Gone?, Where?

Renly massage his temples with a sad smile on his lips. He's a jerk, how could he do that to the only person who trusted him from the beginning of their first meeting? She had trusted him and agreed to date him even though he had rejected her in the past without getting to know him.

**Flashback***

" I will not marry a stranger. I have someone else I love and she loves me too " Renly had said to his parents in frustration.

" We're not asking you to jump into marriage with this girl, you can get to know her first. She's a good girl she would make a better wife than that young woman who is just with you because of what you have " his father told him sincerely but Renly didn't feel any sincerity from his words.

" You will love her, she's everything any man would want as a wife " his mother added.

" How can you compare her to my fiancee...?, she can be my wife, that position is unavailable and if she's so good then tell Azure to get married to her," he said as he walked out not wanting to hear more of what they were both saying about that young woman who he hadn't even met before.

***End of flashback***

Renly released another sigh after he recalled that memory. He should have listened to his family, he should have met her and he should have gotten to know her before rejecting her as well. His mother was right when she said the young woman was everything any man would want as a wife.

He wondered if things would have been different than this if he had met her in the past but he knew it was useless to think about the Ifs and Hows.

Renly closed from work and came home only to meet an empty bed and room, he quickly changed into casual wear before going downstairs for dinner, thinking that she was downstairs but was only met with the familiar faces of his family, even Adir wasn't there.

" Where's she...? " he asked as he sat down.

" She's gone " was his mother's simple reply.

" Gone..?, Where...? " Renly asked in shock.

" She had an emergency call from outside so she left this afternoon " Azure replied calmly.

" I dropped her off, she has to conduct surgery on someone in Country A " Azure added as he scooped some soup into his bowl.

" Did she say when she would be able to come back...? " Renly asked as he leaned into his chair.

" No, she just said she would be back before I know it " Azure replied.

Renly couldn't eat dinner as he had a lost appetite, he went to his balcony and sat there in the dark, he couldn't wrap his head around the whole thing. Why didn't she send him a text..?, is she that angry with him....?. Renly didn't know how long he has been sitting in the dark but for some reason, he felt as if he was losing something and he wanted to know what it was.

Sighing softly he stood up and walked into his dark room. He switched on the bedside lamps and saw a book there, he took the book and flipped through it, and as he kept flipping the pages, a piece of paper fell free of it. He drew his brows together in thought as he kept the book aside with his right hand while picking up the paper with his left hand.

He proceeded to flip the folded paper open and read the contents of it. " I know before you read this letter then I'm out of the country. I know that you are going through a lot at the moment and I perfectly understand but I just want you to know that I will always be there for you.

Take care of yourself while I'm away, be back before you know it "

Renly smiled after reading the short letter. He was glad that she at least left a letter behind for him. No matter what happened Zilvshun never forgot to leave him a message. That's how much she cares about him.

Zilvsun was gone for a week, there wasn't a day that Renly didn't think about her, he always thought about her. He misses her dearly. Although she texts him once in a while it doesn't stop him from missing her. However, Renly knew he was not in love with her instead, he was attracted to her, and this allure was killing him, after all, how could a mere attraction be so strong?

Today is the eighth day of her trip, Renly just arrived from work, and as he got off his car, his cell phone began to vibrate in his pocket. Renly took out his phone and adjoined the call before it to his ear. "She's coming back from country A tonight" Adir's voice sounded from the other side of the line calmly.

" Okay. Thank you for reaching out to me" Renly said with gratification.

"I just want you to know that I have your backs, I desire to see both of you happy again, even if it's for a while" Adir replied honestly before severing the call.

Renly and Adir have known each other since they were toddlers. They've been to the same schools and were even-handed with their family businesses the same day. The two men became brothers sincerely, and so is natural for Adir to say that to Renly.

Renly dialed a number immediately Adir severed the call. "Prepare everything," he said to the person on the other side as soon as the call connected. Renly hunger up the call without waiting for the other person's response as he walked into the living room and towards the elevator.

Renly had a quick shower, dressed up in black jeans trousers, a blue t-shirt, and a pair of white sneakers, he exited his bedroom and padded downstairs not knowing why he was using the stairs when the elevator is available.

"Where are you going dressed like that?," Renly heard his mother's cold voice ask as soon as he descended the stairs.

"I'm warning you, young man, don't think you can do anything just because she's out of the country," she added without waiting for his response to her first question.

"Mom I'm going to the airport to pick her up," Renly told his mother and quickly left a kiss on her left cheek before sprinting out while his mother stood frozen in her spot. Silvia rubbed where her son has kissed in shock because Renly have not kissed her since the day he brought that young woman home but today he did.

"Sweetheart, why are you standing there like you've got the shock of your life?" Edward questioned his wife curiously snapping the woman out of her haze.

"He said he loves me and kissed me," Silvia muttered in disbelief while her husband's brows pulled up in thought.

"Who are you talking about?" Edward asked. " Renly" was her curt response. "He did? "Edward asked. " Yes, he did" Silvia confirmed again.

"Then, that's good progress, "Edward said as he sat on the couch.

It was almost eight-thirty in the evening when Zilvshun's flight landed, she had thought her brother will pick her up from the airport but no he didn't, she took her cell phone and dialed her brother's number tiredly and pulled her suitcase along with her.

"Where are you, " Zilvshun asked immediately after the call connected. "Turn around and face the entrance, someone is there to pick you up, "Adir replied calmly. Zilvshun did as she was told, rolling her eyes in the process.

She gapped at the person standing a few feet away from her with stiffened posture. "I got to go, "Zilvshun said before hanging the call-up. She watched the young man walk in her direction with a banquet of yellow tulips in his hands. Zilvshun pursed her thin lips looking into the eyes of the man who now stood in front of her with a smile, his smile reflected in his blue-green eyes, the man was handsome with or without a smile. The blue T-shirt, he paired with the black pants and leather jacket made him appear youthful, Zilvshun gave him a slight smile in return.

"Welcome back, "Renly said as he took the suitcase from her.

"Thank you, "Zilvshun replied with a nod of acknowledgment as she let go of the handle of the suitcase.

"These are for you, "Renly said, giving her the banquet of flowers he brought. Zilvshun took it with a smile as she mumbled a thank you to him. Renly allowed a relieved smile to sleep past his lips, she accepted his flowers, which meant he was pardoned.

He took her hand in his while he dragged her suitcase with the other as they both strolled toward his car. They both became the center of attention as people stared at them in awe, the scene of a man dragging a suitcase and holding a woman's hand in his looks very eye-catching, plus the ambiance the man was emitting is very frigid while that of the woman was warm, which they thought was perfect.
