After Tian Bujue left, Hua Yan sat by the window, quietly looking out at the flickering lights outside.
When Qiuyue pushed the door open and came in, she saw Hua Yan sitting motionless, her gaze calm and undisturbed, entirely peaceful as she looked through the gauze window at the night, lost in her thoughts.
She walked over to her side and softly called, "Miss?"
Hua Yan hummed in response, slowly turning her head to look at Qiuyue.
Qiuyue put her arms around her shoulders, "You will be alright for sure, Master, Young Master, and I, we will all find a way."
Hua Yan smiled faintly, patting her hand, "Even if we can't find a way, it's alright. In this life, I have lived well for myself. Those years, with you by my side, we wandered everywhere, played what needed to be played, ate what was good, and set foot on famous mountains and great rivers. If there comes a time when I fall into a sleep from which I won't wake, it would not have been a life in vain."
