I'm hoping to get top three in the rankings this week, so give me some power stones please. Enjoy the chapter!)

Arvendon Fortress isn't the best fortress in the Fortis Kingdom, but it will give our side a huge advantage. The best forts are located at the borders of the kingdom to protect from invasion. Not to say that the fort isn't impressive because it is. It's almost five times the size of any fort built in earths medieval era, and the walls are monstrously high and thick. The reason we are holding up in a fortress is that defending from a fort will heighten our chance of winning by a lot. After arriving at the Fort, Souei told me that we have a week until the enemy arrives. During that time I'll think up some contingency plans in case things go south.

The fortress we are staying in is packed with all the resources we need, so we could hold here for almost a year if needed. I won't let it come to that, but we could if we have to. A day later, and the nobles on our side arrived. Our army is now around 200,000 strong, and the revolting army has slightly more, but our fortress defense should still give us the advantage. Before going to sleep that night, Souei appeared in front of me.

"We have a problem, Master." He said.

"What is it?" I ask.

"The Malum Kingdom has decided to get involved, and are siding with the former Crowned Prince." He said.

"Hmm, how many are they sending?" I ask.

"20,000 mage cavalry, 20,000 fighter cavalry, 20,000 mage infantry, and 40,000 fighter infantry. 100,000 soldiers altogether." He says.

"Hmm, that may upset our defensive plan. What are they getting out of this?" I ponder.

"They were offered land from Duke Freemont should your brother become king." He explains.

"Yes, they would definitely move for that, but I don't trust them. My guess is after getting the land, they'll declare war again for the rest." I say.

"Yes, that's very possible. Should I enter the game yet?" He asks hopefully.

"No, using you is like sending a nuke to kill an ant. Have my parents heard of this yet?" I ask.

"Yes and no, they know the Duke asked for reinforcements, but not that the Malum Kingdom accepted. When the Malum Kingdoms army crosses our borders, the aerie will most likely inform your father." He says.

"How long until they cross the border?" I ask.

"Two days maybe three." He says.

"Good, alright I have a plan. I just hope my parents will listen to me."

Two days later, everyone learned of the Malum Kingdom joining my brother's side. This ruined our sides morale, but I have come up with a plan. That night when my parents, the generals, and nobles were in talks of what to do I walked in with nova on my shoulder.

"What's wrong, Syrin? We're a bit busy at the moment." Father says, as everyone looks towards me.

"I have a plan to deal with the Malum Kingdoms Army." I state, as I take a seat in front of everyone. Nova jumps from my shoulder and rests on the top of the chair above my head.

"Haha, that's funny, Your Highness. Why don't you get to bed? Don't get me wrong, I think you'll be a fine king one day, but you're a bit young to be coming up with plans of war." General Buckmond laughed. He's the general of the Royal army, and acting general of the current united army. He's an old man with grey hair, and walks with a cane. I can see mother glaring at him for laughing at me, but I'm sure she agrees with him.

"How about this, I'll explain my plan and if you don't think it's good I'll go to bed and won't bother you again. Think of it as catering to the whims of a child for a moment." I offer.

"Sure, sweetheart. We'll give you five minutes, but after that, you should really get to bed." My mother agrees. No one can say anything now because that's the future Queen. With Liviana rebelling the only other choice is the second wife. She just needs to be coronated.

"Thanks, mom." I say and everyone is surprised by how nonchalant we are with each other. Most Noble children are taught to show respect for someone above their station, even if that person is your mother or father.

"Alright, Syrin out with it." Father says.

"Before I start, I'd like to ask do you trust everyone in this room, dad?" I ask.

"Yes, these are all the most loyal Nobles I know." He responds. The aerie must be watching them, and that's how he knows they're loyal.

"Good, here's the plan. We have about two or three days before the rebel army arrives correct?" I ask and everyone nods. "And the Malum Kingdom recently crossed the border, so they should arrive in about a week?" I ask again and receive more nods. "General Buckmond, if you could surprise attack the Malum Kingdom Army while they're traveling here, what would you need to either finish them off or force them to retreat within two to three days? Don't even think about travel time, just the fighting itself." I ask.

"If it was a perfect surprise and we caught them completely unaware. About 20,000 mage cavalry and 30,000 fighter cavalry should work. I would also send some elders in case the Malum Kingdom sent some of theirs. Why do you ask?" He answers.

"Hmm, then my plan is definitely possible. Nova, show General Buckmond." I order, and Nova flys to the General and lands on his shoulder. The General and Nova then disappear is a flash of fire. The whole room has shocked faces, and some are probably thinking I killed the General. My parents understand what my plan is now, and they have evil smiles on their faces. Before anyone has a chance to say anything, the General and Nova appear in another flash of fire.

"T-that is brilliant." The General stuttered.

"What's brilliant? Where did you go?" A confused Noble asked.

"I saw the Malum Kingdoms army marching towards us. That bird can make us appear anywhere, can't it?" He asks me.

"She can instantly travel anywhere she has been before." I say.

"Good! How many can she bring along with her?" He asks. Getting excited for a plan that may actually work.

"I never tested it, but we could try doing ten at a time and work our way up from there. Even if it's a small amount at a time, if we organize it correctly Nova can work very fast." I say.

"Yes, we need to test it tonight so tomorrow can be spent on setting up the ambush. They'll never know what hit them." He says with a vicious smile on his face.

"Please wait, I need some proof that this actually works before I agree to whatever this plan is." One Noble said, getting nods from the rest.

"Alright, I guess this can be the first test. Everyone, grab onto the person next to you. Nova, take us where you took the General." I ordered, and everyone reluctantly did as I said. A flash of fire later, and we appeared on a faraway hill overlooking the Malum Kingdoms Army, as they march along a dirt road in a giant line. Every Noble now has a malicious smile on their face.
