Chapter 1

Today I'll move in to my new school. Tsk... if only I could just stay here and enjoy my life I would be so happy. But I know that's not possible, after all there's a responsibility waiting for me.

After getting ready I walked downstairs heading to the kitchen and saw my dear nanny there. She's been with me since I was a child. And I call her Mmy short for mommy.

"Oh Wither come and eat. Your cousins will be here soon" she said as I walk to the table.

Right after I ate my breakfast we heard the doorbell ringing. "That must be your cousins already" my nanny immediately walked to the door to open it for my cousins.

Not long after I saw my two cousins, Vhon, with his older brother Nicho. He's 10 years older from me and Vhon.

Both of them are wearing a simple jeans and a t-shirt. Vhon's t-shirt is color black while Nicho's color green. Vhon also has a jacket on top of his shirt. Both of them wearing an expensive rubber shoes

"You ready? We still have quite a long way to go" Nicho asked me in which I just nodded. All of us then walked near the stairs where my luggage is. The two boys quickly picked them up, 2 luggages to Nicho and 1 bag to Vhon.

"What the- what's inside this bag?!" Vhon immediately complained as he carry the bag. I looked at him and said "That's just my laptops, speakers, headsets, my gadgets and things for digital music" I lied, that bag actually has a quite heavy foldable table...

"How about that?" he pointed at the two bags Nicho is already carrying.

"Same and the other one has my clothes"

"Your gadgets are really your priority more than your clothes huh?" he said as I shrugged at him. What can I do? Music is my life.

I walked to my dear nanny and gave her a black card. "Mmy you can use this while I'm gone. I already put money in it. Spend all you want it's okay. That card's already in your name."

"Oh Wither no I can't accept this" she was about to return it to me when I held her hand and kept the card there.

"Please accept it Mmy that's for you and the kids. Just think of it as your salary while I'm not here. Also here's the whistle, you can use it to call Alessandra if there's a problem. She'll be the one to tell me if ever you were in danger. Please always bring this with you. This is very important, okay?" I could see that she's clearly hesitating to get the things from me so I quickly let go of her hand and ran to the car.

"Tell Moon and Light to take their studies seriously or else I'll be kicking their ass off when I come back!!" I shouted and quickly sat on the back seat of the car.

Moon and Light are Mmy's orphans together with Len-len and more kids. Mmy always adopts kids from the streets. Moon and Light are the first kids she adopted while they're babies. She found Light near the market dumpster and immediately took care of her. After I think 4 weeks? She went home with baby Moon in her arms from the mall. Mmy's the one who named them Moon and Light such a weird names but I find it cute. Nicho already fixed their papers and put Mmy as Moon's guardian and Nicho himself as Light's guardian.

She found them when I was 6 years old and I really don't mind them. They live with Mmy in her house and sometimes visits the mansion to help her with all the chores. We have maids but they always like to help Mmy and I don't mind that. We talk sometimes and play but yeah that's all.

It's such a shame to witness how the kids Mmy adopts grow in number. It only means many kids are abandoned by their parents. Such irresponsible people....

Alessandra on the other hand is my dear bird. She's a beauty I swear... She can shape shift and can copy the power and/or ability of the animal that she changes into. My father gave her when I was 6 years old, exactly before he dies...

After the two boys fixed my luggage inside the car we immediately left. I even heard Mmy shout goodbye and take care to us.

"What's the name of my new school again?" I asked the Nicho.

"It's Scarlet University" hmm... the university name is quite different I must say.

I was just sitting in the park when a group of men approach me. I was alone because Nicho bought an ice cream for me. "Hey girl, are you alone? Come with us, let's play a bit" one of them said. He looks like the leader.

"No I'm with my cousin and I'm too old to play" I said blankly and stood up about to leave. I know what they want. And I know I'll never give it to them. I can defend myself, 6 years of being an underground street fighter taught me so.

"Aaaww why not? We saw you with Nicholai Spring Verrone. You must be important to him. He'll give us anything we want if we have you"

I stopped in my walking. They know Nicho, they must know something more.

"Why? Surprised? I know you Wither Rose Verrone or should I call you Rose?"

I immediately faced him hearing what he said. No one calls me by that name except my father.

"You know what? I also know more. I know why your father was killed...." I clenched my fist at what he said trying to control myself. I could kill him right here right now. No one's also around except us. Nicho and I chose a place that has a few people so that we could find peace. Guess we didn't find it.

"He was killed because he's weak and he's stupid..." the man smirked satisfied as he saw me lower my gaze to my shoes.

"He was killed because he can't defea-"

"STOP!" I cut his words and looked at him. I then saw him gulp and took a step back, his underlings started shaking.

I smirked seeing their reactions.

Damn I feel strong, I feel energized and most especially I feel excited. Like I could crush this whole park within seconds. I love this feeling...

I walked slowly to the leader and flames suddenly surrounded him.

Woah....

"W-what are you doing?! You h-have guns so s-shoot her!!" he ordered his underlings.

"B-but sir-" aaand his men suddenly ran away in fear.

"C-cowards!" the man in front of me shouted to them. He looked at me and suddenly he can't breathe.

"No one can call me by my second name aside from my father. And you have no right to insult him like what you did" I said still walking, the distance between us shortening.

"S-sor-rry I w-won't d-do i-it again. P-please d-d-don't k-kill me" he said coughing after.

"Nah... you know too much things. I know you know that everything you said earlier is a secret of my family. Now you don't want your secret known by other people right? Especially if you don't know and trust them. No one wants that, that's why it's called a secret" The ground started shaking right after I said those words. The terrified look in his face and the fear that's so obvious... I love it.

"Wither!!" I looked at the person who called me. It's Nicho.....

Then everything went black.

I shook my head remembering what happened a year ago. It was because of that incident that I have to stop studying and train my powers instead with Nicho as my trainer within one year. He's a demon as a trainer I swear...

My father's not weak. He's the best dad in the world. He loves me and mom so much. He protected me till his last breath. He died for me. He's not weak...

"Wither calm down..."

"Hey your eyes are red"

I looked at Nicho who's looking at the mirror and to Vhon who's looking at me from the passenger seat. I took a deep breath and calmed down. I also opened my hand.

I clenched it unconsciously.
