"Master, we got him." A young woman with a sleek high ponytail was talking to a man who leisurely sat on a settee. He wore a black mask covering half of his face, revealing only his attractive and captivating lips. This get-up made him looked like a riddle wrapped up in an enigma. He gave her an approving look, satisfied with the report.

"Where are they now?" He asked, shrugging to relieve the stiffness accumulated in his shoulder. "They are waiting in the basement, Master." The woman answered, her words were precise with no pretense. There was an overwhelming feeling of reverence and admiration in her blue eyes, giving the impression of her unswerving dedication toward the man.

"Let's go." The man rose from the settee radiating his imposing figure with a simple touch on the sleeve of his black suit. The woman nodded as she put on a veil to cover half of her face. On closer look, it also hid the jagged scar on her neck, right under the chin.

At that moment, a woman in a red, tight dress entered the room, swaggering like a model walking on a runway. "Sir, are you leaving?" She asked seductively, biting her red lip and positioned herself closer to him; exposing her curvaceous assets. She had eyed the man the moment she saw him entered the room, the dangerous vibe he gave off awaken the lust in her.

Her manager had warned her not to approach this type of man, especially this particular customer however, her desire to touch him was intensifying with each passing time. She smiled, confident that her seduction would bear fruit. Soon, he would fall to her arms like the other men who were beguiled by her charmed.

"Miss, I advise you to leave this instant." The woman in a ponytail pulled the woman away, afraid that her body would touch the man in a mask. "And you are?" Annoyed, the other woman asked, pulling her arms. "I'm Kristy, my Master's personal assistant." She humbly introduced herself, hoping that her friendly approach would make the woman took her advice seriously. Alas, she was ignored and sneered at.

Shaking her head, Kristy took a quick glance at his master, trying to analyze his expression. She breathed, relieved to see his composed manner. Then, her eyes caught him putting on his usual black gloves. She trembled, a look of pity crossed her eyes.

"Darling, let's have a drink together. My treat!" The woman was hugging the man's hand and slowly moving toward his chest. "I don't drink." He responded, his voice was calm. "Hmm..." Moaning, she pressed her body towards him, inciting his manliness. "You should have listened." The man said, his voice was now cold in anger, colder than an arctic winter.

Then, it happened, the woman was staring at him in pure horror. A sound of bone cracking accompanied by a torturous scream filled the room and next to a setter, a woman weakly slumped on the floor, whimpering in fear. "Please, spare...spare me." She wailed, crawling away from the masked man. "Please." She begged; terror was clearly shown on her teary eyes.

Annoyed, the masked man instructed his personal assistant to take care of the wounded woman. Kristy immediately made a phone call and soon, a stout man rushed into the room, along with him were several men in a blue uniform. He instructed his men to carry the woman out of the room. Before leaving, he repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience caused by his employee, one of the call girls in the club.

"Master, we need to leave." Kristy, who was watching by the side spoke. She shivered as she recalled the sight of the woman's writhing body with part of her bones protruded from her wounded arm. She knew her master's quirk, he hated being touch by a woman. It wasn't a gynephobia but more like he was reserving himself for someone else. It sounded ridiculous but that was the only explanation she could come up with after working for him for years. She hurriedly left seeing that her Master had advanced to an escalator reserved for VIPs.

Soon, they reached an empty basement; not a single car was seen. Kristy smiled, pleased with the discreetness of the Shadow team. A team she had assigned to assassinate a man who had intel on a case they were investigating. "Kristy." The masked man called. Kristy who was in a dazed was startled. "Yes, Master?" She quickly responded. "Your phone's ringing. Knowing from the ringtone, it must be CM." She heard him chuckled. Blushing, she took her phone and answered the call.

Over the phone, she could hear three men were chattering, irritated, she started counting, rushing them to speak. In the end, they only called to ask her the estimated time of their arrival to the headquarter. "Looking at your expression, CM must have called you for something else but forget to ask about you." The masked man laughed, teasing her. "Master Wu!" Kristy blushed again. Her Master was indeed ruthless and 'scary' but she knew he was friendly to those he deemed worthy. In fact, if it wasn't for her master, she would have been dead a long time ago.

"What are they calling for?" Master Wu was casually asking yet, it startled the woman beside her. "They're asking for your ETA, Master," Kristy answered when a thought popped up. She pondered upon it and giggled, "Something must have happened for them to ask such a question." She muttered. "Hmm, we'll see tonight. How about giving them some surprise." Hearing her master's respond, Kristy couldn't help but feel that she had sold her teammates to her master. 'Forgive me.' She uttered the words in guilt. Her pace quickened matching her master's speed.

They approached a group of men assembled at a hidden area in the basement. It was hidden in a sense that two pillars were blocking the view. Upon seeing them, the group of men bowed and greeted them with respect.

"Master Wu, Boss K, the man is in the truck. We tried to pry information from him, but he was a tough nut to crack." A man in a black shirt immediately reported their progress.

"Have you..." Kristy wanted to suggest something else when her master's phone beeped. She knew what the sound meant, she rose her hand, signaling everyone to not move or made a single sound. Her eyes scanned her master's masked face and noticed his darkened demeanor. Even his mask couldn't hide the eclipsed of danger circulated around him. It was an expression that she had seen four years ago. She gasped, trying to calm her mind.

"Headquarter." That one word was enough to send Kristy and the rest of the men to reorganize. She entered the same car as her Master and noticed that the temperature inside the car dropped as time went by. She hurriedly instructed the driver to speed up. At the same time, she tried to contact CM, hoping that they were not doing something stupid and got caught up. Alas, no one picked up the calls. She bit her lip, deep down she prayed that her Master's anger would subside.

Sensing that nothing had changed, Kristy glanced at the man beside her and realized that his gaze was intensely focused on the screen of his phone. She peeked and saw a red icon highlighted on a certain location in the map displayed on the screen. After a prolonged look, she finally recognized the location as one of the passway to their headquarter. Moreover it was the one which her master took a really good care of.

"No wonder! it was that passway." She whispered, gaining a bit of an understanding over the situation.
