parts of my body. Mainly my legs, as I wish to enhance my speed. My strategy is to dance around the beasts, and fire magic at them. As the beasts got closer, I fire a barrage of flaming spears at them. They both dodge easily and rush at me to bite my head off. Before they can get anywhere near me, I dodge the left and kick forward. After kicking forward, I appeared behind the snake and salamander. From behind them, I shoot a large hail of arrows at the beast's open backs.

The snake somehow dodged the arrows without a problem, but the salamander wasn't so lucky. The tip of the salamander's tail was nailed to the labyrinth floor holding it still, as 3 other fire arrows struck its body. As the fire arrows entered the salamander's body, a hissing sound could be heard, as the arrows started cooking the areas they hit. The salamander screamed out in pain as the arrows grilled into its wounds. While the salamander was screaming, I once again shoot a spear of Phoenix Fire at it. The spear struck it directly in the head killing it instantly. The smell of grilled salamander spread throughout the labyrinth.

The snake didn't seem to be as smart as the monkey from earlier, and instead of running away, it tried to sneak up on me from behind. This is useless since I have magic sense, and can easily feel everything around me. When the snake went to lung at me, I materialized a sword of fire, gripped it, and drove it under my armpit. The sword drove through the snake's open mouth, and into its brain killing it swiftly.

"Huh, I thought this would be different, but I don't feel much of anything from this." I shrug and move on through the labyrinth.
