Remorse

Folake opened the door to Amaka's apartment, closed it behind her and landed on the chair closest to her.

"Wetin dey worry this one" Amaka asked, walking in on her.

"Wo, Amaka I am tired." She replied without looking up at her.

"Sha, before you go around bothering about that anyhow boyfriend of yours; remember that you look like trash right now. Look at the mirror Fk." She paused a little and then continued. "I don't know the kind of love that's making you allow that human being to frustrate you. I will not be the one to tell your mother that your boyfriend does not have one atom of sense.

Hearing this, Folake stood up, picked her bag and headed inside the kitchen.

"Amaka you did not cook rice?" she questioned loudly.

Chidi's POV

If there's anything I want, it is her. I don't know why she wouldn't cooperate with me. I am handsome, I have money, I am every girl's dream but still… I have a hard time with Folake. I still cannot leave her though, not in this life, not even in the next one. She's too sweet. I just cannot.

The door opened almost immediately and Folake steped in with a smile on her face. Chidi noticed this and stood to his feet.

"How is it that you're smiling?" Chidi asks, walking towards her. He took her hand and looked into her eyes.

"Youre still angry. Aren't you?" he asked

"Not really. You called me so what's up?" Folake asked in return.

"I wanted to apologize. I am sorry. I wanted to say that I am sorry; in person." He said.

Folake hissed, took her hand off Chidi's and headed towards the kitchen. He followed gently until they enter into the kitchen, closing the door behind them. She opened the fridge, took out a bottle of water and closed it.

"Please I beg you. I am sorry" He knelt down in front of her almost immediately.

She opened the bottle of water, emptied it's content on his head and threw it on the floor.

He wrapped his hands around her tightly. "Fk please".

He got up with his hands still wrapped around her and kissed her on the forehead. He traced it with his eyes closed and stopped when he found her lips.

Chidi's POV

I was beginning to think of how she'd taste again and again. I sniffed her and she smelled like strawberries. She had woken the other side of me when she poured water on me. Call me a maniac, anything you like but I will have her right here and now.

He pushed her against the cabinet, kissed her roughly placing his hands on her thighs. Holding firm, he lifted her and placed her properly on the cabinet; he raised his head to check her eyes for a yes.

Anger enveloped him as he pressed hands against her thigh. He was erect and he needed a release but didn't want to go through the struggle of having her by force. He freed his hands from her thighs, looked at her once more and walked away.

Chidi walked in on Folake serving dinner. He wrapped his hands around her and caressed her a little.

"Fk. Forgive me will you? Please" he pleaded. "Fk please I'd take you out. Just name it and it's done baby but please just talk to me"

She freed herself from him and in attempt to walk away, he pulled her in for a hug. She closed her eyes, trying to process things. Tears came down her cheek; she broke down in tears and screamed.

"Fk I'm sorry please I beg you. Please don't cry. I didn't mean to. I swear, I love you so much please I'm sorry. It's not like I choose to hurt you every time, it's just that you wouldn't cooperate with me. I want every inch and part of you Fk. You can't blame a man for falling in love and you know this. Let me in will you?. You're everything I want and even more. FK I almost cannot resist whenever I see you and that's why I'm being sorry right now. Please" He begged.

"Chidi do not make me mad. Do not test me and just let me be. Let me be for heaven's sake." She said slowly.

He observed her mood for a few seconds and hugged her afterwards; he inhaled deeply tightening his grip on her. "Listen I would never hurt you on purpose believe me. I would never make you feel bad because I feel like it". He freed himself from her and kissed her forehead. "Fk please I beg you. I will die if you do this. please do not break us." He said

"Break us? Are you even normal?" She asked.

" You're the one breaking whatever this is. This isn't even a reasonable relationship and you're speaking of who's breaking something. please excuse abeg." With that, she hissed and walked out on him.

Folake's POV.

Somebody will just be spoiling things for other people and just open mouth waaa to say nonsense. Shay I have everything now but can't drink water and drop cup. One day one trouble. Follow man wey get money, follow man wey fine, follow man wey fit do this wey fit do that; nai I dey so.
