Days of peace? Part 2

Derick quickly jumps over the wall to the boys, and with a sign tells them all to be quiet, and they start to leave in silence. 

They're already walking towards the square. Theo says: 

"Whew, what a strange feeling, it looks like we're going to get caught, there weren't that many of them, were there Kenji?" 

"Yes, I'm glad we didn't get caught this time, but what were they saying, Luan, could you hear them?" 

Luan is still trying to listen to what's on the recorder, but shakes his head saying no, he did hear something, but he thinks it's better to keep it and analyze it later, then tell the boys, he doesn't want to scare them. 

Meanwhile, Theo and Kenji stare at Luan and Derick fighting when they get to the square, and talk in hushed tones as they sip their sodas: 

 "How can they stand each other?" 

"I don't know, they eat together, they live next door to each other, they spend practically the whole day together..." 

"And not kill each other yet?" 

 Then, out of nowhere, Luan says: 

-Wow, I've just had a brilliant idea for Friday's show!!! 

 Then Kenji asks: 

"Good, and how are we going to attract the public, Luan?" 

 Derick is on his back getting a soft drink from the machine in the square, 

 And a fox face appears on Luan's face, he smiles and points to Derick's back. 

"There's the answer Kenji, let's use his image on Friday, since the girls think he's cute, cute, bla bla.... 

 Luan then becomes pensive: 

(Soon I'll collect the money I owe you, Mr. Loan shark hihi) 

 Theo adds. 

"You've come up with a good idea, Luan, and we can use Kenji too!" 

Kenji goes over to Derick and picks up a potato. 

"Do you feel like you're being watched? 

"Hm, yes, there are two fools back there talking a lot of nonsense and laughing, probably planning something." 

"What are they up to this time?" 

"Hm...us using them for something...as usual..." 

"That must be it, but at least today Luan seems normal again, he was strange, and there's no point in saying it's all in my head, Luan wasn't even talking, he talks all day long.... it's not normal for him to be quiet Derick." 

"It was so good for him to be quiet...it gives you an inner peace..." 

 Kenji laughs and tells them that he has to go home, he has to study. His father is already calling and Theo is accompanying him. They agree to meet early at the school gate to decide what they're going to do about Tommy's cell phone. 

Derick and Luan also have to go home. On the way, Luan walks quietly, as if he's thinking about something. 

Derick stops, Luan stops too... and the telepathy begins again in the language of facial expressions... 

L "What?" 

D "What's wrong?" 

D "Why did it stop out of the blue? 

L "Nothing" 

D-"Can we go home soon then?" 

 Luan then says aloud: 

"I want to go to the bathroom..." 

And he puts his hand on his stomach to indicate that he has a stomach ache... 

"Get the hell out of here... go on then Luan." 

 Luan runs off and Derick walks slowly, enjoying the silence that he hasn't been able to stay in for hours. 

Justin drives past him, strangely sees him alone and calls out to him. 

"Son, are you alone?" 

"Uh..." 

"Where's Luan?" 

"He's doing what he always does, but this time he's doing it literally...""Hm bathroom, got it, then get in the car, I'm taking you for your last driving lesson, only with me today, you're driving..." 

"Hm, ok, since you insist." 

Justin turns off the car, opens the door, turns around and sits in the passenger seat, Derick sits in the driver's seat, starts the car again, does the whole process he was learning in class, and they go for a drive. Derick is just waiting for his driver's license to arrive. 

 Justin, meanwhile, sends a message to Luan: 

"I need your help on Friday, to deliver Derick's present remember? After the performance in the square...is that OK?" 

 Luan replies after a few minutes: 

"Sure uncle, don't worry, I'll deliver it!" 

 As soon as Luan gets home, he sits on the sofa with his cat Mr. Fluffy and listens to the audio of the recording, he gets some information, but prefers to hide it from his friends. 

"Damn it, I need to think about how I'm going to get out of this alone, without putting them in the middle of it." 

He then thinks of an excuse to give his friends. 

The morning dawns and Luan wakes up with a sensitivity in his ears, absolutely every sound seems to be loud, he sees his cat eating and in his head only comes the noise: 

"crack, crack, crack" 

 "Damn, why does that sound so obnoxiously loud?" 

 Luan and Derick arrive at the school and Theo and Kenji are already waiting at the school gate, they spot the two of them, greet them and sit down near the school entrance, Luan puts on part of the audio he recorded, but only part, the rest he hides, it just sounds like the noise of people fighting, like a dispute between the gang, Derick looks suspiciously at Luan and asks: 

"Is that it, Luan?" 

 Luan nods his head and says: 

"Yeah, the audio is all about fighting." 

 Luan puts an earphone in his ears, as he's still very sensitive to the sounds, it's all very noisy inside the classroom, so as soon as the break bell rings he goes up to the Terrace, and tries to concentrate on finding out which part of the audio is Tommy talking to someone again: 

 "Tommy, the boss is going to be a bit late, but I'll give you a heads up. Friday we're going to have a break, but we still need to confirm who's going to be there and who we're actually going to pick up, let your friends know and we'll send a message confirming the time." 

"Okay, I'll let them know, but don't send a message too late, otherwise you won't get paid, understand?" 

"Come on, man, he'll text you tomorrow, relax!" 

"Okay, we'll wait." 

 Luan tries to figure it out on his own, but he remembers that Tommy's cell phone has been cloned, and Derick has the secondary phone in question, so Derick has probably already seen some kind of message. And he probably hasn't told him either. 

Luan then thinks out loud: 

"I need to get that other cell phone from him!" 

 When someone comes up to him and says: 

"So you want to take my cell phone, Luan?" 

Luan jumps in fright and looks desperately to see who it is. 

It's Derick, and he takes the cell phone out of his pocket and says: 

"Try taking it from me, then." 

Derick stares at Luan's face as he thinks: 

(Did you really think you were going to leave me out, you fox? I've already seen a lot of messages). 

Luan makes a frustrated face, after all he's hardly going to be able to get anything from Derick. 

" Dammit, I can't even hide anything from you." 

"I don't even know why you're trying to hide it, it's a waste of time." 

"Whatever, so who is this person they're after? Did you get the message?" 

"They did, but they didn't give a name." 

"Damn, so much suspense, then we won't even find out who the person they want is." 

"No, but I have a hunch who it is." 

"Who?" 

 Beeeee (the end of the break bell rings) 

 Luan then puts his hand to his ear, it sounds very, very loud so he can't hear what Derick is saying. 

....
