Garrett

I knew contacting the Elder Council on Nova's behave was the right thing to do. Braxton knew it was too. It was something that had to be done. I needed to contact her brother to inform on what is going on. I pic ked up the phone in the study and I called the number that I knew was Easton's and it rang twice before he answered.

E: Hello, this is Easton

G: Hello Easton, it's Garrett Waylon calling.

E: Yes, I have heard of you. Your Alpha Braxton's father.

G: Yes, I am. The reason I am calling is about-

E: I don't really care why you are calling Sir.

G: Easton if you just listen to me for a second you will care.

E: Now, why the hell would I do that.

G: Because it is about your sister Nova, Easton. That's why.

E: Nova? Is she ok? Please tell me she made it to Braxton safe.

G: Yes, Nova is safe, you knew that were mates?

E: See, my sister was underage when your son was here. Be her scent drove his wolf crazy and during the meeting my father offered to help him in exchange for alliance. But your son politely refused. Saying he would find her on his own and fate would help him.

G: What the hell? But she was rejected and banished?

E: Yes, by future beta Jordan who was not her true mate. She told our mom and I over her tell her that the sparks were weak and there was no pull to Jordan. But the marking another wolf and betrayal and some other events caused his wolf to hide.

G: She told my wife and that too. She feels a strong pull and powerful sparks with Braxton, she has told Athena my wife.

E: That's wonderful I am glad. Why won't Nova answer her phone when I call her.

G: She might think it's your father.

E: I didn't think of that. He has been looking for her.

G: Why?

E: To apologize and explain why he did what he did.

G: What was that?

E: To protect her from Jordan, you see Beta Charlie was not going to give his Beta title to him when he and my father had stepped down.

G: Who was he giving it to Easton?

E: It was Nova. Charlie said if she couldn't have her Alpha title then she could be my Beta and we could run the pack together, like she always wanted.

G: Are you willing to tell the elder council that?

E: I already have. They are looking for Nova or someone to go on her behave.

G: Well, you're talking to him. If I have my say, you will both have your Alpha titles, but she is staying here Easton. She loves Braxton.

E: I want her safe and I just need her to give the ok and name a new Beta for me of her choice.

G: I will talk to her. and I will speak with you soon

E: Thank you, Garrett. Talk to you soon.

G: Your welcome.

I hang up the phone from talking with Easton. I have Elder Council meeting on Thursday and its Tuesday. I went up to mine and Athena's bedroom and I packed some clothes and toiletries that I might need for this trip. I don't think I will be gone more than a day or two at least. I knew my mate didn't want me to go, but she knew that I needed to do this for Nova. I came downstairs to the living room to see my wife sitting on the loveseat. She looked upset.

"Athena my love. What is wrong?" I asked.

"Your leaving Garrett? Where are you headed this time?" She asked. She looked worried.

"I am the former alpha Athena; I don't travel anymore. I am going to Sturbridge for the elder Council meeting." I said to her. I looked at her and she just nodded.

"Oh, Garrett I forgot about that. I thought you were traveling for pack business again." She said. I shook my head.

"No dear, I won't be doing that. Worse case I would stand in as alpha for Braxton while he and Sawyer travel." I said.

"Garrett did you make any reservations for when your there?" she asked. I shook my head.

"No, Athena I hadn't yet. I wasn't thinking about that to be honest with you." I said. She shook her head and laughed.

"You will never change Garrett, will you?" she asked. I looked at her with a smile on my face.

"No, probably not." I said.

"I can take care of the reservations for your stay in Sturbridge. Just wish you weren't going alone that's all." She said.

"Thank you, Hun, don't worry I will be fine." I said

"You're Welcome, I know but I will still worry it's my job as your mate and wife." She said.

"Yes, thank you Mother. But he isn't going alone." Sawyer said. While walking over to his mother and father.

"Wait you're going too?" She asked

"Why yes, both Rory and I are going. WE have an appointment with the Elders to get approval for adoption.

"What are you serious Sawyer? Garrett did you know?" Athena asked.

"Yes mother!" Both Rory and Sawyer said

"Yes, I knew Athena." He said.

