Calm before the Storm
Sharon Wang-Yu's Pov
My sister, well step-sister hasn't been doing great these past few weeks. All she touched was alcohol and nothing more, not even her paper works! She was known for being a workaholic and not an alcoholic. I knocked at her house, she haven't left since the day Yanni Jiejie left her.
"Yan Jie, you should work out again. Shall I bring you a fire extinguisher?" I tried to humor her but it didn't work. I avoid a bunch of bottles of alcohol before getting near her "Yan Jie, Mom and Dad are worried about you, they said you didn't bother picking up their calls" I handed her a glass of water but she only looked at it.
She stared at my offer until I put it down on the table. Yuyan Jiejie tired the shit out of me "Yan Jie, Do you want to go clubbing? My friend bought a new place for them to run" I asked her and leaned back on the couch beside her "but before you go, can you please take a bath?"
She didn't agree.
But I dragged her along, I never leave someone behind! She was all dressed up and fresh to the bones but her face was a little bit... Terrifying.
"Yan Jiejie, can you smile a little bit? Frowning didn't suit you" I cautiously said to her, she only sigh and give her best smile but failed, only showing her force once "Hey Sharon you're here, who'd you bring?" My friend asked me, and give us a glass of cocktail.
"Oh yeah, Vicky this is Yan Jiejie my boss slashes my sister. Yan Jie this is Vicky Wei my friend the one I told you about earlier" My friend seems to be shocked that she visibly composed herself and wipe her hand before offering it to shake with Jiejie "O-oh gosh, Sharon you didn't give me a head start before giving her a cocktail, Hello Miss Yuyan I am Vicky you can call me Weiwei. oh and all your drinks are on me, don't worry about the expenses. It's my gratitude for visiting my business"
I can only laugh at how she nervously introduced herself "Thank you for taking care of my sister" My sister said and shaking her hand, The two of us catches up about the school works over the past week while my sister sat at the VIP area that Vicky offered us "Your sister is intimidating I won't lie" She chuckled at the way she acted earlier.
"Yeah, that's her natural aura. When mom married her dad I was a bit scared but after we had our first dinner I discovered her little secret" I said as I recollect our first interaction. It was after our dinner when I saw her watching at their enormous flat screen, she was smiling genuinely watching some cute kittens and puppies, also have known that she has a girlfriend that she deeply adored.
"Woah, I didn't know you would blackmail her" My friend threw her hands up in the air "No! stop being stupid, she loves cute things, especially her fiance, but she denies it when you confront her about that matter" I got sad when I remembered that they both broke it off. Everything was perfect, and I just happened so fast "Well, I won't keep you any longer. Please tell her to enjoy" She then waved goodbye to entertain her other guests.
"Yan Jie, do you want me to call Xi Ai Jiejie to accompany you?" She was hesitant at first but nodded in the end so I rang up Xi Ai Jiejie together with Diamond Jiejie. I know both of them were closed because of some business. When I finished the call Yuyan Jiejie is nowhere to be found in our VIP room. I looked around the hallway but there is no sign of her, she was just drinking "fuck" I grumbled.
I went to the dancefloor and look around. Thank goodness this isn't just a normal club that has many sweaty men dancing around grinding their crouch and making out in the corner. I squeeze myself to look for her but with a small body like mine it was hard, some of them are rather tall. "Ouch- Sorry," I said to someone I bump into "No, It's Okay It's hype up here. I won't blame you" When I looked at her she was a stunning petite girl.
"I- uh, My name is Sharon, Do I know you? You looked familiar" I asked her and offer my hands for her to shake. I don't know if it's just the vibe of the club or it is just me but when she is talking the noise seems to fade and the crowd seems to disappear "Actually yeah, I supply flowers at the company you are working. I think you are the new intern right?" She flashed me her smile and I think my knee almost give in.
"Yeah, I'm glad you know me, well not that know-know but the remember-know" I just want to be buried alive here "haha, yeah, I adored the YY inc for many years now, your boss always drops by with her fiance to get fresh flowers there" Oh shit, I almost forgot about my big sis! "Well, It's nice knowing you. I'll drop by at the shop sometimes, I'll get going now" I bowed at her and continue my journey to look for Yan Jie. When I saw a glimpse of her she was surrounded by girls and guys that are maybe younger than her.
"Excuse me but I'll be needing her" I threw my attitude at them "and why would a midget need my girlfriend?" A tall sophomore at my campus said to me, I scoff at her. Who do you think she's calling girlfriend she won't even reach my sister's standard "with that face of yours, you won't even reach MY SISTER'S lowest standard, Now, stop clinging to her arms like a monkey you are or her Fiance will kill you without hesitation" I said to her and before leaving I said my opinion to her "If you stand beside my sister's fiance, your face would be compared with her shoes, move away" I said and bump her shoulder.
Gosh, that was nerve-wracking, and here's my sister being wasted. How many glasses did she drink? "Good job baby girl, Your Yanni Jiejie would be proud of you" Yuyan Jiejie ruffled my hair which made me giggle, even in her drunken state she still thinks of Yanni Jiejie, I sigh when we got inside the room. Seconds later, the two of her friend got here, Yuyan Jiejie is still stubborn about drinking more alcohol "Sharon, Let's go drive her home. You know her house right?" They asked me and I nodded. Diamond Jiejie drives while Xi Ai is in the passenger seat, I am here in the backseat with Yan Jie assisting her to sit up straight.
"Get yourself together Yan Jiejie, We are here," I said to her struggling to balance our steps, when we got inside that was the time we totally collapse because of the mountain of trash at her door "I'm sorry for the mess Jiejie, I'll clean it up tomorrow," I said to the other two who is giggling at us, they help me put Yan Jiejie to her bed and cleaned up the place.
"All done!" They said and stretched their back, we finished cleaning the house, and it is now spotless "Thank you Jiejie, Do you guys want to eat before leaving?" I asked them, it would be rude if I didn't pay them back "Don't worry Sharon, We'll head home first, Tell YuYan whatever the problem she can talk to me" Xi Ai Jiejie said, and patted my head, They sent themself out and before the door closes Xi Ai reminded me.
"Tell Yuyan to calm down, and attend her meetings," She said, I sigh again. I want to know what happened to Yan Jiejie now. I flopped myself onto the couch as I analyze everything.
First Yuyan and Yanni Jiejie are okay, the next day Yanni Jie introduced the models, and then shit happened... And then what? What happened there? Did I miss some context?
After the fight, Yanni Jiejie disappeared and just like Yuyan she stopped advertising and handling the clothing line but the models are still working. Do they know what happened to them? I'm sure they are somehow friends with one of my Jiejies. Xi Ai and Diamond don't seem to know what happened too. I gave up the analysis and scrolled through my socials to look at the girl I saw earlier, I forgot to ask her name...
But she looks so beautiful, a real living doll. I wonder if she's single, how old is she though?
Argh! I also need to calm down, I showered and sleep in the guest room.

Dai Yanni's Pov
I wonder what is up with the company, I haven't heard of them since I got laid down. Was I missing my old routine? But what can I do? I think I have ruined everything I built,, everything matters to me even her, Yuyan. She is my everything.
But I just can't let her do that to me. I need to be though
