Chapter 20: Friend
"Eh?" That was all I could say from his dramatic words. I couldn't even fathom the idea that I would even witness this protruding sadness that he has on his expression.
"Now you forgot our deal. It all happened yesterday. I am going to sulk." He sniffed.
"Oh, please." I rolled my eyes. This duke was going insane again. "You don't easily sulk like that, Sylvester." I shook my head and set the box covered with cloth to the table. I just uttered his name so he would stop blabbering.
Knowing Sylvester, he knew how to annoy me with his childish whims.
He chuckled. "As expected, I cannot just joke around with you."
"What brings you here? And how did you sneak out here, Sylvester?" I wondered.
"I have my ways."
"Ways like what?" I arched my eyebrow.
"Just grab your meal. It's a shame if you eat it cold. Eat it while it is still warm." He returned from laying in bed.
