Jealousy

" So considerate " Mirabelle thought as she walked side. by side with him.

They came downstairs only to meet already prepared lunch which was being set on the dining table .

" Ooohhh is good you're awake . Lunch is ready " . Mirabelle's mother said with a smile which they both returned with their own.

" Mira call your brother and Zilvshun downstairs " Mirabelle mother added walking towards the kitchen .

Just as Mirabelle turned to go back upstairs to call her brother she saw him descending the stairs with his eyes half closed and his head leaning on Zilvshun's shoulder .

Zilvshun has one of her arms around his waist as they walked down .

Everyone looked at them with their mouths formed in an "O" . Renly's father shook his head in amusement at his son's behavior , he remembers correctly that his son doesn't like to take afternoon naps and when he does he wouldn't wake up till night falls .

Anyone who wakes him would experience what Zilvshun was experiencing right now.

" I told you we can eat lunch later but you refused to listen to me " . Renly said in a sleepy voice earning a chuckle from everyone.

" You're behaving like my mom . Both of you act as if I would die without lunch " . Renly said yawning.

" Yh you might die without lunch and I can't let that happen . You have to live long enough to entertain me " Zilvshun said in a duh tone.

" You're right I don't want to die and leave you behind for another man " he muttered rubbing his eyes with the back of his palm.

" And besides I'm very handsome than that weird Brandon guy " he added confidently while burying his face into her wavy hair .

" You have a point but you're not handsome than my ice king , he's my first love after all " she said messing up his hair.

What she said wiped every single sleep he had within him.

" Who's the man you're calling the Ice king..? " he asked with a calm expression but everyone knew he was not calm at all.

" Not your business Mr . Stranger b" she replied with a shrugged .

" I am your boyfriend and you can't talk about another man in my presence . Tell that Ice king to stay off what's mine " he said in a tone of finality storming into the kitchen while Adir smirk deviously.

" Why did you do that ? " . Adir asked his sister with a smile.

" Because he refused to wake up " she answered making the others chuckle lightly.

Zilvshun and the others walked into the dinning room and sat down but instead of her sitting beside the jealous Renly she sat beside Azure which made him starred at his brother intently .

" Hermosa come here " Renly said not taking his eyes off his younger brother.

" But we're just about to eat , let's talk when we're done eating " she replied flipping her hair backwards.

" I don't want to repeat myself " he said crossing his arms.

" Why are men so possessive" she muttered as she stood up and walked towards him .

Everyone watch the duo in amusement as she walked to Renly's side and sat down while he served her with a serious expression.

Everyone ate in comfortable silence . Renly kept putting food on Zilvshun's plate throughout the entire lunch.

After lunch Renly's parents and grandparents left leaving behind their kids who decided to sleep over .

Renly never spoke to Zilvshun after what she had said , he was so jealous that she called another man so affectionately.

He badly wanted to beat whoever she was talking of , he didn't want any man apart from him to get close to her. The jealousy in his heart didn't allow him to talk to her.

He was really mad she talked about another man in his presence.

Even after they retire for the night he still didn't talk which caused the young lady to become worried about him .

After having their bath , they both crawled under the comforters . Renly pulled her into his arms and wrapped his arms around her before kissing her forehead.

" Only mine " he murmured making her frown at his strange tone .

When he had spoke , his voice was shaky as if he was afraid of something which was puzzling her . What made his tone shaky was unknown to her.

Zilvshun sighed wrapping an arm around his waist . She really doesn't understand this man because they're both strangers . Although their families are friends she has never met Renly and his family before because she has spent most of her life outside the country.

The next morning Zilvshun woke up and saw that the young man wasn't on the bed with her , she went downstairs to ask for him but she was told he had left but left his contact on her cell phone .

His siblings also went back after breakfast . Adir and Colin went to their respective work places leaving Zilvshun and their father home.

Zilvshun and Alan went to check up on her mother , she took care of her with a smile.

" She would be fine , she's recovering faster than I thought she would. Don't fret she would wake up in three or four days " she assured her sad father who breathed out a sigh of relieve .

" If not for you I wouldn't have known what to do " Alan said hugging his precious daughter .

" I'm so lucky to have a daughter like you in my life " . He added kissing her forehead gently.

" And I'm very lucky that you're my father " She said with a gentle chuckle.

" So what do you think about the young man you're dating ? " her father asked pulling her to sit down with him.

" Dad we're still strangers and he still haven't gotten over his fiance " she said looking out of the large window .

" I know you both just met and knows nothing about each other but love doesn't know bounds " her father replied.

" His past doesn't matter now . If you can make him forget and move on , it would benefit both of you . You need someone just like he does " her father stated holding her hand.

" I know you can do it , you're a strong woman and I have seen the way he looks at you . He might not understand his heart now but he will if you guide him and in turn you will also find a reason to let go of the past " he added.

" I don't know dad . Everything is complicated with both of us . I don't know why he is even keeping me but I also don't want to leave him alone otherwise he might do something stupid " Zilvshun said in a low voice.

" But I will think about it " she added as she leaned back into the couch closing her eyes in boredom.

" Okay sweetheart , don't worry I have a good feeling about this so chill " Alan assured his daughter.

Zilvshun called Renly many times but he never picked up her call , she even left a text message for him but still he didn't reply which prompted her to become worried about him .

She has an afternoon shift so she dressed up and went to the hospital to treat her patients . She parked her car in the parking lot and alighted from the car. She went to the reception to check in . She has just changed her outfit when a nurse burst into her office with a frantic look.

" Doctor Zilv , there's a patient who has been in an accident " the nurse told her.

" Okay go I will be right there " she told the nurse.

Zilvshun took longer strides out of the office and into the OR . When she got there what she saw shook her world but she was quick to compose herself . She quickly got to work . The nurses helped her with wearing the outfit and , she snapped on a pair of gloves.

" Grant me healing hands " she prayed in her heart and started the surgery.

Broken glasses were buried into the abdomen of the patient , it was a difficult surgery which took six hours.

After she was done she walked into her office and made some calls before going to the ward of the patient.

She didn't know how it could be him . " Why does he always get himself into trouble . This patient is really careless " .

" I will scold you myself after you wake up , how dare you play with your life every time . That life doesn't belong to only you " . She muttered walking into the patient's ward.

She didn't understand why people play with something as fragile called life . Death is always hovering over our heads so playing with your life means you don't cherish it .

She has advised this particular person but seems like it didn't reach him well . She wondered how his family will take the news . She entered the ward and slumped tiredly into the chair next to the patient .

" So stubborn " she muttered.

She placed her head on the bed and slept off immediately . She was tired as well as hungry but at that moment she couldn't think of eating anything .

Sudden footsteps flooded the ward after an hour.

" How the heck did brother ended up like this ...? " a voice asked with confused tone.

" He looks bad right now " another voice commented .

" Have you called our men to carry out the investigation...? " another voice asked his own question .

" Yes I did " a young man replied in a calm tone.

" Good " the voice replied.

" My son . Who did this to you " a woman's voice asked trying to touch the patient's cheek but something held her wrist in the next second.
