Newborn

After my consciousness disappeared, my body came back piece by piece, from head to toe.

I was inside a wall-less and textureless black room it was like my consciousness from the Smartphone but there was no PC in front of me. Instead, there was a big screen in front of me. It's like a theater.

I then heard a baby cry from the distance.

I think the cry is from Necros. The newborn baby the Goddess was talking about.

This baby's body will also be my body so I'll make sure to take care of it.

I approached the baby and calmed him down.

["Shhh."]

I tickled him a bit to calm him down.

Then comes the cutest smile I've ever seen in my life.

It was so cute that I wanted to cuddle him. But I can't because the kid was still a newborn.

The big screen in the front is the body's eyes.

There were two people on the screen. I think both of them are Necros's parents.

His father has brown messy hair and a deep voice but his hair is a little shorter than my dad's hair. His dad had a golden eye with a strange cat-like line in the middle which was unusual. Then his mother has black long hair with black eyes. Her hair goes to her back and has an Ara-ara~ aura too.

I think I'm going to be the one taking care of this kid's consciousness.

I will take care of things like mental support, manners, magic, and swordsmanship when he gets older.

I can also benefit from learning their language, magic, and other kinds and types of swordsmanship.

I need information about different things in this world to teach him all the basic things.

The first few months are the most annoying time of all. I need to prevent him from crying every time he's about to cry because he's really loud when he cries but I don't want to be angry at him because he's just too cute.

The worst thing of all is that everything he does and feels, I feel it too.

The feeling of urine dripping down your pants is the worst. There's another thing but I can't explain the other feeling because of its disgustingness. All I could do is just bear with the disgustingness and the uncomfortableness

His parents were quite good at taking care of kids this may be because Necros is the 3rd child.

When he was 1 year old, I taught his consciousness how to crawl, then after a few months, I taught him how to walk.

"?!"

"?!"

When he started to walk, I was just laughing after seeing the surprised faces of his parents.

I can't understand what they are talking about but I'm sure they're talking about how their son started to walk just after 1 year and 2 months later.

A few days later, his parents decided to start teaching him how to talk.

He didn't start to talk so I was the one who memorized all those words.

They teach using books and picture books.

I would lead his body to the library so that I can learn how to speak and write.

After a few weeks of sneaking into the library, I was able to memorize every single word of their dialect.

And after that, after his parents finish teaching him, I give him extra lessons which are more efficient. I point at things and state what they are called and how to write them.

I also started to study magic and different swordsmanship skills.

Part 2

I started with the most basic of basics in this world's magic. Which are the Basic Spells.

The Basic Spells consist of Basic Fire Spell: Fireball, Basic Water Spell: Water Ball, Basic Earth Spell: Rock Bullet, and Basic Wind Spell: Wind Slash.

I first tried the Basic Water Spell: Water Ball's chant because it's the safest one of the bunch.

I stretched my hand outward and said,

["Water, heed my call and gather! Water Ball!"]

A ball of water then started to float on my hand.

["Ohh~ so this is water ball. Fascinating."]

I moved the water ball around and the water isn't dripping down.

I threw the water ball into the air and the water ball flew like normal water but the water retained its shape and the water isn't dispersing.

I imagined the water disperse in my mind. I aimed my hand at the water ball which is falling in the air and I clenched my fist.

When I clenched my fist, the water ball dispersed and drops of water can be seen on the ground.

Soon after, the water got sucked into the ground.

["?!"

Hah... the consciousness realm really is a mysterious place..."]

Inside the books, there's a thing called mana which is needed to use magic and do spells.

There is also a thing called a Mana Core. A Mana Core has solidified mana located at the stomach. The mana inside the mana core can be replenished by resting but the amount of mana in the mana core is fixed and can never increase once it's solidified.

["Hm... I wonder what mana looks like."]

I closed my eyes and entered the realm of darkness.

I turned around so that it won't see any light from the screen and distract me.

