I slowly peeled my eyes open and met the canopy curtains of the bed. I blinked and rubbed my eyes, trying to recall what happened.

"You're awake..."

I fluttered my eyes as I looked beside me. A worried expression of Sylvester was the one I saw. I lowered down my gaze seeing he was caging my hand in between his.

"Hey..." My mouth felt parched.

Sylvester helped me to grab some water after that. He also helped me to get up from the bed.

"What happened to me?" I mindlessly put my hand over my stomach. "I recalled I experienced an excruciating pain in my stomach..." I looked up at him. "And I don't know what will happen next."

He just stared at me and didn't say anything. I was confused by that.

"Sylvester?" I tilted my head in bewilderment.

Doctor Heinze came in before Sylvester could open his mouth. "Alpha, Lady Anais," he greeted us with a nod. "I have been summoned by Alpha Sylvester to tell you your situation."
