9 Aires Military Home

After Va Tong hung up with the king, he trembled in excitement. His wife who was sitting next to him was just as excited as her husband. Va Tong rushed out of the room looking around in search of a servant nearby to command and saw a servant who was doing his nighttime rounds passing by. Va Tong called for the servant who then dashed in Va Tong's direction.

The servant reached in front of Va Tong and bowed. "My Lord, may I help you with anything?"

Va Tong exclaimed while still shaken from inside from the news. "Go... go summon Kao Sheng to come here."

The male servant replied firmly, "Yes sir," and headed towards the direction Kao Sheng's room was at.

Kao Sheng was in her room, doing her nighttime care regime. She was looking at the mirror while combing her hair until the knocks on the door distracted her.

Kao Sheng put the comb down and turned to look at the door. "Who is it?"

"Miss Kao Sheng, your father summoned you to his study."

She heard the voice of a male servant.

Why was she being summoned late at night? She was confused. Her father usually never shared any problems related to work other than a potential partner, but that could wait until the next day.

Kao Sheng replied, "Ok, I'll be there." Curious, she didn't stall time. She got up from her chair, put on an overcoat and rushed to her father's study room.

Upon her arrival, Kao Sheng's heart dropped to see her visibly anxious parents. Could it be bad news about one of her brothers? "Father, you... what is the matter?" She asked nervously.

Her mother, with tears in her eyes, ran to Kao Sheng and grabbed Kao Sheng's hand. "The Prince wants to have dinner with you."

Her mother's words made the blood in her body rise through her head, faster than shooting stars. She felt like her head just got slammed hard to the wall causing her whole mind and body to drown in turbulence. After digesting what her mother said, she thought of having misheard her mother. She asked again to be sure, "Mother... co... could you repeat that?"

Her mother gladly repeated. "The Prince wants to have dinner with you tomorrow."

Hearing the same thing twice, Kao Sheng was momentarily numb. The news was unexpected, pleasantly unexpected. It took her time to let it sink in her system that the prince was actually willing to have dinner with her.

'I... The day I have been waiting for has finally come? I had my heart set on the Prince for a long time, but because I am a female and of a lower rank, I could only love and admire him from afar. Could all my years of yearning for the Prince have finally reached him?'

"I will have your wet nurse get things ready for you tomorrow. You now might have the potential to be the future queen. Always be on your best," Va Tong said sternly to his daughter.

"Yes, father. I will do my utmost best with this opportunity." Kao Sheng had almost tears in her eyes. She was determined to do what her father said.

After Kao Sheng walked out of the study room, she could barely balance herself. She needed to lean onto the wall to stand straight. Her heart was pounding as if she was having a heart attack. The man she had yearned for even in her sleep was finally asking her out for dinner. She was now unable to think straight, but she knew, she had to calm down before tomorrow evening, the night of the dinner.

At the same time, Yu Sha and Su Na just finished their dinner at the cafeteria on the main deck. They had gone exploring outside of the ship and also took a dip in the ocean, so they missed their dinner time. They opted for buffet-style at the main deck cafeteria that seemed to have ready to go food. After filling their stomachs, they went back to their room to shower off the residual sands on their bodies and changed.

While Su Na was putting on her facial cream, Yu Sha darted out to the balcony. She jumped up and stood on top of the fence rail, soaking in the breeze while staring at the big full moon. The night skies looked pretty and the full moon was with glimmering shiny stars as its companions.

The wave surfed layers after layers on the ocean surface like it was in turmoil, contrasting the glittering skies above just like how she was feeling. Her mind felt calm but her heart was restless, making her not at peace with herself. She closed her eyes to meditate, attempting to get rid of any negative blocks that might have disturbed her unconsciously.

At that time, Su Na finished putting on her facial cream. She stood up and walked to close the screen door, but in her right peripheral vision, she saw a part of a glowing silhouette at Yu Sha's balcony. Shocked, she slowly walked out of the balcony to get a full view of the glowing silhouette.

On Yu Sha's balcony fence rail, she saw a glowing person. The being looked like Yu Sha, but the feeling emitting off from the being was of not Yu Sha. There was a slight glowing light surrounding the being as it was in a trance state floating on the fence rail.

Su Na's heart tugged and she was terrified of the supernatural happening in front of her. She yelled with all her might, "YU SHA."

"Yu Sha," Su Na yelled as she ran to the edge of her balcony next to Yu Sha's balcony. Her heart was beating like a drum roll unsure of what to do if her friend mutated in front of her.

Su Na's voice woke Yu Sha from her trance. The glowing aura around Yu Sha disappeared the moment she jolted from Su Na's calls. She looked to her left and saw a traumatizing look on her friend's face.  Confused, she asked, "Huh... Su Na? What's wrong?"

After hearing Yu Sha questioning her like she hadn't got a clue what she just did, Su Na was even more shocked.

What? Why was she acting? Could it be... she didn't know? Was she pretending or was I crazy? Maybe I was being crazy? After some internal struggles, Su Na muttered, "Wha... what are you doing standing up there?"
