Searching For GOD

2067, the World had met its sudden End. All that was left was a group of humans trying to survive the dreadful pandemic that continues to hunt them.

Religious people took to their churches and temples cursing their priests, some said, "Why haven't you told us before, maybe we will be prepared". While some committed suicide in order to escape the pain and suffering.

The age in which Humans blamed each other for their downfall began, Genocides were being reported in every part of the world. It's just a matter of time before earth could no longer support life and will rapidly turn into a red planet.

Luckily, some humans haven't given up. The Jaden Federations started building a huge spaceship with a hull of 10km radius that could support life. In search of a new home and the quest to save humanity from total extinction, eight commoners were to board the Spaceship that had no destination, but in a quest to search the universe for a host planet that could support life and save humanity from extinction.

Only if they knew this mission to save humanity could go a wrong turn that would lead to the biggest discovery in history.

2057: The beginning of the end, as it was being called.

It was a Friday night when an EMP [ electromagnetic pulse] cloud appeared in the sky. This was a phenomenon that had never been seen before, questions that answers could not be given to were asked. In the fifth hour after the EMP cloud appeared, almost 70% of humans complained of a Red eye sickness that left them almost blind.

Hospitals were filled with patients complaining of red-eye sickness, not a single household was spared without one of them having a red-eye sickness.

The Red Eye sickness was declared a pandemic at the tenth hour after the EMP cloud appeared. Nations were thrown into confusion, even the world leaders and presidents were not spared from the Red eye sickness.

The fifteenth hour of the Red eye sickness became massacre and worse. Everybody with the Red eye sickness began to die, leaving only 20% percent of the population of the world. Cities and villages became silent, with nobody to mourn the dead, only a few cries and wails were heard from some survivors. The Race of Humanity is doomed.

The next morning should have been better, but only became worse as the dead began to rise to life as "living dead" with the intentions to feed on the living, they became Zombies.

All that was left were Zombies roaming around on the surface of the Planet, some few people managed to survive while some were unlucky and were caught between the grips of Zombies.

Luckily Jaden Hartman was a sole and a Billionaire survivor, he hid in an underground chamber with some of his accomplices, which totaled 56 people.

Jaden Hatman was 69years old when the pandemic began and was now 79years old. He knew he had not much time left.

"Lui Song". He called out.

Lui Song should have been the next face of human evolution and a living proof that humans once exist even when Humans will be no more. He was personally designed by Jaden Hartman to help with the development of his project and make sure it was a success.

Hartman, a father and a husband, is on a quest to find a new home for Humans, he couldn't just sit in an underground bunker and do nothing and watch Humanity go into extinction.

He remembers the night the pandemic began. It was a Friday evening, Hartman and his wife Jayla were having a nice conversation in a coffee shop when suddenly the EMP cloud appeared in the sky. Everybody began to run for shelter, some people who managed to get outside looking for their loved ones were knocked down by the wind and died instantly, while some sought refuge. Hartman and his wife Jayla could do nothing but hide under a table in the coffee shop.

"The kids!" Jayla exclaimed.

"They will be alright," Hartman said, trying to ease his wife's tension.

The storm lasted for twenty minutes before everything came back to normal.

Hartman and Jayla quickly rushed out of the coffee shop only to find their car missing, probably the storm must have sent the car flying.

They both ran as fast as they could to the third street where they found a Taxi.

"Wollhung Street," Hartman said, bending to strike a conversation with the Taxi man who was busy digging his head in a burger.

"You said what?" The Taxi man asked amidst a huge bite of burger in his mouth which he was trying to quickly gulp down so he could speak clearly.

"Wollhung street!!" Hartman let out in a bit of a furious voice.

"Okay man, you don't have to shout, get in ''. The Taxi man asserted as he swiveled to help open the passenger door lock from the inside.

Jayla became restless as she rapidly stamped her feet on the floor, Hartman could see in her face that she was worried.

"Our Kids!" Jayla let out as she burst into tears. Hartman quickly drew her head closer to his chest as he switched his gaze at the Taxi driver who was still trying to open the passenger door from the inside.

"It's taking forever," Hartman shouted at the Taxi driver.

"Shil man. Get in," The Taxi man said.

Quickly, both Hartman and Jayla get into the Taxi, the taxi driver starts the car engine and heads towards the south direction of the city.

It was a ten minutes drive when the taxi came to a stop at the front of a resort center. Both Hartman and Jayla quickly alighted from the vehicle, Hartman hurriedly dipped his hand in his coat bringing out a bundle of dollars which he handed to the taxi driver. Jayla quickly ran into the building with Hartman behind her.

They both ascend the stairs and badged into their room only to find their kids playing with Lolly.

"Are you kids okay?" Jayla asked as Mabel hastily ran towards her. Jayle quickly picked Mabel up in her arms.

"Mom, there was this thing that shook the ground and the sky also turned blue," Emma said, while walking towards Jayla.

Jayla quickly switched her gaze at Hartman who was standing at her back. Hartman also looked confused, but he knew whatever happened earlier was not natural.

After four hours after the EMP cloud appeared. The family of four sat on a sofa enjoying the Evening show after a nice supper, when suddenly the program was interrupted by a power outage.

"You guys go to sleep, I will go check what happened to the lights," Hartman said as he stood up from the sofa when suddenly he noticed Jayla's eye turned red.

"Honey, are you sick?" He asked while drawing nearer to Jayla to take a closer look.

"What do you mean by that?" Jayla retorted.

"Your eyes! they were red!". Hartman let out.
