Second Chance on Life

Four years ago I had lost everything, I lost the reason why I lived and the one that made me happy. But what happens at the moment that that reason why you lived and made you happy from time immemorial appears again in your life without expecting it? I stayed in shock and without understanding anything, because for me that reason no longer existed until I found it four years later.

JESSICA'S POV

10 years later

"Come on Leone, you should have brought Rosi with you." Jesy protested with a pout planted on her face. "And put her in a bad mood? I think it pass." I responded with a laugh, "She wouldn't be mad if you told her she was coming to see me, after all, I'm her favourite aunt." The singer insisted, "You're not, and as I told you Nelson, it's practically impossible to get her out of the studio."

"We could also take her to the studio if that's the problem." She answered, "No, it wouldn't be a problem, the problem would be if she wanted to touch the mixing board." I pointed out "Jesy, Jess is right. We all know they wouldn't let her touch the table." Supported Jade sitting next to Leigh "But she's good at it and we know she wouldn't break it."

"We all know, but you know how the record company is, they wouldn't let her touch the table. She is a ten-year-old girl." This time Perrie responded, "And what does age have to do with it? Once we tell them she's De Luca and Leone's daughter they'll let her do whatever she wants." She assured and I rolled my eyes "They wouldn't, and you know it, it's better, because I really want to go home to see my husband and my daughter. And it's our anniversary, I don't want to miss it."

"You can go, we will go to Italy in a couple of days." Leigh said with a big smile on her face. "Yeah, since you're not bringing Rosi to us, we'll have to go see Rosi." Jesy protested, "Well, good luck getting her out of the studio and out of her headphones." I admitted, laughing, "I'll have it, don't worry." She said, "Well, I'm leaving."

"Are you going to tell them you're going to arrive early?" Perrie asked and my smile widened. "What's better than a surprise?" I asked, grabbing my backpack. "That's the Leone I know. I just hope you don't jump into your husband's pants with little Rosi in front of you." Jesy jokes "I would do it if I knew she wouldn't be there. And I had to made sure Madison wouldn't be there either."

"How is she doing with her album?" Jade asked with a smile on her face "She's doing well. Santi and Carla are helping her with it, and I assure you it's turning out great." I assured "Aren't you helping her?" Jesy asked, raising an eyebrow. "I help her with a couple of lyrics, but not much else. In that field, they're the two who have the most experience." I admitted, "You're good at it too."

"With the lyrics? Maybe, but not with the sounds, at least I don't understand the table. They won't even let me get close to it." I said, laughing as I remembered my daughter and husband's faces the last time, I tried to use one. "Then don't go near this one either, you'll ruin it." Jesy said, putting her body in front of her and trying to cover it. "I won't, don't worry."

"And Mikey?" Leigh-Anne asked. "He arrives in a few days from flight practice." I reported, "I don't believe he joined the Air Force." Perrie murmured, "It doesn't surprise me too much, he always wanted to help people, and that's one way to do it." Jade said with a smile on her face. "Jade is right, he always wanted to help people, and as long as he is happy and comes home in one piece, everything will be fine."

"Aren't you afraid something will happen to him?" Perrie asked, looking at me. "Of course, I have, but I also know he's responsible and he'll come home to his girlfriend." I responded, "You didn't tell me he had a girlfriend. " Jade said with a frown. "I found out miraculously, so don't be so surprised."

"Tell me at least she's good." Leigh asked, "She has the same character as me." I reported "Then She's the best he could have." Jesy responded, laughing, "Believe me, I know, now seriously, I'm leaving." I said, grabbing the suitcase behind the door "Okay, we'll let you know when we get to Italy, I just hope you don't tell little Rosi."

"I won't tell her, don't worry. "She will love you're there." I responded by imagining Rosi's face the moment she saw them enter the house or the studio. "We love you, Jess." The girls said at the same time, "And I say to you girls." I finished collecting my things, gave them a hug and went out to the car to go to the airport and return home to my family.

SANTI'S POV

At this moment we were in the studio, helping Madison record a couple of songs for the album that would be out in a couple of months. Rosi is next to me, and on the other side of her is Carla. If Jess were here, she'd be here too, probably writing a couple songs or just listening to Madison telling us to try another beat or whatever.

Carla had her headphones on and looking at Madison who's in the front room singing the song she had decided to record today. Rosi also next to me looking at the table, because if there's something she loves, it's mixing sounds, something we can't let Jess get close to.

I must say I'm a little distracted, because today is our anniversary. We had been married for ten years, but because the girls needed her for the lyrics of one of their songs, she left three days ago and wouldn't be back until tomorrow morning, and I missed her. "Madi, do you think you can make that note a little higher?" Carla asked the girl "I don't know, but I'll try."

