9 The art of Fuinjutsu: Flying Thunder God
Now along with my medical ninjutsu I was forced to learn Fuinjutsu. It was a necessity to set up the Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique so it wasn't a shock I had to learn it.
Now this, this I could do. Honestly I may be the worlds most advanced Fuinjutsu master already… in theory…If you forget the fact I don't have sufficient chakra…this is 100% true. Don't doubt me. Any who why you ask?
Fuinjutsu is a programming language.
Confused?
"Fuinjutsu are a type of jutsu that seal objects, living beings, chakra, along with a wide variety of other things within another object. Fuinjutsu can also be used to restrict movement or unseal objects either from within something or someone."
That's the by the book definition. Now how does it do this?
"The presence of a seal is marked by the appearance of formations of technique formulae, kanji, or other kinds of symbols (likewise with Summoning Techniques)."
In layman terms it's applying a coding language into the chakra and then imbuing the chakra into your desired item, person, or location. This is the sealing portion. What it does with the sealed chakra is called the technique formulae. This portion is dictated by word intent and interpretation. These two things are what form the concept of Fuinjutsu.
In essence Fuinjutsu is merely a combination of a conditional and a command language.
For example your generic exploding tag contains the command explode. Followed by the condition of explode in X amount of seconds after activation. Activate with X chakra signature. Deactivate with X chakra signature. If damaged activate explosion. Etc. With more advanced Fuinjutsu more formulae are used to set conditions to not harm the user aka redundancies ie when you use Summon you don't want to summon just half of the contracted animal and kill them instantly right? It's possible to reduce the length by instilling the correct word intent and interpreting the formulae set in the desired way.
Now if Fuinjutsu is used to seal things how does that work? Well you're sealing the explosion into the tag or intended jutsu. [Kisame and various other characters have sealed their own jutsus via the enclosing jutsu into a scroll and released it in combat] Hence why it's the command language.
The technique formulae is the accompanying set of conditions to unseal the explosion and guide the explosion. Hence it being the conditional language. Ie unseal the explosion in such and such direction when triggered.
That's what constitutes the basis behind the Fuinjutsu used to create an explosion tag.
So why am I a self proclaimed master of Fuinjutsu?
Word intent and interpretation. While this world was operating like a DUB it doesn't mean they have a mastery of the English language or many other languages or glyphs for that matter which can limit their creativity and application of Fuinjutsu.
My future signature jutsu would be the best way to explain this. I think you might have guessed it, Flying Thunder God!
Why? because well I'm not an idiot, that shit is extremely overpowered and super convenient.
So how does it work? The technique formula is key and you also have to be a sensor ninja.
Minato's formula is a mere 4 kanji likely since it's based on Uzumaki Fuinjutsu. While Tobirama's formula is a far more complex random assortment of Kanji, Hindi script, and other symbols.
The technique formula contains their intent for the formula and form their own version of the Thunder God technique. They both call this a mark. [AKA Fuinjutsu] Theoretically they are both the same but in application they are different.
Should my deductions be correct the part they share is that each mark has a unique version of the summoning technique used in animal summons that identifies the user as an anchor/ beacon.
Then they start to differ because the user in turn makes the mark itself act as a beacon for the individual creator by using their chakra signature that was imbued into the formula as a medium.
The formulae also contains their own version of the void they are being transported through.
When the user activates the flying thunder god jutsu they are really just activating the summoning jutsu contained in their mark and summoning themselves at the mark location.
In the end it's just setting a contract between you and your personal mark to perform the summoning technique on yourself with your chakra signature as a medium. To pull this off though you have to be a sensor type ninja so you are able to identify your own chakra signature set in the mark.
To elaborate:
When Shinobi are performing animal summons the command is summon which allows them to pull an animal through a personalized void and to themselves. The formulae has the conditions of:
1. summon contracted animal to this location
2. for X amount of time or if they want to be un summoned
3. Amount of chakra provided can summon X animal if they consent.
4. Contractors blood has to be used as a medium.
So when summoning an animal from mount Myoboku or other summoning areas the summoning scroll acts as a link between the contracted parties. The summoner by accepting the contract sets their blood as a medium and accepts the conditions of overall use of the summoning jutsu. In turn the contractor becomes an anchor for the summoning jutsu using their blood as a beacon/ anchor, and by channeling the jutsu to their hand they can then set the summoning location by touch. The summoner can then dictate what summon is pulled from mount Myoboku by providing the appropriate amount of chakra required for the desired summon. Hinging on their consent.
The reverse summoning technique used by animals on the other hand only has summon as the command and bring contractor to this location as the condition along with the redundancies necessary, this is apparently not very chakra exhausting to pull off for them or require consent. While called reverse summoning it's really just a summoning jutsu.
For a better visualization Fukasaku "reverse"summons Naruto to train him on acquiring sage mode without breaking a sweat. The reason he can do this is because Naruto signed a contract and became an anchor/beacon for the toads of mount Myoboku where they can be summoned to, in turn with the "reverse" summoning jutsu Fukasaku is simply pulling the anchor/beacon to himself through the link established by the summoning contract. Hence why the "reverse" summoning is permanent and doesn't just send Naruto back after a certain amount of time, as opposed to a human summoner that operates on a time limit and several conditions established by the summoning contract.
In truth the Summoning contract heavily favors the summoned animal should they be intelligent because they set the conditions. Not all summoning contracts are the same though which more or less proves my conjecture like the summoning contract that is used by my ideal partner Shiromari which has no time limit or Shisuis/ Itachis crow and various other non intelligent summons.
In truth a summoned animal could use something similar to Flying Thunder Gods teleportation by having the summoner summon them to point A then have the summoner move 5m away and again perform the summoning jutsu. Tadah short range animal teleportation! Obviously it's a stupid idea and use of chakra, but possible to do should you be an idiot or your summon is ridiculously slow. It can also be done by using multiple contractors. Ie Jiraya summons Gamabunta at point A then Naruto summons him again at point B. Again not really a useful application of chakra since he can probably jump from one to the other but again possible.
Now all of that said you're probably wondering how a little nobody like me plans to pull this off.
After six months of testing various marks on my mystic palm training fish. I had done it! [Tsunade brought them to my new house aka the library, 6 months in to my medical training]
Well my mark is fairly decent if I say so myself. Minatos mark uses Uzumaki Fuinjutsu that seems to be able to contain more intent and interpretations in their formulae used for Fuinjutsu. Tobiramas seems to be extremely detailed in the conditions and redundancies for his seal and his uses the non Uzumaki Fuinjutsu formulae.
As someone that knows several languages and has more than one interpretation of a word, my word intent is stronger than most. So my mark is limited to six kanji. The drawback? I can barely use it.
I have low chakra reserves. They've gotten better since my time spent learning here but The Thunder God chakra consumption is based on transporting the user and anything his chakra touches clothes, weapons, other people etc. and you can be selective with what actually teleports.
So should I decide to teleport myself butt naked it would be less chakra consuming then if I go completely decked out. I just couldn't bring myself to go butt naked. So the day I decided to finally test my mark I figured I had enough chakra for one test because apart from the jutsu I also had to have my Byakugan active to find my chakra signature. I didn't seem to be a sensor-nin like Minato and Tobirama but I had a cheat!
As I was setting my mark directly outside the library and in the hall, the damndest thing happened.
