EPILOGUE:

ZOE, 9th November 20...

He looks at me with a furious gaze in his eyes. He was in shock that I had ditched him for Daniel Carmen, the school Football Star. Xavier is a geek and a nerd in one. He is way out of my league. Couldn't he know that a fly girl like me could n't go to the Seniors' Ball with him. He couldn't be more dumber than ever.

"Daniel, I think you have the wrong date," Xavier says to Daniel shamelessly. He looks scruffy and swarthy in his cargo pants and dirty old shirt and coat. He doesn't look like the date for me.

"Look, your in the wrong place dude. Zoe is my date," Daniel says to him.

"But I asked her first, right Zoe?"

"Did you? I thought you were only playing with me?"

"But you promised to come with me for the ball after I helped you ace your SAT papers."

"That is because your IQ involves the square root of -1."

"Zoe! What happened to you?"

"You aren't optimized for life, are you?"

"Why are you so mean to me now."

"Did you think that I would go out with you in a million years?"

"You promised me you would."

"Don't let your mind wander. Its too little to be left out alone."

Everyone says 'OU'. I feel strong.

"Well, if I had a dollar for everyone, I'd met as beautiful as you, I'd be poor as dirt."

"You're so skinny your mom actually enjoyed your birth."

"You fell down from the slut tree and banged every guy on the way down."

"Your mamma so stupid she tripped over a cordless phone."

"Oh really!'

"You must have been born on a highway because that is where most accidents happen."

He looks at me with disbelief and walks out of the ball crying. I don't feel good after this. I feel guilty but I can't show it anyway. I carry on with Daniel and I am eventually crowned Queen of the Ball. Any girl's dream for the end of her high school year.