Seconds after I turned around, it felt like I was transferred into another room.

I was in a room with billions of particles of blue light floating around like balloons. There were parts in the room that were not covered by light but it was so few that I could count them. All those spots of uncovered light soon disappeared as time passed.

I tried to suck up all the mana using the method of the Goddess's portal that sent me to this world.

I tried to be a source of gravity and the gravity is pulling all of the mana around me.

And I'm surprised that it worked. All of the mana around me was sucked into my core.

The mana isn't infinite but it replenishes really fast.

If I'm inside the consciousness, I can summon simple things like trees, target circles.

After practicing magic for some time, I created my original versions of the Basic Spells of the Basic Elements but I'll tell you that once I get a chance.

And after 2 years of teaching Necros, he finally learned how to talk and write. So now we can communicate.

["Umm... Mister, who are you?"]

["I am Yuuki Tenshin and we are different souls but were in the same body. The only problem is that only you can move the body. But soon enough, I can have a device that can control your body too."]

["Then may I call you onii-san?"]

["Yeah, that's fine."]

["Then, onii-san, why do you want to control my body?"]

["I am from another world. I was tasked to save the world but to do that, I will need to have a body.

But I got 1 question for you."]

["What is it onii-san?"]

["Would you like to learn magic with me?]

["Of course!"]

["I heard magic is really fun."]

But I heard that it's kind of hard at the same time. You can faint because you will run out of mana."]

["Yes, that is true.

This is only a hypothesis but I think this can work...

If you train your mana, and always drain your mana, your mana capacity can increase.

I think this method is only possible if you're 5 years old and below because if an adult runs out of mana, its mana crystal shatters and it costs it its life. Now let us see which element your soul selects.

First let's try the Basic Water Spell: Water Ball. Try reading the chant in this book."]

["Ok."]

"Water, heed my call and gather! Water Ball!"

Water started to float and slowly goes toward Necros's hand and then disappears shortly after.

["Hahahaha! I did it! I did it!"]

["Wow~. You did it on your first try! Good job!"]

I then gave him a big thumbs up.

["Ok enough talk next up is Basic Earth Magic: Rock Bullet

Try reading this chant."]

["Ok"]

"Break off, group together, solidify, then release! Rock Bullet!"

Pieces of earth separated from the ground and started to come up to Necros's hand.

After it has charged long enough, a piece of rock comes flying through. The target of the rock was the middle of the tree but it has hit the side instead.

["I am fully aware that doing an offense spell is not that easy. It is because it needs accurate precision and control to do rock bullet so I was surprised that you were able to launch it in your first try."]

["Really??"]

["Yeah, most people can't even materialize the rock but you were able to materialize and even launch it on your first try.

Now let us try Basic Wind Spell: Wind Slash

Try this chant."]

["Ok."]

"Gather, sharpen. and fly! Wind Slash!"

The wind compressed into one spot then formed a slash-like shape with a haze-like texture. Then the wind blade was released. When it hit the tree, the wind blade left a dent in the tree looking like a bear mark but with only one claw.

["Maybe the wind is your best affinity... If a normal human with no armor got hit with this, it could definitely leave a deep wound."]

Try Basic Fire Spell: Fireball. It might be your affinity. We'll never know if we never try.

Now, read this chant."]

["Ok"]

"Burn and blaze, Fireball!"

The moment Necros shouted fireball, layers upon layer of fire started to stack. and made a ball of fire. Necros released the fireball to the tree. The tree burned for a long time. and after a few hours, the tree fell.

["Ok, it's decided. You have a big affinity for fire magic. Normal people can't even do the 1st layer of the fireball but you materialized all of the layers and even launched it! You did a really- and I mean really great job on that!"]

["Yay!"], Necros shouted.

Then for 2 years, we trained in magic and swordsmanship. and for 10 years, we trained magic and swordsmanship inside his consciousness...
