Crazy Fishing!

"First, get a worm." Richard says, and I approach the pot where the little things are.

Bro, this animal is very disgusting...

I try not to think about it too much and pick up a worm by pinching it with my fingers.

The worm struggles and almost manages to escape, but I hold on tight. The texture of this is extremely distressing, it is slimy and rough.

"Ha, ha, ha. Are you disgusted?" He asks me as he approaches.

"This is distressing..."

"Here." Richard hands me the fishing rod with nothing on the hook.

What am I supposed to do?

I hold the fishing rod and don't know what to do...

"Now you put the worm on the hook." My father says.

I hold the hook and let go of the rod. So, I clumsily insert the bait, it even looks like the animal is suffering. Although earthworms shouldn't have a nervous system, I think...

I've heard it said that fish don't feel pain because they don't have a nervous system. If I go by that logic, a fish is much more developed than a worm and even so, it doesn't have a nervous system. So the earthworm shouldn't have one either, I guess.

After placing the bait, I take the bamboo fish rod, and cast the line into the water.

"And how will I know when a fish has taken the bait?" I ask Richard.

"You'll feel like something is pulling on the line. If the fish is carrying the line, you pull with full force!" He explains. "But if you just feel a few light pressures, you just scare him by throwing the wand back." Richard adds.

It seems to be something very simple. That's what I thought.

After spending an entire morning, I literally caught nothing! I didn't even pick up trash...

I even felt something pressing on the line a few times, but it was absolutely nothing.

This is a little frustrating. At least I was talking to my father during that time.

"I think it's time for me to go home." I say a little disappointed, as I was planning on at least catching some fish.

"Don't be discouraged. It's a matter of time." Richard counters.

He looks like one of those motivational coaches.

"Relax. I'll try again someday." When I say this, pressure appears on the fishing rod, making it bend slightly.

Impossible!

"Pull, pull, pull, pull!!" Richard screams desperately!

"Rhaaa!" I lift the fishing rod upwards with all my strength. And, coming out of the water, a small fish is caught by the hook!

I can even hear motivational video music in the background!

The fish I caught is very small, it must be almost a baby. It has the same color as the fish my father caught previously, silver.

"You did it!" Richard quickly approaches and takes the fish off the hook.

After that, I left the rest of the work with my father and returned home. It didn't take me long to find my way back.

When I came back, William asked where I was. I simply told the biggest lie this world had ever seen, and he couldn't believe that I had caught a whale the size of our house in a freshwater river, but he was surprised when I said it for the first time.

And as the days passed, another month had passed, and now I was constantly fishing with Katerine and William in a place nearby where my father fishes.

In fact, I'm the only one who fishes, the other two are messing around.

Another interesting detail is that now I can make cylindrical pots more perfectly.

Before, it seemed like something that would not be accepted in heaven or hell, but now it is getting better.

It's far from perfect like Richard's, but I can at least get the shape right. The only part I'm still having difficulty with is doing the concave part, but it's nothing that intensive training can't solve.
