Everything Will Be Fine

Everything will be fine

Jane was in the kitchen when she began to hear multiple knocks on the door.

"Who could that be?" she groaned and headed to the door. Jake was standing in front of her with his right palm on his stomach. Jane was startled when she saw blood flowing down from his stomach.

"Oh my God" she exclaimed, holding him and helping him inside the house.

"Wh-what happened to you?" Jane started.

"I-I don't know what is happening to me, I don't know what has been happening to me" he groaned in pain.

"That's a gunshot"

"Y-yeah I was shot" he continued.

"You think you can take it out?" he added. Jane's phone chimed immediately, it was a message from Amanda 'Deb was attacked at her house, luckily for her, she saved her boys'. Jane looked at Jake after reading the text.

"Uh?"

"Ya, I will, I will try" Jane replied and rushed a cupboard in her room. She grabbed a pair of scissors, a container of mentholated water, a tape, painkiller drugs, a cotton wool and hurried back to him.

She gave him the drugs first with water and pour some water into the wound.

"It's painless" she said while pouring the water into the wound.

"Yea.." he moaned.

"Did you do it?" she asked slowly, trying to pick out the bullet with the scissors.

"Deb's house?"

"Did you do it"

"I-I don't know Jane, I don't know what is happening to me since we came out from the church, urrrg" he groaned painfully as Jane brought out the bullet from his stomach.

"I won't tell no one but you have to control yourself" Jane said.

"You sure you can do that?'

"I will" Jane said and placed his lips on Jake's lips.

Fraser arrived at Amanda's house and ringed the door bell. He was looking too pale and exhausted, wearing a black shirt and a green track trouser. Amanda opened the door and saw Fraser standing in front of her.

"Wanna tell you something" he cleared his throat and said. Amanda shifted besides the door, showing him the way in.

"Are you okay" Amanda asked him after he sat down.

"It's Jake" Fraser said.

"What? What's Jake?"

"The masked murder, it's Jake" Fraser said.

"Why do you say so?" Amanda was surprised.

"That knife, Deborah is right. He took it from my home"

"But you said you were with him till he left, isn't that…"

"I lied, I-I left him in the dinning to see my mother who was in the kitchen, when I came back, he was gone and-and I think he took the knife"

"What the fuck" Amanda was surprised.

"Yean I –I don't know"

"Why are you saying this now?"

"Heard Deb's news, I became scared"

'Are you okay?"

"No I'm not Amanda, I'm not fine at all"

"Look.. we don't have to tell anybody about this, we just need to plan and stop him" she moved closer to him and held his palms with hers.

"Everything is gonna be okay…okay?'

"That's what you said before Jake changed to a murder"

"Whatever, I think we should visit Deb and explain things to her" she said and stood up from the couch she was sitting on.

Amanda and Fraser arrived at Deb's house, she was eating with the kids when they arrived. Tom and Brian looked at them and took their gaze to their mother's face.

"It's alright sweethearts" she rubbed Tom's hair and stood up from the chair she was sitting on, heading towards them.

"What are you doing here?' she asked Amanda, staring at her.

"We heard what happened" she replied slowly. Deb looked at Fraser slowly.

"How are you kid?"

"Am good Deb, how- how are your kids?" he asked, looking at the boys. Deb looked at the kids that were also looking at them.

"They are fine..yeah" she nodded in, putting both palms in trouser pocket.

"Want some coffee?" she offered, heading towards the kids.

"We here to tell ya something" Amanda cleared her voice.

"That Jake is the new murder in Fosterland?" she asked, placing her hands on the table, staring at them.

"Talk to me…huh!" she kept staring at them.

"Okay! Okay fine, I'll ummm, I'll pour the coffee for ya" she stopped talking, and grabbed two cups for coffee.

"With sugar?"

"Deb look…how can we stop him from killing people, how can we…."

"I don't know Amanda, I don't know" he said handing a cup of coffee to her.

"I think it's too late" she added.

"No it's not Deborah, we can still…" the Line on the table ranged out loudly and distracted them. Deb took it up and placed it on her ear. She dropped after five seconds, grabbed the remote and turned on the television.

"Another murder happened this afternoon in Fosterland. A mother and her daughter was stabbed to death by the ghost masked killer who has been terrorizing fosterland since early today. The deceased were confirmed to be South Koreans who has been living in America for seventeen years now, Fosterland city cops has surrendered the building of the….." Amanda slashed the remote from Deb's hand and turned off the television. He threw it away, and looked at Fraser.

"Is that my family?" he asked slowly, tears dripping down his lids.

"What's he talking about?"

"Look Fraser you don't have…..

"No!" he yelled loudly, heading towards the door.

"Fraser wait!" Amanda followed him.

"Fuck" Deb sighed angrily.

The moment he opened the door, the killer was in front of the door. He stabbed Fraser on his fore-head and hit the edge of the knife hardly and it pushed out from the back of his head. Fraser fell down, dead. The killer disappeared immediately before Deb could be out. A loud scream echoed in the street.
