[The Inevitable Happened! The Lightning Slit becomes a war zone.]

[Today, the 15th of Octostar, the tenth month of the year, it has been confirmed by reliable sources within Lightning Slit that the criminal armies of Zakov and Eny have been clashing across the city in the illegal zone.]

[Currently, there is not much information about the case, all that is known is that the attack came from Eny's army, attacking a weapons warehouse owned by Zakov.]

[The conflict supposedly began on the night of the 13th, when an explosion occurred at the location, revealing Eny's criminals.]

[We consulted one of our political science experts, Luccas Humbert, to find out what this attack affects and what the forecast will be for the next few days.]

["Look, this attack by Eny's organization wasn't just done with the intention of creating a conflict, it was a strategic measure. From what we know, Zakov has more power than Eny, so attacking warehouses could reduce their war power and leave them on an equal footing." He said.]

[Some sources speculate that this warehouse contained first-hand bows and swords, as well as some staffs.]

["The next few days will probably be the most difficult. The innocents still need to leave the premises, and we know that criminals do not care about innocent people. The Union of Kingdoms must take quick action urgently, before there is a bloodbath. " Complemented.]

[Supreme Swordsman Kalos also commented on the matter: "In my opinion, Zakov will win this contest. But if, for some reason, Eny wins, we should keep an eye on him. Him still being a young man means he will still become more dangerous, and if he wins the war, it means he will become the great boss of the Lightning Slit." He said.]

[Kalos is currently on the Elven Continent, he sent us this statement in the form of a letter a few days before the conflict occurred. Our newspaper was contacting Kalos to get its opinion on the conflict.]

[As the Supreme Swordsman is far away at the moment, everything indicates that it will be Zoe Ethy who will be sent on a mission to end the conflict]

(In a dark room, completely sunk in darkness, in which no one knows where. However, an overwhelming presence can be felt in the midst of darkness)1

The silence is almost absolute, only a light and almost imperceptible breathing can be heard.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

Someone knocks on the door.

"Come in." A jovial female voice speaks from the darkness.

The door slams open, letting a dazzling light appear behind the door and faintly enter the room.

At the door, a silhouette of a person apparently wearing armor can be seen.

"Ms. Zoe, have you heard the news yet!?" A manly but somewhat desperate voice says.

Beneath all that darkness lies Zoe Ethy, the Supreme Mage. It is not possible to observe her in the darkness, nor even hear her breathing.

"Of course, it was the first thing I saw when I woke up." She says in an unassuming tone. "I confess I was surprised, but I think it was pretty obvious where this was going to end..." She says.

"The Union of Kingdoms is divided!" The man says. "They don't know whether to send you there or not. Many say it will be like throwing someone into a dragon's nest, but some argue that you are the only one who is ready to end the conflict!" He says.

Silence then takes over, with no response coming from Zoe.

"Tell the Union of Kingdoms to send gold-badge adventurers to get the civilians out of there. And I'll see where this ends." Zoe breaks the silence. "If something happens outside the Lightning Slit, I will be ready to act." She says calmly.

"Understood ma'am!" The man responds.

"And another thing... Don't call me ma'am." Zoe says.

The man closes the door, and the room is plunged into darkness again.

Then the war finally began...

It must be horrible for whoever is there. Just imagining it gives me chills...
