Soccer ball
Like his airways were being constricted, Qie Xieling woke up with a start while gasping for air. He coughed several times before the sound of footsteps followed.
Qie Xieling found that his abdomen was wrapped with silk gauze and so was his arm and shoulder. He rubbed his forehead which was throbbing trying to recall what happened.
Jolie rushed in seeming so excited. She climbed into the bed while yelling, "You are finally awake. Damn, I thought you would sleep forever. You scared me."
Qie Xieling cleared his throat and before he could even ask Jolie brought a cup to his lips. "Here, drink some water," she said being a very attentive bedside nurse.
"How long have I been out?" he asked and Jolie tapped her lips while making a mental calculation. From her expression, he could tell that it had to have been for a long time.
