Jane heard a loud noise and immediately stood up.

She saw a tall and graceful figure walking in against the light, and Mrs. Land strode over to her, without a word, ready to slap her in the face.

Last time in the hospital, she didn't check, but this time she was vigilant and immediately dodged.

Mrs. Land missed and her slap was too hard, causing her high heels to stumble and a painful expression to appear on her well-maintained face. She glared at Jane even more fiercely, "How dare you dodge?"

Mrs. Land was very angry, as if Jane had touched a nerve.

With just a look, the two elite-looking men who came with her moved forward to control Jane. Jane dodged left and right, causing chaos in the living room.

Jack, who had just fallen asleep, was awakened by the noise. He opened his eyes to see two big men grabbing his mother. Instinctively, he jumped off the sofa and rushed over to hug one of the men's thighs and bit without hesitation.

The man winced in pain and violently flung Jack's small body away.

With a heavy thud, he made a loud falling sound.

That sound was like a bullet piercing through her heart, causing Jane to stop dodging immediately, "Jack--"

She rushed over, but before she could pick up Jack, her arms were controlled by the two men, one on each side. Mrs. Land, like a queen, came over with her high heels and grabbed Jane's hair, slapping her twice.

Her fair face immediately swelled up.

Jack lay on the ground and cried miserably, shouting for his mother.

Jane's ears were buzzing and her face was burning with pain. But she didn't look down. She looked up at Mrs. Land, who was confronting her with a stern expression, and asked, "Excuse me, Mrs. Land, what did I do to offend you?"

Mrs. Land was so angry that she threw her phone at Jane and scolded her harshly, "You still want to pretend?"

Jane had a foreboding feeling in her heart. She picked up the phone, which was still on, and clicked on it. The page displayed a list of hot topics, with #Jane reveals she has fraternal twins with different fathers# at the top and #A singer's daughter's father is a top-tier tycoon# at second place.

She clicked on the first hot topic, which contained many pictures of Jack's face, as well as Jill's, but they were all back views or side profiles.

"I have no objection to this bastard being exposed, but Jill is a member of John's family. She cannot appear in public," Mrs. Land said firmly, revealing her concern for Jill.

After browsing through the hot topics, Jane looked up and stared firmly at Mrs. Land. "What good does it do for me to reveal this? It's obviously someone deliberately targeting me."

The person who targeted her might even be John. After all, he did it before. What else could he not do now?

Mrs. Land was shrewd and could not fail to see that someone was behind this. She was just using this as an excuse to beat her up because she had never liked her since she was young, or maybe she thought Jane was not good enough for her son John. Before they were married, Mrs. Land had never looked at her straight, and after they got married, she treated her with contempt.

"Even if someone is deliberately targeting you, it's because you're lowly and gave them a chance," Mrs. Land said in a harsh tone, raising her chin. "So tell me, what do you want to do to get a divorce?"

Jane chuckled, her lips cracking and causing pain. But she didn't care at all. "I asked for a divorce a long time ago. It's your son who doesn't agree."

Mrs. Land frowned. She had guessed the reason why Jane was here, and that's why she came here to cause a scene.
