Though it seems that it was all just me in the end since everybody else looked unbothered...

The door quickly spun open as the guy from before walked out with a phone.

"I'm just one button away from calling the police, You guys better scram, or I'll screw you over!" The blonde guy shouted angrily.

Shit!... Is what I would have said if I believed him.

"Yeah right! You push that button and we'll rat Robert out!" I knew that the blondie wasn't actually Robert, Boss told me that the guy we were looking for had black hair, so this dude must be some relative or friend.

The blondie paused seemingly considering my words...

"What do you even want with him? And who the hell are you?" He demanded.

"Who we are isn't important, what 𝘪𝘴 important is Robert's dept!" I demanded back.

"That guy owes us a lot of hard cash and he hasn't paid even a single dime for months! if he still can't give us that money then we'll be forced to take it from him in 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 ways" I explained the situation the gave a veiled threat.

"How much did he owe you?" The guy asked.

"About $30.000" I explained.

It would be great if he just had the money and gave it to us now, While this wasn't what I was supposed to actually do, that is sack his house because of our predatory policy of not accepting payment after the deadline, I would rather get yelled at by the boss then have to stay here any longer.

"What? no way my brother asked for that much money!" He shouted back.

Ahh... So this guy is Robert's brother? that made this much easier.

"We have high-interest rates" I explained.

"Since you're an immediate relative, You could be the stand-in for Robert and pay the debt for him" I gave a little nudge.

"Hmm... alright give me a minute to get the money" OH THANK GOD YES.

My wish was fulfilled and I get the hell out of here...

"Get it quickly! We don't have a lot of time" That sentence made little Timmy and the others confused since we did in fact have a lot of time.

"Yeah, Yeah" Robert's brother answered.

I should get an Oscar because damn, that was one hell of a performance.

"You really are an expert in wasting time," Draco said it perfectly, I was actually just stalling back then which was why I acted like I didn't know those guys.

Fortunately for me, the Night Serpents for some reason wanted to resolve the conflict peacefully which gave me a perfectly reasonable excuse to hide in my house again, getting the debt money, which I actually didn't have, but that mattered 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 little when the Advent was literally just about to happen.

I would eat my ass if those guys still cared about debt when actual monsters started raining from the sky.

"How much longer?" I asked.

"About a minute left" Draco responded.

I quickly locked the door and covered up every single window in the house.

I quickly made sure that all the downloaded games, movies, and videos were there in case the internet shuts down.

Due to the aboriginal inhabitants' unfamiliarity with the myriad energies, 𝐄𝐬𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 will likely occur to those with weaker will and constitution. Due to the constant 𝐄𝐄 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰, those with higher mutation rates will exhibit hostile behavior to any familiar lifeforms in sight.
