THOMAS EYES OPEN WHEN HE HEARD CHRISTA SAID SHE LOVE HIM

Thomas was even surprised himself thinking, 'The evening was mind-blowing, I hope my plan work, trying to get the family to know her better.

And maybe she will relax and settle down and accept them as her new family.

If only she could trust them but mom is so fussy, always complaining about something, I have never seen this side of her.

Noticing how his family looked on as the three of them took care of their father, and Christa, they also helped Mrs. Marva with the cleaning up.

Before Bill leaves he hug me saying, "You did a splendid job, I have never seen this side of you before? And I see you are quite a romantic at heart?"

Resting his right hand on Bill's shoulder saying, "I surprise myself, and I didn't know it would turn out this lovely. I know she was a surprise and her family seem please."

"I believe they were, but you still have to tell me the whole story of how you two met?"

"Oh not tonight, I am beat and my brain is tired, thinking since last night wanting to make this day grand."

"So you think up all this only yesterday?"

"Not exactly, some of the things just happen at the spur of the moment, I had no plans of having a party.

You see I order the crib a few days ago not knowing her father would be here for her birthday. The cake was a last-minute decision, which I order yesterday morning.

I still wasn't aware her father was coming, because my plan yesterday was for her to just cut the cake with mom, dad, Mrs. Marva, and myself.

It so happen when I heard they came and heard Christa and her dad speaking. I decided to do something special. So I spoke with Mrs. Marva about the meals.

Last night I ordered the tent and hired the decorators to come before everyone wake up, so no one will see what was happening.

Mrs. Marva began her preparation since I told her yesterday, hiding everything in my study and locking my door.

I got Mom and dad out of the house, taking Christa's family for a drive when Christa went to take her rest, to set up everything."

"Well I should say you did a marvelous job, I can see Christa was very surprised and happy."

"Thanks my friend, I tried my best, and thank you for coming."

Saying his good night to everyone, seeing Christa and Aliza sitting both whisperings, with Mom and Dad still lingering around.

Christa, look tired, going to her when Aliza said, "So you told everyone except me?"

"I knew you and Christa are friends so I was expecting you to come, did you see any gift on the table with your name?"

Hearing her laugh, as she hugs him, "I hope you know I love you very much, and this was truly a blessing, now I must say good night and I will see you tomorrow."

"It is late, so why don't you stay?"

"Are you sure?"

"I don't think mom and dad will be angry? The others have company to return to their homes, but it is just you alone."

In the room as Christa showed she realized that Thomas had bought all the gifts for her, but had written their names.

Recalling the shock in their faces as she said their names and open the gifts. They seem more surprised than I was, I am sure they wouldn't have thought of getting me those gifts.

The evening was lovely and Papa did well, he seized the opportunity to bless Thomas one time openly in front of his family.

And he seems please with what Thomas did, Louise, Laura, and Shamil seem to like Thomas a lot, the way they keep calling him brother-in-law. And from his expression, it seems as though he likes them a lot.

My in-laws show that they care, but that must be because Papa was here, but other than that the evening was lovely.

I have never gotten so many gifts that were meant for me alone. Most of the gifts were maternity dresses and flat sandals matching the dresses.

Thomas has bought all my clothes since before we have gotten married. And this dress was so beautiful.

I can't believe he plan all this for me and hadn't whispered a word and he keep calling me honey and saying he love me.

I know he keeps making the extra effort to prove his love. And I know I am the one that is holding back.

I know we sleep in the same bed but that is because I need his body warmth to keep that chilliness away.

I don't want to lose the baby because of my stubbornness. Also, my family doesn't believe in getting a divorce. So I have to make this marriage work because of my foolishness.'

Thinking about Aliza's gift, 'It was different though, she had gotten me a lovely chain-set and a beauty set.

In the set, it has everything from a manicure, to a pedicure, also a make-up set. I never knew anyone knew it was my birthday.

And speaking with Aliza only to hear Thomas didn't even invite her and she told him nothing. Lord, I have never received so many gifts before in my life.'

Christa smile as memories flooded her mind, 'How Papa and Mama used to get us dolly houses set that huge. Dear God and the crib was mind-blowing, it's the most precious gift I receive, well except for Papa's blessing.'

I never expected a get-together, and having Jill and Bill made it special, knowing they are the only ones I have as a friend. Feeling such peace with everyone mingling with each other.

Hearing eleven bangs Christa dried herself and change. Not hearing a sound in the room, Christa thought Thomas must have fallen asleep the length of time she had taken in the bathroom.

Seeing him with a cup of tea sitting by the window, hearing him saying as I step out the bathroom.

"I didn't know if you wanted anything hot to drink, but I still brought up a warm glass of milk for you."

"Thank you, it sounds good and Thomas, thank you for this evening. Everything was just so lovely and the cake was delicious."

"I just wanted you to be happy."

"I appreciate that and I believe everyone had a good time."

"I believe the same thing, now I know you are tired, so try and get some rest, we have to get up early for Church."

Seeing she drink the milk then she lies down. Finishing his tea then he went and take a cool long shower, then lie on the bed next to her.

Thomas reminisces of the evening events, happy that it turns out better than he had anticipated.

Looking at her seeing a smile on her face as she sleeps. Lifting his hand he thank God she enjoyed it. His eyes were closed as he was dosing away when she turn and hug him.

Hearing her saying, "I love you." Thomas open his eyes thinking she was awake, but she was sound asleep and was dreaming.

Going back to that night on his mind, 'Things has changed so much in these four and a half months.'
