16 Momentary Peace. (2)

Author's note : Seems like my last chapter wasn't too appreciated, I will try to work on that, after a few rereadings of the chapter, I noticed that effectively the death of Gohan was too quick, But too forced, I don't know, I don't think they reacted so much out of character, As I explained, Trunks was a bit too drunk on anger, and we know what saiyans tend to do when they get confindence too, and it's not like he had to ever deal with a situation like this in the first place, but I'll try to work on that too. 

Please bear with this chapter as it will be slice of life for now, for at least 2 chapters.

Don't worry I'm still in my motivational streak so there are more chapters coming this week.

After a good night of sleep, Trunks had pondered over the many problems his time travel would affect the world, He knew that if time travelled, it would cause zamasu and many other things to see the light, so he wondered, was that worth the risk ?

He could just continue to train then killing Babidi and sabra and all the problems would be solved. But would that be good, it's true that his saiyan nature hates avoiding fights but he was Demi-earthling and more he was a human before.

But he couldn't not go into the past. He knew that because of him, Gohan died, because of his overconfidence. No matter the challenges, he already knew he had to face them one way or another.

So He decided that he would go to the past and by that occasion, revive all z fighters that died, though Goku would have to wait as the super dragon balls are not just any dragon ball he can find. Plus there is the problem of Moro, he Had to get stronger.

But for now, the only thing he could now was to wait.

He also thought of Shin who would be able to get the location of new namek through king kai but he had to wait, which isn't so good.

For now, he would train and wait 2 years till the Time Machine is ready, Cell wouldn't be a problem as he would be too weak to fight him after those 2 years. 

So now, he is heading towards Mount Paozu. The legendary mountain where Goku grew, he was taking his time to go there and passed by the iconic mountains in the Cha la head la opening, it really was beautiful.

It resembled China and it was super pretty, after a few minutes he finally arrived at the place of Goku and Chichi's house. The one with the orange roof.

As he descended from the sky, he knocked on the door, but surprisingly, there was no one and the door was opened, "Maybe they went somewhere, I should wait."

He then started flying and was lying down in the air.

"Hmm, I want to see Goku and Grandpa Gohan Little house, I'll just take a look as I was a big db fan."

'It would be good If I asked Sheron to make these musics here, I would enjoy watching the animes, as there isn't too much anime industries In this world, heck Japan doesn't even exist.' But he remembered there is more urgent than animes and anime music right now.

"Goku's house should be near the mount paozu peak."

Trunks then searched the house for a few minutes but found it very quickly.

"Wow, that's what it looks like in real life !" Trunks eyes were shining as if the dream of his life had become true.

"Sorry for the intrusion" Trunks said as he opened the doors. He looked at everything in amazement.

As he opened the door there was a bed to the side with yellow curtain. It had little dots regrouped in three as design. There was a lantern just a bit higher than the cushion. On the other side were nuts suspended to the wall, they seemed really old. The house had the iconic Chinese kanji window. And on the end of the house, was a table with a Violet cushion and on it was a stone.

"It's probably the 4th Star dragon ball." 

Near the house was a well. 

Trunks felt relaxed here, there was a vibe of peace as if all his worries had faded, he felt at peace..., he lay down on the bed and closed his eye...

..., A few hours later

".... up...ke up.... Wake up !" A woman who looked very tired in her late thirties, with a dark pink Chinese dress was standing up in front of the young who seemed to sleep peacefully with no care for the world. 

She was trying to wake up this young boy who fell asleep in her late husband childhood home. She didn't seem angry but was becoming irritated as the boy was not waking up.

She then started shaking him as she tried to wake him up. She of course was prepared to face him if he was some hooligan, she knew martial arts after all and was still not rusty.

The Boy then slowly opened his eyes and was not shocked as he saw her so close. 

'Does he not have a sense of danger ?' Chichi thought as she saw the boy slowly wake up and stand up, she had slightly shocked expression.

"Hello, My name is Trunks and I'm very sorry that I was sleeping in your late husband house."

"Trunks ? It seems a bit familiar but I can't seem to remember it, and how do you know this is my husband's house ?" Chichi said while wondering how he knows that.

Trunks stood up and faced Chichi "I am the son of Bulma." Chichi then quickly regained composure and looked very happy.

"Ah so you're her son, you've really grown up ! So You remember me, Even though I only saw you as a kid ?" Chichi looked at trunks with a lot of anticipation.

"aha, sorry, Mom just told me about you and goku." Trunks looked a bit embarrassed.

"don't be shy, it's just me being silly, so if you're here, do you know of Gohan, my son, he disappeared a few years after the androids apparition while saying that he will save the earth." Chichi looked very depressed talking about her son...

