Chapter 12
Meanwhile on the battlefield of peril, Andrew24, Freezie and Icey were all preparing for a duel against Africa, Katie and Cece all at once. "This is the end for the Resistance, and three prisoners cannot defeat us alone!" Icey said. "Pain will take over all three of you!" Freezie said. "DCP will be fallen, so don't waste your time now!" Andrew said at last. So there they went, down inside of the fortress of the Redemption Empire Fortress, where they rushed down on a platform, chasing the IW trio attacking with three wasp robots, while avoiding giant spinning gears and cogs.
Running close up, Cece grappled to Icey's and attacked the head, leaving a mark of her footprint from her heavy-duty combat boots. Africa and Katie followed as well, attacking Icey until the head was ripped from its wiring and exposed the wireframe, causing Icey to lose control and crash into one of the spinning cogs. One down, two more to go. "I'm not about to watch my empire crumble to these friends." Freezie growled as he and Andrew24's wasp robots shot lasers directly from its eye sockets, but missed.
Cece finally grappled onto Andrew24 and attacked it. Africa and Katie followed suit and began using their Burst Wispons to shoot flames directly at the machines. It did crucial damage to them. "How are they beating us!? First that illusion was made by Blackheart and now the real me is under attack, for the second time! Give us a break!" Freezie exclaimed as Andrew24's robot was destroyed. Now all there was left standing was Freezie, and he had tougher attacks ready at his disposal.
He boosted away down between the cogs and gears standing upon them until they ended up reaching the power source of the three Phantom Ruby prototypes, being used as energy for the final version. The trio decided to start damaging the power source while fighting off Freezie. But that's not all the time they had for. The lab was similar to Radkon's with the same stasis tubes and the terminal that depicted a pixelated shot of Blackheart. That was when Freezie was nowhere to be seen when the roof of the mysterious lab suddenly ripped right off and there was Freezie in a life size Death Iceball Robot.
"What the? I thought we destroyed them all!" Katie exclaimed from the sight. "If my goons can't destroy you, I'll finish the job myself!" Freezie said in anger and began smashing the entire lab and stomped around, hoping to destroy the bothersome of three. Little did he know that he ended up destroying the prototypes of the Phantom Ruby which set off traps of lasers that sliced through the giant legs of the robot.
Katie, Africa and Cece both ran out of the lab as giant explosions popped around Freezie's creation, causing him to collapse behind on the research lab, destroying everything Radkon worked hard for in the past months. "Freezie, what have you done!? Grr, I should've never hired you!" Radkon exclaimed in frustration after seeing the ashes of his hard work. Somewhere back to where Zay was, he found Blackheart floating around, fighting the Resistance down. That's when Zay jumped up and successfully performed a Homing Attack from behind, knocking down Blackheart. "You're not getting away! I have one last word to have with you," Zay said in the tone of expecting a fight. "So, you've finally come to finish this off, huh? Let me show why your Resistance will always lose to me!" Blackheart said in vain before flying away.
"You take care of him, Radkon's signal is moving underground. He's up to something," Shadow said. Zay began boosting behind when the giant snake back from the jungle way back in Luminous Forest appeared again. "Looks like you're keeping pets hostage, like you're the Snake King, huh? Won't matter when they survive in a new home." Zay joked as he ran around the coils of the snake again like last time. Blackheart launched an attack of T-shapes that spun made from the deadly magentaish-red cubes. Zay simply slid directly underneath the attacks and zoomed on around the coils. Blackheart attempted charging towards Zay, but this only allowed him to be attacked by a Homing Attack. This caused his anger to exceed limits and called in Freezie once again, on his damaged Ice Queen Bee machine.
"I will never fall, Zay! I hope you're ready for round 2 of me," Freezie teased our hero as he dashed on directly to Blackheart, as he was about to perform an energy blast, causing Zay to maneuver out of the way and hit Freezie instead. "Sorry, my bad." Blackheart said for a quick second before focusing back to his battle. Freezie was still standing and shot lasers on the coils, upsetting the snake and caused him to enter a state of emotional distress. He attempted to devour Zay multiple times but was tied up in his own tail, and impacted Blackheart. "Foolish jackal. This snake will not help you win. Freezie, after him!" Blackheart ordered Freezie, as he boosted with the stinger pointing out to Zay but he impacted the machine first and knocked Freezie back.
