SAVE THE BILLIONAIRE

Life was unfair. Hard, lonely, dark. But even still, Isabella learned to smile, she learned to hide her pain, dissatisfaction, her fears and her secret as well. Isabella practically grew up alone cause nobody wanted her. She was casted out by her own family and was sent to the orphanage, were she ran away from to start a new life for herself. Living behind her painful past. Seated on the shore by the ocean as she watched the waves crash beautifully against each other, as she felt the cool breeze on her skin, Isabella thought of what it would be like if her life would ever have a change. It did change. It changed on that cold chilly night when she first saw him......

WHY IS SHE ACTING?

NEXT DAY •

Sebastian was coming out more often but they never conversed that much, not even a 'good morning'.

He was currently sitting on the couch, staring idly at the wall since there was no TV or an device for him to occupy himself with.

Surprisingly, he didn't want to think about his accident, he didn't want to. At least not yet. He was waiting for the perfect moment before he would start his research but till then. He's mind has to remain blank and empty.

His heart wasn't empty, it was filled with immense anger and he felt hurt by what Clarissa did, this time they had crossed the line. They had taken his quietness for granted.

Isabella had gone out to work and she left some food for him to eat.

Sebastian stood up and began pacing round the room, trying to find something to interest him.

There was nothing, not even a photo.

"What kind of person doesn't even have a photo of herself or her family?" He thought and sat back down on the couch and closed his eyes.

FLASHBACK..

Sebastian looked around in slight panic as the chopper tilted to the side. He immediately removed the headphones, with struggle he made his way to the pilot and found his face on the wheels. Sleeping.

"WHAT?!! Sebastian's eyes widened beyond measure.

"You have to tell him". Lucas's words rang in his ears.

He hurriedly took off his neck chain and wore it on the pilot man.

The chopper exploded.

BACK TO PRESENT

Sebastian snapped out of his thoughts as the door opened.

Isabella came in looking tired, very tired. The bags under her eyes were visible. She closed the door and turned to Sebastian who was staring at her.

"Oh.. You're here". She mumbled and brushed her hair back.

"Have you eaten yet?" She asked but got no reply.

Sebastian averted his gaze away from her.

Isabella bit her lip. Before she could say anything, a knock sounded on the door and Isabella turned.

"Wh... who is it?" She asked

"Miss Bella open up". It was Mason's.

Isabella opened the door to see the little boy who held out his school report card with a proud smile.

"I aced the exam Miss Bella". He said and gave Isabella the card.

Isabella squatted to his level.

She smiled as she read through it. "You're amazing really, I told you you could do it". She ruffled his hair and Mason giggled.

Sebastian quietly watched them from where he was seated.

Isabella leaned in and gave Mason a peck on the cheek. The boy beamed with pride and his cheeks turned red.

"Good job baby Mason". Isabella smiled at him.

Mason puffed his chest proudly. "Of course, I'm a genius after all. Needless to say, I didn't do it for you though". He said and looked away.

Isabella laughed. "You're so cute really. Hey, is your mom home?" She asked

Mason nodded and then whispered. "I haven't showed her yet".

"Why didn't you show her first"? Isabella whispered back

"I wanted you to be the first to know". Mason pouted.

"Don't tell her I showed it to you first, she'll throw a fit about her being my mother again". Mason said as he made air quotes with his fingers.

Isabella couldn't help but chuckle. "You're great Mason. Your mom... She paused. "Your mom is really lucky to have you". She said with a smile.

Mason smiled back. "Gotta run. See ya later Miss Bella". He waved as he ran to his home.

Isabella waved back and slowly closed the door. She released a shaky breath, her eyes were already glassy.

"Yeah. Mrs. Ferdinand is really lucky to have Mason. Unlike her..."

She covered her mouth to stop herself from whimpering and that was when she noticed Sebastian was still there.

All this while, Sebastian had been studying her quietly.

Isabella blinked back the threatening tears that were about to fall. She steadied her voice as she said..

"Have you.. have you taken your meds yet? She asked

Sebastian remained quiet, just staring at her blankly. Without saying anything, he stood up and walked to the kitchen.

Isabella remained standing on the spot, with a sigh she went to her room to get changed for her next shift.

By the time she was done and came back to the living room, she met Sebastian eating quietly.

"I'll be going out now." She said

Sebastian only acknowledged her with a nod.

Isabella went out.

Sebastian continued eating but then suddenly stopped, his eyes moved to the door as he thought back.

He sat up and dropped the spoon he was holding. It suddenly dawned on him that the girl was always talking to him casually and acted like she didn't know his status and worth.

Sebastian frowned. "Why was she acting? "
