Scars To A Playgirl

...Invincible yet broken, she played a dangerous game... Tiana Almirez is an illegitimate child born into a rich family. She is a smart girl with a case of low self esteem. Or at least she was. After she forms an unlikely relationship with a third generation heir from her school, who is every bit fun and screams 'trouble', that timid girl is transformed into a confident and strong playgirl. Unknown to most people, Tiana actually lives a double lifestyle. To others, she's an invincible girl with a perfect life but alone, behind closed doors, she's nothing more than a broken and damaged girl struggling with her failing mental health. Lucas Williams is a teenager who has dealt with his fair share of mental health issues. When he is transferred to a new school, he can't help but immediately notice the popular girl whose eyes were so desperately screaming the very thing he had wanted the people around him to hear when he was at his lowest, 'Save Me!' What happens when Lucas feels the need to help this girl? Will she appreciate his help? Or will she hate him for it? What can Tiana do when the new boy at school suddenly threatens to tear down her perfect mask? Will she be able to keep her facade going? Or will she find herself falling in love with the very boy she regarded her archenemy?

Lucas' POV

I was stunned when I heard the teacher call out Tiana and I as partners for the class project. Apparently, I wasn't the only one as the class began to murmur, shifting their gazes between Tiana and I. I didn't know what to think. Why would the teacher place us together? Surely, she hadn't forgotten the confrontation Tiana and I had in her last class, which led to the rumors, and ultimately the reason why the entire class was now murmuring about us being partners. I half expected Tiana's hand to to shoot up, asking for a change of partner though I wish she wouldn't. Being the jewel of the school and all that probably wouldn't be too hard but Tiana did nothing of the sort. She just sat calmly as if she wasn't bothered at all by the fact that we were now going to be project partners. My heart warmed a bit at the thought.
