-Some time later-

After lunch was over I spent some more time with the three Slytherin girls, and the four of us spent the afternoon break in the school library, which was a quiet place with few people, which meant we could talk peacefully without interruptions.

And when the break was over we had to split up, since the afternoon classes were going to start and this time we would have different classes.

And after I said goodbye to the girls they went to their classes, with Daphne and Lily heading towards the greenhouses for an Herbology class, while Astoria went to the History of Magic classroom, a class she wasn't excited about taking.

What about me? Well, at this moment I was on the third floor heading towards the Charms classroom, and I was still a bit far from the classroom, but I could already feel the magic of my Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff friends in the classroom preparing for class.

'Hmm, there are 3 minutes left until class starts, and from what I can feel Professor Flitwick hasn't arrived in the classroom yet' I thought as I felt everything around me with my senses.

'I still have time and I know I won't be late for class, but just in case, I think I'd better take the shortcut that is in the secret passage of the copper knight.'

And with a decision made I continued walking, moving forward before turning left into a corridor.

But as soon as I entered this corridor I felt the magical signature of Barty Crouch Junior a little further ahead coming towards me.

'Damn, just the person I'm trying to avoid as much as possible' I grimaced.

Sometimes I would skip his DADA classes using the excuse that I was a champion and had to train for the Tri-Wizard Tournament, but since I still wanted to keep my grades up I attended some classes.

And in those classes I was forced to endure Barty Junior's stares at me, having to ignore any discomfort I felt.

And I thought that outside of the DADA classroom I wouldn't have to worry about him any more than necessary, and I could then walk around the castle peacefully.

However, it seemed like I wouldn't be able to avoid the crazy Death Eater completely, even though the castle was huge, with several floors full of corridors and rooms.

'He must be going somewhere, so if I walk past him without trying to draw too much attention maybe he'll just ignore me' I thought, seeing the dark wizard with Moody's appearance appearing in the corridor a little further away.

And then, with a sigh and hoping that Fake Moody wouldn't notice it was me, I kept walking, trying to make myself as inconspicuous as possible.

And after a few more steps I finally reached False Moody's side, but I just nodded slightly at him and walked forward, passing him.

'Sigh... Everything worked out' I thought in relief, feeling my shoulders relax.

"Mr. Night" but then Fake Moody called me, ending all my hopes.

'Damn, I celebrated too early' I mentally cursed, stopping as soon as he called my name.

And with my back to him I began to wonder if I should turn around or if I should just ignore him and keep walking.

However, I knew it would be very suspicious if I ignored his call, especially since he was a teacher and I had obviously heard him calling me.

And realizing that I didn't really have much of a choice I sighed, before turning to him with a forced smile on my face.

"Good afternoon Professor Moody," I said.

And now that I was facing the impostor I realized that he was staring at me, and even his magical eye that normally rotated non-stop was fixed on me.

And it made me completely uncomfortable, but I didn't let it show on my face.

"How are you, son?" Fake Moody asked me, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Err... I'm fine" I replied.

"Good," he said, looking pleased, "You always need to remember to take care of your health, since you have many challenges ahead of you."

And when he said that I looked at him cautiously, not knowing if he was talking about the Tri-Wizard tournament or something else.

"And speaking of challenges, have you started your training for the third task of the tournament yet?" he asked me, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes," I replied slowly and carefully, "I have already started my training."

"Hmm," he nodded, and there was a glint of interest in his eyes.

'What could be going on in his head?' I asked myself, a little worried.

And without knowing my thoughts, False Moody continued to speak.

"You know, if you ever need help training or if you want me to teach you a few things I learned from my Auror days, you just have to ask," he said.

"Huh?" I blinked in surprise, "Are you offering to teach me privately?"

"Well, according to the tournament rules, teachers are forbidden from giving private lessons to the champions, but in that case I would just be giving you some small tips." Fake Moody smiled maliciously.

"Uh... Oh... Okay, I'll think about it," I said, not quite knowing how to react to his sudden generosity.

"Great, once you've made up your mind you can come find me in my office," he nodded.

And he seemed very sure that I would accept his help, which made me purse my lips.

'I'd rather ask Snape or even Professor Trelawney for help,' I thought.

"But well, I still have some seventh years brats to teach, and I know you have class now, so I think we should end this conversation here," he said, and I couldn't be happier to agree with him.

And wanting to end this conversation and get away from him as quickly as possible, I nodded, "Oh yes, I have Charms class now, and I don't want to be late and make Professor Flitwick angry,"

"Yeah, you don't want to see him angry," Fake Moody snorted, and I could feel real fear coming from him.

And it made me wonder if Barty Junior faced Professor Flitwick in combat at some point before he was imprisoned in Azkaban.

"Well, I'll be going then," he said, bringing my attention back to him, "I'll await your response to my offer, and don't forget Mr. Night… Constant Vigilance!"

And after saying that, the Fake Moody then turned to leave, and as he walked away with his wooden leg hitting the ground making a metallic noise, I stared at his back.

And I only stopped looking at him when he disappeared around the bend at the end of the corridor.

And as soon as I felt that I was alone in the corridor I relaxed, feeling all the tension and stress leave my body.

"Man, that was really weird... weird and uncomfortable" I said out loud.

I couldn't understand why Barty Junior was so fixated on me, especially because I'm a muggleborn, someone he should hate and feel disgusted by.

And now that he offered to help me train my confusion only increased, and not just because it was strange that he was doing this when he was supposed to be a fanatical and prejudiced supremacist.

The main reason for my confusion was the plan to bring the Dark Lord Voldemort back.

To resurrect Voldemort, Harry needed to be teleported to the Little Hangleton graveyard, and for that to happen he needed to touch the cup at the end of the maze.

And that's why I would have understood if Barty Junior had made this offer of help to Harry, since he needed the green-eyed boy to do very well in the tournament so that the plan to resurrect his master would work.

Furthermore, everyone knew that I was the most powerful and strongest competitor in the tournament, and I also had the highest score among the champions, which would give me an advantage when the third task began.

And Barty Junior knew this, and so it didn't make sense for him to want to help me, since that would decrease Harry's chances of reaching the cup before me.

And all this made me very confused, worried and cautious, and I was sure that Barty Junior was planning something, and I was even more sure that it would not be good for me.

"What on earth is that crazy, chaotic head of yours up to, Barty Crouch Junior?" I muttered, narrowing my eyes.

I wasn't enjoying this feeling of not knowing what was happening and not having the situation under my control.

And because of that I decided it was time for me to talk to Nyx to see if she discovered anything or if she had any new information to tell me.

And if she doesn't know what Barty Junior is planning either, then I'll have to increase my surveillance on him, keeping him under close observation.

End.
