Blythe

You didn't get to stick around longer as Max dragged you out of there with the excuses. You were disappointed that you weren't able to get the man's number. Well, it was probably for the better. God knows what Silias would have done had he found out.

Sighing, you focused on the man sitting in front of you. Silias was going through the documents Max handed him a few minutes ago. You were getting sick of having to be near him all the time. No matter what you did, you'd never find an opportunity to get out of this hellhole. Doing anything that was rash would definitely cost you your life. You wanted freedom, sure... but you didn't want to end up like the women you saw in the dressing room.

"Looks like the you did a decent job on your first mission," He said, his eyes meeting yours.

You scowled at the man. "Decent? What did you expect. No witnesses?" you sneered at the man. "I don't get paid to do this shit; I don't have to do a flawless job." Huffing, you rolled your eyes.

"Watch your tone and be grateful that I'm allowing you to stay here," Silias said, glaring at you.

You closed your mouth before you ended up dead. You had no reason to be grateful: it's not like you couldn't take care of your self. You were a hero for God's sake! You survived this lone world without him; he wasn't the reason you got so far in life with all the obstacles you had to go through and you sure could go on without him.

"I'd like to remind you that I can hear what you think as well. This world is not that simple, let me remind you of that again. Not only are you now in the public's eyes, you're also a villain now. Know that you wouldn't make it a day out there without me by your side." That... was true. Everybody knew how vicious fans could get, not to mention the fact that you were now a threat to the agency you once belonged to.

You clenched your jaw trying to come up with something to go against his words but you couldn't, could you? What would you say? Everything he said was true, which you didn't want to admit it, you weren't going too; you were as stubborn as a mule and you were going to keep it that way.

Just as you were about to retort back, you heard the door burst open.

In came a tall women with tan skin and a mullet that framed her face perfectly. Her indigo hair catching your attention as she walked over to stand beside you. She smirked at you before turning her attention to towards Silias.

"What are you doing here?" he spat out in anger. "Last time I checked, my payment was fulfilled."

"Now, now, you don't have to be so rude to me, dear. Don't forget my contributions towards your empire, boy," she said, looking down on Silias who was clenching his fists in anger. The women stated the truth. Had it not been for her, Silias would have been left in the dirt, still struggling to build up his empire, as well as not having any control of his ability.

"Well, now that's out of the way, let me see if I can steal your little darling away from you," she said putting her arms around you.

"As if I'd let you near them if anyway. Move."

She shook her head.

"Blythe, take your hands off of them, now," he said with a menacing look on his face.

"I don't think I will, pretty boy. Besides, I've met them once and they liked me, so what's wrong with getting to know them better?" she asked with a lopsided grin on her face.

You tilted your head in confusion; you'd never seen Blythe anywhere. You stood there in confusion while trying to remember if you had ever met her while the two where bickering in the background.

The wave of purple mist bought you out of your thoughts. You looked up to see not Blythe but the man you met at the event a few days ago.

"Pretty cool, eh?" she said as she rose an eyebrow.

You nodded in response, watching her go back to what she looked like when she first came in.

"Anyhow, I'll be taking them out for a trip. Enjoy being grounded," she said with a mischievous smirk while dragging you out of the building.

"Here's a small warning, the media is ruthless. Best to keep quiet; I'll handle them," she said, pushing her glasses up.

The both of you entered a well-developed part of the city. Everywhere you looked, everyone was wearing the best of the best. Enjoying life. no worries of whether they'd make it to the next day or what they intended to do with their life. They were filthy rich. It didn't matter what they did: their money would last a life time. After all, there was nothing good to be expected from the children of greedy and corrupt politicians.

Jealousy started to crawl up your back. If only you had the same — if only you could pamper yourself without any worries, could you have been able to live a good life. They didn't do anything to receive anything that they held in their bloodstained hands, deceiving multiple people for their comfort, threatening people who have no power. Anything they owned would always be covered in the blood, sweat and tears of the people they brought down to lead a extravagant life. You wouldn't mind wiping them out. Not like deserved to live.

Stained, that's what they were — tainted. There was no reason for monsters like them to live this comfortably.

You shook your head, horrified at the thoughts that went through your head. You were a hero, you help people... is what you keep telling yourself. All that work for what? To be thrown away like a puppet, oh the money you'd pay to watch all of them crumble.

Blythe's hand met your shoulder, snapping you out of your train of thoughts.

"You're a villain now darling. Do what you desired for so long. We can watch them crumble together, no limits," she said with a wicked grin. "We can buy the world after that." She giggled softly before her face turned sour. "Keep quiet." Then, she turned away from you, brushing the hair out of her face before turning to the crowd of media reporters and fans who were walking towards the both of you.

"Miss Quantum, is the person beside you Silias Evergreen's significant other?" one of them asked, shoving the camera near your face.

"Why do you care? Start minding your own business. What they are is irrelevant to me. I don't care," she said coldly, not wanting to deal with any of them. All of them continued to badger the both of you. You looked around, eventually spotting a familiar face prompting a frown from your side.

Blythe chased the reporters away before the both of you continued to go around town.

You stopped in your tracks when you were met with the one person you wanted to avoid the most.

Your mother.