Trunks with a very guilty face faced to chichi " This is actually why I'm here, let's go talk in your main house." Chichi only responded with a nod while looking very scared.

After arriving to the house in which Chichi's father Gyumao, was there too, They seated on the table.

Chichi spoke first " There have been news that the androids have been defeated, and as you can see we have no tv here, so if that was true my son would have come."

"I have not much to say but I will say this first..." Trunks then got up bowed down "I am very sorry and this all my fault." Chichi and Gyumao were very stunned at trunks declaration and knew automatically that he was gonna announce bad news. 

Chichi didn't wanna hear it, she wanted to run away, she could not bear to stay in this house, It was as if her heart was compressing itself, she felt very weak so much that she couldn't say a thing anymore and then she heard

"Gohan has by my mistake passed away..." as soon as he said that, it was as if someone had crushed her heart. her breath quickened.

"CHICHI !" Gyumao screamed as he saw his daughter faint.

Trunks knew something like this would happen, after not seeing her son for years, and losing her husband, she thought finally as the news that androids had been defeated, she fought her son would come back home.

But even after 2 weeks, he did not come back, She then fought maybe the androids weren't really defeated but she still hoped to see her son come back, when the boy she found told her he's bulma son and came to talk about her son, she was scared but still had a gleam of hope, maybe he was injured or something like that.

Unfortunately, Her only son, her only child, her flesh had died. 

Trunks knew it was his fault and maybe thought of lying to them that Gohan was injured or had gone away but he felt too guilty doing that. He could bring himself to lie to her when he saw her face.

After a few hours, Chichi finally regained consciousness. Trunks and Gyumao were sitting besides her bed.

"My daughter, finally you are awake !" Gyumao was teary as he saw his cherished daughter finally waking up and hugged her. "it's gonna be okay, I'm still here."

Trunks stood up and tried to apologize again, but Chichi quickly interrupted him.

"Stop this ! I do not need apologies, I knew well how dangerous it is to fight and even if you made a mistake, it was still dangerous of him to fight, I don't blame you, but you could have at least inform me earlier."

After that Trunks decided to tell them how he met Gohan and how he was trained by him till they fought the androids.

He decided not to tell them about Time Machine as he is not sure wether he can do it or not as the dragon balls may have restrictions he is not aware of as this is real life and not a manga and anything could happen.

Trunks bid them farewell after that with his determination renewed again. He knows what he needs to do. Get strong and revive all z fighters and prevent this timeline from getting erased because of zamasu.

But he still had a gleam of hope, as mr popo could communicate with Enma (The big red Judge)

And through that contact King kai and access the namekian Dragon ball. But there was a small problem, wait sorry, a big plot hole, King kai not even once contacted the left over z fighters. In the manga it is a plot hole but this is real life, and it would be strange that king kai didn't contact them. 

And Mr Popo would have probably survived as he is a genie, he may have escaped but I don't see him leaving the Kami's palace, And yajirobe only left Karine's tower because of black and not because of the androids, so they must still be there...

So trunks decided to head to Karine's tower as it must still be here. He knows where it is because of the different games world map. Kakarot's world map is very accurate as it also helped him locate many important city location.

As he passed through various cities as Dragon ball had many more places and was still bigger than original earth size, he saw may people still reconstructing buildings. He also saw many cars coming back to the cities as there was also many people on feet.

After a few minutes he arrived at tower Karine's place, the American indigenes like people were still there. Sadly I don't remember the names of the one goku met and saved. He must be all grown up now.

So I decide to ignore them make my way first to Karine's place, it's very high but not that high for a fighter.

the place seems a bit rundown but it's still clean, then I sense two persons in the little room.

"Is someone there ?" I still need to pretend I don't know them or it will be strange.

Then a womanly voice came out, "Who is it ?" The door opened and a fairly little fat cat came out, how say, it was very strange seeing a cat walk like a human and even she did not really ressemble a cat. 

"Who are you and how do you know this place, and third how did you come up here ?" Karine asked with a bit of curiosity mixed with suspicion.

"Oh i am Trunks, I am the son of Bulma, and more precisely an acquaintance of Goku's son Gohan." I don't think Karine remember bulma as she only heard about her from Yajirobé.

"Oh an acquaintance of Gohan I see. So are you the one who defeated the androids, as I don't see Gohan with you."

Trunks responded as he should and explained what happened and why he is here.

"Hmm, I don't really know what to say." She then faced the room in the corner and screamed "YAJIROBE, wake up !" After that, we heard a man growl and he was lowly getting up

"Yes, what is it Grandma ?" 

"Bring me the Senzu beans all of them !"

"WHAT ? ALL OF THEM ? For who ? You must know that people need it." Then he saw the long haired purple boy standing there.

