Monday

It smells damp and musty, with the faint smell of mildew.

I walk down the seemingly endless hallway. The wallpaper is peeling, and the pictures that hung on the wall are still there, but faded. I look down at the checkered floor, and it's filthy. I guess my heeled boots will be ruined after this, oh well, they're just shoes.

The room opens up and I can see the picnic tables with their covers still on. To my right, they stand on the stage. They look newer, and I guess you could say cuter. Those must be the ones they tried adding to bring customers back. I didn't remember them, I was always with the Classic ones, according to the map I borrowed. I didn't realize how big this place was, it looks like you can easily get lost here.

I turn around and see what looks like a little boy. He's holding a sign that says 'Balloons!' He doesn't hold balloons anymore, that's kinda sad when you think about it.

There's a giant present box close by. I'm not sure what's inside, but I don't want to find out. This is fueling my nightmares enough.

I force myself to continue down the Toy Hall. The shelves still line the walls, but the toys are long gone. At the end of the hall, I turn right.

As I walk down, I find a small little room for holding small parties. It's easy to imagine the kids running around in their party hats, having the time of their lives. It's amazing how things can change over a short period of time.

I continue down the Main Hall, and turn down the Classic Hall. Suddenly I'm realizing how dead silent this place is, my footsteps echo throughout the halls. I reach the only bathrooms, and I can see the door to the Classic Dining Room. I take a deep breath, and walk up to it. Gathering all my strength, I push the door open.

The dining area looks the same as I remember. All the tables lined up together in rows. Pirate Cove is across the room from me, I never seen him much, he must've been hard to maintain. Right now the purple curtain with white stars is closed, looks like it has a few holes in it.

My eyes are pulled towards the main stage. Bonnie, Freddy, and Chica are all standing there, waiting to play music for the kids. My heart races just looking at them. The door to the back room is still there, but it's boarded up. I walk up towards it, hesitantly. If I have the strength, I may open it later.

I know mom would be proud of me for getting this far. I go over to the stage to get a closer look at Freddy and his friends. Suddenly, I slip in a puddle, and end up falling into one of the tables.

The noise echoes through the room, amd down the hall.

I regain my balance, but my arm hurts from it being slammed against the table.

Heavy footsteps sound from the down hall.

Looking around in a panic, looking for a place to hide. Without thinking, I climb onto the stage and hide behind Freddy. His 'fur' is matted in some spots and it's rough against my skin.

I'm not exactly sure why I'm hiding, the owner should know that I'm here.

The footsteps come into the room and stop.

I want to peak and see who it is, but I don't want to risk it.

Eventually the footsteps go back down the hall. When they're out of ear shot, I release the breath that I've been holding in, and I collapse onto the floor. Who was that? That was actually scarier than I thought.

All of a sudden, I hear movement behind me, resembling machinery. I slowly turn around, and all three of them are staring at me. My heart races once again, and I'm frozen in fear.

They all turn and face me. Freddy bends down, his face inches from mine.

My flight instincts kick in, and I quickly crawl away as far as I can. Once I'm far enough, I get up and run as fast as I can.

I finally reach the Toy Hall and I slip once again. I swear these shoes have no grip! I frantically get up, and run into the Toy Dining Hall. I glance at the stage and they're staring at me as well.

Get out! Get out! I keep telling myself. Finally I reach the door and someone grabs me. I scream, and try to fight them off.

"Hey, calm down. You're all right."

I look at the man who grabbed me, and he looks like a security guard. White shirt, black pants and shoes, even a hat to match.

"They, they moved!" I frantically tell him.

He looks at me confused. "What do you mean by 'they moved'?"

"The animatronics moved."

He shakes his head. "There hasn't been power in this building for years. Why are you even here?"

I take a deep breath and try to calm down. "I need closure."

"Who are you?"

"My name is Erica. You don't recognize me?"

He takes a closer look at me.

I can see that his eyes have a purple shade to them.

"Are you that musician everyone keeps talking about?"

"I didn't realize that I was that popular."

"It's an honor to meet you. You're the talk of the town. I'm Vincent, but most people call me Vinnie."

We shake hands.

"I suggest you stay away from here, this is one mysterious place." He goes to open the door, but notices my bare feet. "Did you bring shoes?"

I nod. "Yeah, but they came off when I was running."

"I see, I'll be right back." He turns down the hall, and I swear I saw something evil in his eyes.

I shake my head and try not to think about it too much. I have too much going on in my head.

A few minutes later he comes back with my boots. "Here you go, be careful going home." He sets them on the floor for me.

"Thank you." I say as I put them on.

He holds the door open for me.

I leave and head straight to my car. When I sit down, the image of Freddy in my face flashes in my mind. I can't help but cry. When I finish, I start my car. I need to find a hotel, whatever I slipped in smells awful, I need to shower.

I look in the mirror and Vinnie is staring at me. I quickly get out of the parking lot as fast as I can.

I'm not sure what it is, but something seems off about him, I'm not sure I want to find out.

"Thank you."

The receptionist hands me my room key. "Of course." She goes back to her computer and ignores my presence.

Sighing, I go to my room and unpack my things. Finally I hop in shower and scrub every part of me. I'm so glad I can get all this crap off me. Once I'm done I plop onto the twin bed. "God, I have way more questions than answers." Why did they move? Do they all move? Who's the guard?

He doesn't seem right, now that I think about it. I'll have to try and avoid him for the rest of my stay.

Exhausted I pull the covers over my head and try to get some sleep.

His hands are around my throat. I know he's choking me, but I don't feel the pain. Suddenly Freddy comes and starts attacking the Golden Bunny. Chica picks me up and walks away with me in her arms.