Zay managed to climb on and pushed Freezie over to take control and use the machine to attack Blackheart. Little did he know that he was climbing his way back up to our hero to strike again. Zay controlled the bee to attack Blackheart with the lasers, doing significant damage when Freezie climbed on the punch Zay from behind. Our hero blocked the attack and performed a front snap kick back, knocking off Freezie for good, defeating the villain. That was when Blackheart reached a dead end of the long road they'd been pursuing on and turned around to see the machine close to crashing, and he was too late to perform a defense.
As the machine blew up, there stood Blackheart not so strong as before and struggled to see straight until he fell forward and tried to get up. "It's impossible to defeat me! You were supposed to wield to my power, not destroy it." Blackheart said, as a cryptic aura came from the Phantom Ruby. Blackheart's voice fainted more until it was nothing but a whisper in the wind, and the Phantom Ruby detached and went straight out of existence and Blackheart then fell with one last isolated groan of pain, and life was drained out. Zay called one of the communicators on his wristband and said, "Blackheart is no more. But wait, what about the power source?" He asked in confusion. That was when Cece, the fearless prisoner from the Death Iceball replied back. "I believe a trio with the bonds of friendship handled that."
Zay was shocked to hear the news that three prisoners had united together to take down three of Ice Warriors' soldiers. Even if they were main leaders or advisors. "But here's the bad news," Shadow entered the chat. "Radkon's signal is moving underground and the Phantom Ruby is still here, even without the power source. It could be powering up a dangerous creation. If so, this won't be your garden-variety showdown." This confused Zay and he decided to go back to where everyone was fighting. But this time, the replicas from the Phantom Ruby weren't there anymore. In fact, everyone was...cheering. Did they just end the endless war? Or perhaps it was...a publicity stunt to get everyone's attention and trap them. "Hate to say it early, but the Redemption Force is officially defeated!"
Zay said to the rookie, as they were about to do a fist bump when the ground rumbled underneath them. "Can't this war be over by now!?" Marie asked in confusion. That was when Radkon's ultimate creation appeared. It was a large alien-like robot that had four tentacles swinging around behind with three claws. The top of the "head" was a laser cannon with two metal horns that opened up like an eye. Red LED lights flashed on the joints of the arms with a red bright wireframe. The grey mech floated with a large tail, similar to the Redemption Dragoon, but was crystalline with pointy metal.
"You actually believed the Phantom Ruby was there!? Ha! That decoy has helped me surpass Blackheart's power and now everything will fall apart like it should." Radkon said on its loudspeaker as Shadow zoomed over to the robot now called the Mega Redemption Dragoon, a modified version of the mech but with no six-barrel cannon. Shadow found himself on a platform of purple blocks as the robot flew up in front of the platform, when Mustapha figured out what Radkon had been planning. "His plan's insane! He's overclocking the Phantom Ruby to where no regular tool can damage it now. Either way, keep firing your Wispons!" Mustapha called on the communicator.
"Sorry, Shadow. We tried all we could." That was when the Mega Redemption Dragoon opened fire with the laser, which Shadow jumped over and boosted up to perform a Homing Attack. He hit the robot 4 times before it launched rocks up above, in which Shadow deflected back, breaking the shield of the robot, causing it to fall onto the ground where the resistance continued shooting their Wispons and it was now the Rookie's turn to attack. "Go on, rookie! I knew you could do it," the real 32op shouted out.
The robot continued floating and with its tri-clawed hands, began shooting mini rockets while bringing in more Redemption Force soldiers. The robot then slammed its fist down onto the platform, as the Resistance shot the core and fist, doing significant damage. As the Rookie grappled onto the core and slammed into it, the Mega Redemption Dragoon knocked back and slammed down on the platform, breaking it in pieces. Everyone managed to step back quickly and the Rookie grappled onto the core once again to hit it. Another impact as it shot a deadly laser among the Resistance.
However, Shadow managed to drop in and slammed his shield down as it transformed and expanded, blocking the laser attack from a few resistance members. The resistance kept shooting their Wispons and at that point, the core of the Mega Redemption Dragoon blew up and therefore, the robot's tentacles and arms lowered and floated there in the sky when a mysterious beating sound came from above the core, when a white three-headed spider mech broke out and landed on the platform, shocking the resistance.
It roared with deafening might as all the power they had broke out. The spider stomped around, destroying the soldier's defenses. That was when an unbelievable sight dropped in on the attack: Absence and Meer! They were climbing on left and right, bashing the robot with psychokinesis and whatever weapons they could find to attack it. The ending of this war was coming soon, or was if a deadly spirit from the planet's core didn't ruin the rejoice.
