Raylie opened the door.
Surprised to see Vanessa's deep blue eyes staring back at her in terror.
"Just give me the chance to explain."
Hopeful that Raylie wouldn't keep her standing at the doorway in embarrassment.
Raylie's eyes full of hate and anger struck Vanessa sending chills down her spine.
"Explain what? Your actions last night said it all." said Raylie with disgust in her tone.
Raylie had been best friends with Vanessa for almost a year now. How could she not see this coming?
Vanessa was stunning to look at. A short girl with deep blue eyes, long light brown hair down her back, hour glass body and the boys in high school would turn heads to look at her behind. With her voice as sweet as sunshine boys would fall hard for her without even know her.
How could Raylie ever compete?
Raylie was an average Latina girl, golden brown skin with short brown afro curly hair. An islander from Dominican Republic who was just trying to fit in with the rich kids she went to high school with. This was her first year back the United States since the 6th grade.
"I didn't mean what I said!" Vanessa exclaimed in embarrassment.
"It's not what you just said Vanessa." Raylie said in anger.
"You came to my birthday party dressed exactly like me in a slightly shorter skirt.
You seduced my boyfriend in front of all my friends and family. Then call him up to tell him your in love with him?"
Vanessa's struck with panic not knowing if the next words she says might strick her with a slap in the face.
"We use to date!"
Raylie's heart sunk in pain. She didn't know what hurt the most. The betrayal of her perfect movie theater image boyfriend who wasn't so perfect or the betrayal of the best friend who stabbed her in the back.
Trying to rap her head around all of the madness. She stepped forward shutting the door behind her and sat on the porch.
"I'm going to give you a minute to explain this shit to me." She said cold as ice.