"Hey, WHO ARE YOU ?" Yajirobe asked.

"Oh i am bulma and vegeta's son." trunks said with a smily and polite expression.

"Hmm, You're that woman's son and the other grumpy alien's son, hmph, I already overheard the story, I was just messing with ya'."

"Take it" Yajirobe then threw all the remaining Senzu beans to Trunks. " There must be at least 8, keep it carefully."

"Thank you very much !" Trunks then bid his farewell and got higher up as he followed the path made by the Magic stick.

He then arrived at Kami's lookout. It looked very peaceful but also, very lonely.

It was carefully maintained, Trunks then landed.

"Is there someone here ?" Trunks screamed as there no responses for a few seconds.

"Hmm, it looked like there really was someone...", trunks looked a bit disappointed, "Yes, who may you be ?" 

Suddenly trunks turned and was ready to face his opponent as he heard no sound. But was met with a very black genie.

"Oh, sorry, I must scared you." The genie apologized and asked again "Who may you be ?"

"No it's me who is sorry, I shouldn't have jumped like that. My name is Trunks and I'm an acquaintance of Goku's son." trunks replied as he put back his sword on his back.

'Hmm I should train to do it like trunks in the original, hehehe.'

"Hmm, a friend of Goku's son, and why are you here ?" Mr Popo asked curiously.

"He told me stories of here and I wanted to check if you are still here."

"As you can see I'm still here, if that's all you can leave there's nothing to see here." Mr Popo said indifferently

'Hmm, he's quite cold.'

"I'm not finished Mr Popo, I wanna know if you can contact Enma ?" Trunks asked.

"Unfortunatly no, the connection was shut down a few days after The androids attack." Mr Popo said but this time looking a bit depressed.

"But do you know why ?" Trunks asked desperately, if he could not go to the past the zamasu problem would become inexistent.

"No, i do not." Popo relied, " and king kai, him too can't be contacted ?"

"No." Popo replied again.

"Haaa, sigh... Mr Popo, does the hyperbolic time chamber still function ?"

"Hmm, they told you about this too ? Anyway, it works, Do you wanna use it ?" Mr Popo asked.

"Yes, it would be very helpful as I need to quickly Become stronger." Trunks replied to mr Popo, very determined.

"You can use it, but there are a few rules, you can not use it for 2 days, meaning 2 years. second if you destroy anything here, you will be banished from here." Mr Popo replied indifferently again.

"Okay, i will come back to use it." trunks said and bid his farewell to Mr Popo.

Now it is already sunset but there is still one person he has to meet. Baba, the sister of Master Roshi. She can bring the dead back to the world for a day, so let's go ask her brother where she is. she might have a response as to why The connection with the world is cut.

Trunks then headed toward Kame house. 

After a while, he arrived. from the sky he could see Rosh reading his 'Books' and launch making food from the kitchen while Puar and Oolong were playing.

"Yo guys, how is it ?" Trunks said while greeting all of them.

After a rather heart warming reunion, Trunks Got to the point. "Master, Do you know where your sister is ?" trunks said very seriously.

"Hmm, I think I know where she is, but how do you know her, I never told you about this grandma." Roshi replied.

"I know of her because of my mom, she told you had a sister who could bring people from the dead and could see the future and a lot of other things."

"Hmm, I see, anyway, she must be at her old place, since the androids have now been defeated. Let me tell you where is it."

After that Roshi carefully indicated her location. 

Trunks wanted to go now as he was rather impatient there was still the threat of Cell in the nature. He wanted to do things now and not waste Time from now on as it nearly cost him his life and cost the life of his friend and mentor.

20 minutes later, at night,...

"aaah, finally arrived, hmm, it' here, that goku met his grandfather again and the place he fights frieza before the TOP." Trunks said while looking a bit everywhere.

He Then got to the tiny home "Is there anyone here ?" 

'That's the third time I say it today.' 

"Yes, I know who you are, enter." She did not steal her reputation she knew I was searching for her. But it must be of no use to ask her to read the future, as she is not strong enough.

Walking inside the place he saw the old woman approached him on her crystal ball.

"Good evening, I did say that I know who you are but you martial artist, I do not know why you are here, as I am not strong enough. So Why is the reason for your sudden visit Trunks." Baba Said.

"Hi, Grandma-" Baba quickly interrupted him, "I'm no grandma, call me big sister !"

Trunks knew baba was difficult and didn't complain but was still embarrassed.

"Bi-Big sister, I want to know if you can still go to the otherworld ?" baba Was shocked, and looked very serious.

"I can but I no longer have any information from there, and If I go I wouldn't be able to go back, there is an interference, something or someone is blocking. And it might be a foe.