"We didn't want to say anything in case it will be denied. We didn't want to get ours or anyone hops up yet." Rory said

"Well, the single dad whose mate left him with twins is struggling and is planning in giving his twins up for adoption. But says that if we can't adopt the twins soon then there going to an orphanage, and we can't let that happen mom." Sawyer said

"Boys, you have turned into fine young man and will make great fathers. Go show those Elders that. I will support you either way. Oh, Garrett do what you need to for Nova. I will see all of you in a few days." She said.

"You are by far the mother that I never had, mine died when I was 7. So, I never really knew her. I am so glad that I have Sawyer, you, Garrett, Braxton and now Nova. I am hoping a child will complete mine and Sawyers little family. But if not, I am still happy and I love him and all of you just the same." Rory said as he hugged Athena. Sawyer came and pulled his mate into a hug.

"Rory, I love you so much, even if we don't have a child, we still have a wonderful family. I will forever be grateful for you." Sawyer said and Rory kissed his mate.

"Boys head down to the car; I will be there in a few minutes." I said. They nodded and headed for the car.

"Those two really are in love with one another." Athena said and I smiled at her.

"Yes, dear they are. But I already know what the Elders decision for them is." I said and I looked at my wife. She looked at me concerned.

"They're getting denied, aren't they?" She asked.

"I can't say, it's the boys new to tell. But I have a feeling they will be moving into their own place with the decision." I said. She looked at me with a smiled and just nodded.

"Ok you all just be safe dear, I love you." She said as she hugged and kissed her mate.

"I love you to and we will be back in a few days." I said and I kissed my wife.

I headed to Branxton's office to let him know I was leaving. I wanted to see him before I left. But he wasn't there. I forgot that he and Nova were going somewhere today. So, I just headed out to the car to put my stuff into the trunk. I got into the driver's seat, started the car, and began to drive. I felt like a chauffeur, because both Sawyer and Rory were in the back seat of the car. I just laughed it off. They are happy in love with one another just as Athena and I were back then and still are today. I will say that the fine was rather quiet. It took about five to five and a half hours to get to Sturbridge. Traffic wasn't bad either so that improved our travel some too.

We have to be in the city of Sturbridge, which is where the Werewolf King and Queen. Alpha King Luther Milo Hans and Luna Queen Anna Rose Hans are in change of all of the werewolves all over the world. We are lucky enough to be living just hours away from them. It truly is an honor. They created the Elder Council to enforce all the laws and to make sure that none of the werewolves are breaking them. If they do break them, they are to be punish accordingly.

We finally got to Sturbridge and this city is not small at all. It is all werewolves to. So, that is a plus. I pulled into the Grove-Ridge hotel, it's a lovely place. We have stayed here before for pack business. But that was when Athena and I would travel when I was still the Alpha. I looked at the guys in the back seat who had fallen asleep. I just shook my head.

"Hey Sawyer, Rory, we are here at the hotel. Let's get checked in." I said. They nodded.

"Dad why did you let us sleep the time?" Sawyer asked.

"You were obviously tired and you two have a lot on your mind. I know what I have to do. I have also dealt with the Elder Council before. However, you two haven't. This is a stressful situation for both of you." I said and they nodded.

"Thank you, we really do appreciate all of your support. More than you know." Rory said.

"Dad, we mean it. Without you and mom, pushing me about this, I wouldn't have even requested the paperwork for the process." Sawyer said.

"Come on guys I know Braxton has something to do with his too." I said

"He does, but that's not the point dad. It started with you and mom. Rory and I have been wanting to have a child. But didn't know how to approach the subject. Then you and mom brought in up a few months ago. So, thank you." Sawyer told him.

"Anytime young man. Your both, my sons. Remember that you will always be. I love you both." I said and hugged them both.

"I love you to dad" Sawyer said and smiled.

"I love you to dad" Rory said with a smile.

We walk into the hotel and walk up to the counter. There was this young girl working. She just looked at us and smiled and nodded.

"Hi welcome to the Grove-Ridge Hotel, how can I help you?" she said.

"Yes, my wife called in a reservation. It should be under Garrett Waylon." I said.

