Emma Garcia nodded, he did have something to do and left without saying much. Jane escorted him to the car and waved goodbye as it drove away.

Sitting in the car, Emma Garcia could see clearly and exclaimed, "Having a daughter is really nice."

Jane's wrist hurt from waving so much before she finally pulled her hand back and went to her office. Sarah Ford was shouting at a few people who were moving things. Jane stood at the door for a while before Brandon Chen came over, "Did you get your office back?"

She turned around and smiled gratefully at him, "Thank you."

Brandon Chen felt like he hadn't really done anything, "No need to thank me."

The office wasn't completely cleaned up yet, and Brandon Chen received a phone call and had to leave. Jane walked him out and when she returned, Alice Garcia blocked her way, "Jane, why are you still here?"

If she didn't come back, everything would be hers.

But she did come back, and played her hand well, using Brandon Chen to easily take back her office. This was unacceptable.

Jane raised an eyebrow in confusion, "I was born here and don't want to leave. Besides, Starlight was created by my mother and someday she won't be able to manage the company anymore. I need to stay by her side to uphold filial piety and help her."

Alice Garcia was almost exploding with anger.

Starlight belonged to her, and the Garcia family's future would be inherited by her. This was her goal.

How dare Jane try to prevent her success?

Fuming inside, but still smiling on the outside, Alice said, "Although that's what you say, S City is also a sad place for Jane. I won't even mention the rumors online about you, just John alone is enough to make you suffer. Why bother?"

Jane pursed her lips. Alice Garcia accidentally revealed the truth, but no matter how John tortured her, she wouldn't leave until she found her child.

Her previous desk was nowhere to be found, so she decided to buy some furniture from a furniture company. The house she and Jack were living in was originally bought for Aunt Xia's retirement, and after the renovation, the furniture was not complete, so she decided to buy it together.

So she called Brian and asked for a car. Brian said her car was parked in John's underground parking lot, so she had to go there herself. She took a taxi to John's door and walked into the underground parking lot. It was so big that she had to look for her car for a long time before finally finding it and driving to the furniture plaza.

The furniture plaza was particularly large, and she browsed around and picked out some furniture. After she was done, it was already lunchtime, so she went to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

As fate would have it, she saw John while waiting for the elevator.

He was with a group of people, apparently discussing a collaboration.

She wanted to avoid him, but he had already seen her.

With just a glance, she knew what he meant, and reluctantly went over to him. Brian wisely invited the others to take the other elevator.

The elevator door opened with a bang, and John walked in first, with her following behind.

Being in a confined space with John made her feel suffocated. As she was trying to discreetly distance herself from him, the overhead incandescent light suddenly flickered and then went out, and the elevator shook and stopped.

"Ah!" she screamed in fright. Fear took hold of all her senses, and she instinctively hugged John.