"Take a break first, you can go get something to eat, are you hungry little one?" my best friend asked my daughter, " Yessss ." She said excitedly, "Then go to Aunt Madison for something to eat." With that, Rosi got up from the chair and ran out the door while the two of us took out our headphones and I stood looking at the room where Madison was a couple of seconds ago.

"Didn't you talk to Jessica this morning or what?" Carla asked, turning her chair in my direction. "Yeah" I responded, "So why is that face?" She asked, frowning. "I miss her." I admitted, "Isn't she coming tomorrow morning?" Our best friend questioned, "That has nothing to do with it, it doesn't mean I miss her any less."

"Jess is fine, and the more you think about it, the longer the wait will be." Carla responded, "I know, but I can't help it and you know it." I argued and she laughed, "I know." She replied, "It's only a few more hours, so you better change that face."

At that moment Rosi enters the room and Madison enters the other and we continued recording the song, which probably took us a couple more hours. Surely it would happen to us as always, the four of us were so concentrated that we wouldn't realize until it's too late.

"Madi, the song is great." As soon as we hear that voice, our gaze goes to the place where the microphone is and where I see Jess with a big smile on her face. "Mommy!!!" Our daughter said, jumping out of the chair and running to her mother, who ended up picking her up in her arms. "Hello princess, did you have a good time today?"

"Yes, I was helping daddy with the basic music for Aunt Madison's song." She said excitedly "That's great princess. I think you should rest for today Madi, it's late." Madison nodded and began to gather things while me and Carla turned in the direction where Jessica was with Rosi in her arms. "I thought you were arriving tomorrow." I said a little confused "And I did, but I decided to come earlier, I missed my princess."

"Not me?" Carla asked. "Maybe a little, but more to my daughter and my husband." Jess responded without looking away from me, "Well, there are two of you now, removing the part where you miss Rosi." Our best friend revealed, "I already knew that you didn't need to tell me."

Jess came over and gave me a kiss that lasted less than I would have liked. She ended up sitting in the chair where our daughter was just sitting, and she moves the chair closer to me, allowing me to put an arm over her shoulders. "Have you already started recording your song?" my wife asked Carla, "No, not yet, but the moment she decides she wants to start recording it, I will be there."

"How was the trip?" I asked this time "Good, we're almost done with the song." She responded happily, "Didn't you finish it?" Carla asked, surprised. "No, but it won't take us long to finish it." She said, "Will you have to leave again?" I asked, "I'll tell you later, but no, I won't have to leave again. Now we better go home, because Rosi will soon fall asleep, and we must celebrate our anniversary."

"Do you want me to stay with her tonight?" Carla asked. "Don't worry, dinner will be at home." I informed my best friend, "I'm not saying this for dinner, but for dessert." She said, raising and lowering her eyebrows, "Don't worry, we won't wake her up, we soundproofed the room for a reason." My wife responded with a big smile on her face "Jess!!!!" I exclaimed, "Honey, it's the truth, and there's nothing to be ashamed of, I'm not exactly the type to keep it down."

"Too much information, dear. And also, with your daughter in front." Carla protested, but a quick glance in Rosi's direction made it clear to me she's asleep and hadn't heard anything her mother said. "And a sister who prefers not to know her sister's sex life."

"As if I like hear how you and Megan do it in the laundry room." Jess pointed out with a big smile on her face. "When we do it, we make sure Rosi isn't home." Madison defended herself. "I know, and I really appreciate it, but I don't think I have to hear your moans."

"You hear them because you want to." Madison protested, "Well, I'm telling you the same thing." Jess returned, "If I didn't know you weren't blood sisters, I'd say you were." Carla responded, laughing, "Thank you, we're and proud of that." Madison and my wife responded at the same time, and I couldn't help but laugh, because it's true, if they didn't know they weren't blood sisters, anyone could get confused. After a couple more minutes of talking, we each headed to our homes.

Once at our house, we went to change Rosi and put her in bed. After about half an hour, Jess went to the bedroom and changed, putting on some pyjamas while I sat on the bed watching her. "I hope you don't mind me having dinner in my pyjamas, but I'm really tired of being in jeans." Jessica said with a big smile on her face "Whatever you're comfortable with love."

"I promise you another day I'll make it up to you." She assured, "You don't have to do it, having you here right now is what matters most to me." I responded by approaching her and putting my arms around her waist. "I'll make it up to you, anyway, now let's go downstairs before dinner gets cold."

"Before I go down, I want to tell you something." I said with a smile on my face "What?" My wife asks curiously, "I love you more than anything in this life and it makes me happy to know I'm married to you." I responded and seeing how her smile increased in size, "I love you too, honey."

We kissed and didn't separate until we were out of breath. I really loved this woman and I'm happy that fate brought us together and had her by my side all this time, and if there's one thing that's more than clear to me, it's that I won't lose her again, no matter what it costs me.