"Let me look in the computer and check that out for you sir." She said. We all nodded

"Yes, there is room and two queen size beds. This room has a kitchenette and its own bathroom/shower unit in it as well. Plus, the living room area. As well. Will that work for the three of you sir." She said with a snarl tone.

"Yes, that will be fine and how much is the room?" I said and she handed me the keys.

"Yes, the room is $175 per night, and it looks like it has already been taken care of sir."

"Ok, thank you and Mam." I said

Yes Sir?" she said.

"These two boys are my sons and their mates. I know you're a wolf, I can smell it. No need to be judgmental. Your future mate won't appreciate that.

"well...- "she said but was interrupted by Rory.

"People like you are the reason why people don't want to find their mates. Babe lets go; I don't want to be here anymore." He said.

The three of them headed for the elevator and went up to room 423, which is on the fourth floor. He noticed that both Sawyer and Rory were rather quiet on the elevator. Once they gotten into the hotel room. He looked at the boys as they sat on the couch. Rory just looked pissed.

"Sorry for saying that back there, but people like her make people not want a mate." Rory said.

"I know Hun, there were some people like that in our pack before I met you." Sawyer said.

"What happened to them?" Rory asked.

"I got approval from the Elder Council to have them transferred to another pack for what they were doing to the Alpha's son. Just because he was gay, didn't mean they had to be cruel and cause him bodily harm. The council quickly agreed and personally showed up and removed them and their families. Then some of the family members were given the choice and many of them didn't care of Sawyers sexual orientation. They just saw him as a person and would follow him in the future. Those got to stay, the rest had to leave." I said.

"That day saved my life. My mother heard me telling a close friend of mine, that I wanted to die because of all the bulling at school. She went and told my dad. I am forever grateful for her." Sawyer said.

"So, that's why you are so adamant about going to the council for Nova's benefit? Rory asked.

"Yes, what her father did wasn't right. But he should have told her all the details surrounding it. I just want her to have her title. But when we get back. I need a favor from you two." I said

"What is it?" They both asked.

"Convince her to talk with her brother Easton. He wanted to tell her the truth and she needs to hear it." I said. They looked at each other and nodded their heads at one another.

"We will do our best dad." Sawyer said.

"That's all I ask, but I am going to hit the shower and bed. Our meeting is at 9 a.m. and it is already late."

"Night dad." They said.

"Night boys, don't stay up too late." I said and went to the bedroom.

I got clothes and went and grabbed a shower after I was finished with the shower I got dressed in a pair of shorts and t-shirt. I went back into the bedroom and climbed on the other bed. Since the boys were sitting in the other one. I got into bed and let sleep escape me. I woke up around 7:30 a.m. feeling ok. I missed my mate. I decided to mink-link her.

G: Good morning, Athena, I miss you and I love you.

A: Good morning, Garrett, I miss you. I love you to.

G: I am so sorry that I didn't link you last night, I was having a much-needed heart to heart talk with the boys after the drive. Then I got a shower and no sooner I laid in bed I feel asleep.

A: It is ok Hun, I promise. I have to tell you some good news though.

G: What is that?

A: When you get back Braxton is introducing Nova to the pack and wants to have her Luna ceremony.

G: That's amazing! What happened? That changed.

A: They met each other's wolfs. And they are happy and love one another. Just like we do. So, when you get back its time.

G: Yes, I agree my love. Hey, I got to get ready for this meeting. I will talk with you afterwards. I love you Athena

A: I love you top Garrett, you got this Garrett.

I look at the sleeping boys and just shook my head. There alarm clock has been going off for over twenty minutes. I walk over to the bed, and I shake each of them and they roll over and they open their eyes and look at me.

"Time to get up we have to leave in thirty minutes." I said to Sawyer and Rory.

"Morning dad." They both said. Sawyer got up and went into the bathroom to get a shower and get ready for the meeting

"I really don't want to do this today; I am so nervous and scared." Rory said.

"Hey Rory, you and Sawyer got this. It will all be ok I promise. I have a great feeling about the outcome. I don't know why. I just do." I said

"Thank you." Rory said and they he headed to get a shower and get ready.

We headed out the door of the hotel at 8:20 a.m. and headed to the Council Building. It took about ten minutes to get there. Once we got there, I noticed that we were all a little bit on the nervous side.
