Saving Her
Emma knocked on the door of Odette's boudoir. After receiving the command from Odette, she pushed the door open. Her other hand held on to a gift box. She entered the room.
She bowed to greet Odette before voicing out, "Lady Odette, you received another gift."
At that, Emma's eyes subconsciously went towards all the gifts Odette had received today. From the table to the floor to the couch, all of it was filled with gift packaging. From the early morning to until now when the sun had set, Odette had been receiving gifts the entire day from one person— Princess Jeanette Erebus.
Although she sent lots of gifts, Odette didn't spare any of them a glance except for one of the letters that came along with the gifts. It elaborated on how Jeanette detested being in her favor, and this was her way of repaying Odette.
Not bothering to read through the entire letter, Odette threw it away before concentrating on the books in her hand.
Odette nodded.
