Learning to Use Magic!

How is it? 3 Magics!?!?

Me???

A silence hangs in the air for a few moments; everyone is stunned and wide-eyed.

"WHAT?!" Richard exclaims in complete elation.

"Oh my gods…" Hera puts both hands to her face.

William just looks at me in awe, his mouth slightly open.

"Did I say I'm done explaining?" Bovary says.

"Sorry." My parents say.

"Light has approximately fifty percent assimilation with Forest Goddess Magic, thirty percent with Earth God Magic, and ten percent with Thunder God Magic." She says.

God of thunder!? This guy is super popular around here! His heroic deeds are always highlighted in the stories.

"GOD OF THUNDER?!?!" Richard exclaims. "I am a staunch devotee of him!" He says next.

50% Forest Magic, 30% Earth Magic, and 10% Thunder Magic. I would say that I was born triple-lucky!

From the books I've read, a person being born with 2 magics is already considered a rarity, but a person being born with 3 magics is almost considered a miracle...

That's a good start...

With these three spells, I can already guarantee that I won't be left behind!

With that, 1 month passed, and I finally started using magic!

After releasing the mana, using magic becomes quite easy. It's like I'm channeling energy into a single point.

Currently, I can only cast 1 spell per day, since William can cast 2 times. This must occur due to the bodily development that we have.

William's body is already more developed than mine, so he should be able to handle casting more spells.

However, this training is already being beneficial for us.

One of the fundamentals of mana is that if you deplete it, it will regenerate in greater amounts, so we're already working on that.

The only magic I can do is grow small plants around me and make small spikes of earth grow from the ground and the palm of my hand.

I believe that over time I will be able to have greater control over channeling mana.

I still haven't been able to use Thunder Magic, nor William the Dragon Magic.

Not only that, but I think they require a lot of mana, and we still don't have enough, because the less predominant magic you have, the more mana and more technique are required.

After another month passes, I continue to practice my magic in the backyard.

Winter is finally over, and now I can wear lighter clothes.

The snow has already melted, and the weather is quite pleasant. The spring weather is mild and calm; from time to time, there are passing showers, which do not last long.

I asked my mom to let me and William train in the forest near our house, but she said it's still too dangerous for us.

Training outside the house, William and I try to cast more spells. Our goal initially is to increase our mana; after that, we will try to refine our spells.

"I feel like I can use Dragon Magic." William says as he turns to me.

Does he already have enough mana ? His mana evolved very quickly.

"Are you sure? I don't want to see you faint from lack of mana." I say with concern.

"One hundred percent sure!" He answers me confidently.

"Okay, then give it a try; if something goes wrong, I'll call our parents." I say.

William closes his eyes and begins to concentrate.

Suddenly, part of your cheek takes on a reddish color and a scaly texture.

On its head, you can see a small horn coming out of its head.

William instantly opens his eyes, and they are a different color.

A yellowish amber-like color fills the iris; however, a reddish blood-like color surrounds it, as if they were sharp veins.

Your pupil becomes reptile-like, narrow, and sharp.

A gust of warm wind hits the moment William opens his eyes.

He stands with his eyes open, staring at nothing. And then, he relaxes his eyes and falls back.

I knew this wasn't going to work!

"MOM, WILLIAM FAINTED." I scream.

Hera, almost at the exact moment, leaves the house in a great hurry and with a look of concern.

"What happened!?" She asks.

"I tried to warn him, but he said he could!" I answer.

She takes William in her arms and takes him into the house.

Entering my room, she lays my brother down on his bed, which is next to mine.

William is sweating a lot...

It must probably be the consequence of depleting mana.

After a few hours, I explain in more detail what happened to my mother.

William sleeps all day, but at least his fever is gone.

My dad comes home around 6 p.m., and we watch William intently.

After 2 hours he finally wakes up.

Not understanding what's going on, he looks confused at all of us.

"What happened to me?" He says it in a weak voice.

"You passed out." I answer.

"Oh... So I wasn't ready yet." He says. "But I feel like I have more mana now..." He complements.

"That's normal; mana increases that way, but I would tell you not to risk doing that." Richard speaks.

He's right; fainting every time to increase mana is a bad thing to do. If I wanted to increase mana safely, I would have to do this depletion process gradually.

What William did was deplete the mana all at once until it reached zero, but he doesn't necessarily need to deplete it in full to increase it.

Likewise, the more you deplete mana, the more mana it will regenerate. So the fainting method is dangerous but effective.
