SAVE THE BILLIONAIRE

Life was unfair. Hard, lonely, dark. But even still, Isabella learned to smile, she learned to hide her pain, dissatisfaction, her fears and her secret as well. Isabella practically grew up alone cause nobody wanted her. She was casted out by her own family and was sent to the orphanage, were she ran away from to start a new life for herself. Living behind her painful past. Seated on the shore by the ocean as she watched the waves crash beautifully against each other, as she felt the cool breeze on her skin, Isabella thought of what it would be like if her life would ever have a change. It did change. It changed on that cold chilly night when she first saw him......

RESCUE

• B PROVINCE •

Isabella was currently on her second shift which was at the library.

The door opened and three guys came in, they seem to be laughing at something but they stopped when they saw Isabella.

One of the guys whose name is Nelson called her.

"Hey Isa". He waved cheerfully.

Isabella waved back. "Hi Nel".

"Wow, how long has it been. Three days?" Nelson settled beside her and she laughed.

"Hey guys". She waved at the other two guys who nodded at her before going to check out what's new in the shelves.

Isabella turned to Nelson. "Five days". She corrected.

"Yeah, I think it's because of the exams. Jeez I hate school". Nelson grimaced

Isabella chuckled. "Stop being such a brat Nel, at least you have the privilege of schooling". She said as she pushed the cart full of books.

Nelson's face turned apologetic. "Oh sorry Isa, I didn't mean to..."

"It's alright". Isabella gave him a smile and he relaxed.

Silence followed and Isabella cleared her throat.

"Here for your comic books again?" She asked

"Ahh yeah. I'm kinda bored at home". Nelson said.

He called to his other friends. "Hey guys, found it yet?" He asked

"Yeah". One replied.

They all gathered together including Isabella.

Jacob and Jason were Nelson's other friends and they were twins.

The guy Jason was more petite and the shy type, while Jacob was the wild type.

"Yo Isa, you're looking more beautiful". Jacob flattered and Isabella blushed.

"Oh stop it Jacob". She muttered shyly

"What, I'm serious really. Come on, just marry me already". Jacob said and they laughed.

Isabella giggled as she said. "You're 19 Jacob".

"Screw that, haven't you heard the term 'Age is just a number?"

Nelson chuckled arrogantly. "Stop teasing Isa. She's promise to marry me instead".

All eyes turned to him and he flinched.

"When did I promise you that?" Isabella asked with a brow raised.

"Exactly Nelson, tell us when". It was Jason who spoke this time

"I think dude is forgetting his also nineteen". Jacob laughed.

Nelson pouted. "You guys are ganging up on me".

Jason looked at his watch. "We gotta go guys, we've got class".

Jacob and Nelson groaned as they turn to leave.

"Bye Isa". They waved and she waved back with a smile.

Isabella continued with her work, keeping each book in their rightful shelf.

By the time Isabella was through with her day's work, it was already past nine in the evening.

With nowhere else in mind to go apart from home, she turned and went towards the sea shore.

B CITY •

BACK in B City, Harper wasn't satisfied with what he heard from Lucas. He ignored dinner and went up to his study with Lucas trailing behind him.

They got to the study and Harper sat down. Lucas remained standing.

"So, what's this you're saying young man?" Harper asked

Lucas repeated what he said earlier. "Sebastian hasn't answered any of my calls or messages".

"Why? I mean, it's been close to ten hours now". He should have landed by how. Harper said

"Sir, I'd advice you don't stress yourself over these things. You know how Sebastian can get, maybe his busy or something". Lucas tried to calm the old man

Harper inhaled deeply and then exhaled. "Keep calling him, and call Mr. Jones". He said

Lucas bowed and went out.

Harper brought out his phone and dialed Sebastian's number. Still no answer.

He sighed dejectedly. "What's that boy up to now". He Mumbled as he tried the number again.

The door opened and Daphne stepped in with a worried look.

"Why didn't you eat dinner?" She asked but Harper's mind was elsewhere.

Daphne moved closer to him and tapped his shoulder.

"Are you okay, you looked stressed". She said

Harper sighed, he shouldn't just jump into conclusions yet. Like Lucas had said, there might be a reason why Sebastian didn't answer his calls. He looked at Daphne and smiled faintly.

"I'm fine. I just don't have the appetite". He said, which was true.

Daphne studied him for a while before asking;

"Should I get your meds?"

Harper nodded. "Please do". He said

Daphne opened the cupboard and brought out a bottled, she got a mini cup and poured the liquid medicine into the cup. She gave it to Harper.

Harper took the cup and gulped it down at once making Daphne worry even more.

"Hey slow down". She cautioned

Harper dropped the cup and faced her. He smiled at her, his wrinkles stretching as he did.

• B PROVINCE •

One by one, the people by the shores left. Most of them were young couples, friends or families.

Soon enough, the shore was deserted leaving just Isabella who sat on the sand.

She watched as the waves crash beautifully against each other, the sounds of the seagulls echoed in her ear and also the sound of the cool wind.

Her hair flowed behind her as she stared ahead, memories came pouring. And a tear dropped on the back of her palm, another one followed and soon she began to cry.

Yes, that's the only thing she could do. She's too weak to take on anybody, too weak to make the people who made her life miserable pay.

She wrapped her arms around her, and buried her face on her probed knee.

As she sat there crying, Isabella wondered what it would be like if her life would ever change, if she could do it.

The waves crashed again, spraying water on her. Isabella cleaned her tears and stood up to leave. She took off her shoes and held them in her hand, she began walking barefooted.

She was busy enjoying the feel of the sand under her feet and that's when she noticed a moving figure on a rock close to the sea. She stopped.

The figure moved again and Isabella began to panic. She looked around and saw that she was the only one there, she picked a rock with both hands and she raised it.

"Who's there?" She demanded

Silence.

Isabella brave and stupid, moved closer carefully.

"Wh.. who's there?" Her voice trembled this time but what she saw made her drop the rock as she ran to the figure.

She gasped. "Wh..what happened to you?" She cradled the figures head on her lap and that's when she saw blood.

Her face went white with shock as she froze. Memories came pouring back into her head.

"B..blood. blood, someone help". She screamed but her tiny voice didn't go far.

"H..he... help me". The figure rasped and his hand went limp.

Isabella looked around fearfully, she didn't know what to do.

She crossed her bag over her shoulder and stood up, making sure not to drop him.

Slowly she raised the figure and placed him on her back, she almost fell because of the weight but she steadied herself.

"So.. heavy". She strained as she walked, the guys leg dragging behind.

There was no one in sight to help her so Isabella tried to hasten her step.

....

After much difficulties, falling and tripping over with a man mountain on her back, they finally reached Isabella's house and she opened the door.

As soon as the door opened, they both fell on the floor. Isabella groaned as she sat up trying to regain her breath.

She stood up and locked the door then turned to the guy on the floor. She immediately rushed into her room and got the first aid kit.

She knelt beside him and gently took of his clothes, her cheek turned red.

Being a shy, innocent loner. Isabella didn't associate much with guys. Talk less of seeing their packs.

She cleared her throat. "Sorry about this". She said as though he could hear her.

She began her treatment.
