Yeah! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All my classmates and Moody were still silent, waiting for me to continue, and seeing that I had no other choice I continued my rather detailed explanation of the Unforgivable Curses.

"When we talk about intentions in spells they have to have a balance between intention, imagination and power, but when it comes to curses that's not necessary" I started to speak.

"Curses, unlike common spells, can be cast using only the witch or wizard's intent, and this is the case with Unforgivables, as the intent in them has to be simple and focused"

"The Imperius Curse, which we just saw, is a spell that binds and corrupts the minds of living beings, subjugating their consciousness, and its intention is just that... total control"

"The Cruciatus Curse is a spell that inflicts extreme pain by injuring and causing irreparable damage to the body, with a focus on the target's suffering and the caster's sadistic satisfaction."

"And lastly, the Killing Curse, which destroys the life and magic of whoever is hit by it, something, which, as I said before, is considered by many or almost everyone to be a revolting and disgusting act of going against the laws of magic and life"

"Now do you understand why these three curses are so bad in the eyes of the law and everyone else, and why they are the only Unforgivable?" I asked my colleagues, looking around, seeing everyone's minds working quickly to absorb this new information.

I knew that I said more than I should about the Unforgivables, and that probably after processing what I said, my colleagues would start to find it strange that I had all this knowledge, which not even some adults or dark wizards have.

And I knew that because of this they'd start to suspect me just like they would have done Harry in his second year if he'd revealed he knew Parseltongue, and the way gossip swirls around the school, it wouldn't be long before the entire castle started calling me a dark wizard in training.

But I didn't care much about that.

And the reason for that is that I had already made friends with many of my colleagues, from all houses and years, so only the rest would have something to say, and even they could be convinced that I wasn't evil by my friends.

And that's the same case with the teachers, who for the most part liked me.

And actually all of this was planned.

I already knew that at some point when I started to show my magic skills, people would suspected that I might be getting involved with dark magic, and that's why since my first year I started to make friends with everyone.

It could be said that I formed friendships with my colleagues out of interest and as a way of influencing my remaining colleagues through them, and this is true to a certain extent.

However, I really consider all of them my true friends, mainly because I can feel with my empath skills their true intentions and feelings, and they all seem to be genuine friends.

So in a way I'm not using them, I'm just trusting my friends to see the truth of the situation and not judge me.

And as all these thoughts raced through my mind, Moody, who had been quiet since the beginning of my explanation, started clapping his hands, and I could feel the surprise and admiration coming from him, even if he didn't want to.

"Good! That was a great explanation!" he said genuinely, showing a satisfied expression, "You've covered all the points and brought a little-known point of view on these curses... I'm really starting to enjoy having you as a student"

And by the way he spoke and his emotions I could tell that this phrase came from both Barty and 'Moody'.

'Great, I've just impressed Voldemort's second most fanatical Death Eater' I thought, not knowing if that was something to be proud of or worried about.

After Moody finished speaking he turned around, picking up another spider from another jar, throwing it unceremoniously onto the desk, casting an {Engorgio} on it to increase its size.

And when the spider reached the size of an apple Moody pointed his wand at it again.

"{Crucio}!" he said, taking everyone by surprise when the spider on his desk began to writhe, landing on its back as its legs buckled, appearing to be in agony and deep pain.

And again, just like with the Imperius Curse, I felt the same vile, dark feeling that I had felt before.

Everyone watched in silence as the spider writhed, amazed and terrified by the scene.

And Barty, who was known to be a cruel sadist with a preference for the Cruciatus Curse, showed incredible self-control, as he let the spider writhe for just a few more seconds before lifting the curse.

The spider was lying on the desk, but we could all tell it was alive.

But that changed, as Moody didn't even give it time to recover before casting another curse on it, sealing her end.

"{Avada Kedavra}!" he bellowed, and a sickly, familiar emerald green light shot from the tip of his wand, momentarily illuminating the room.

And after that, as if it were a puppet that had its strings cut, the spider stopped completely, completely ceasing its movements and breathing.

And with my Magic Vision I could see its spark of life and magic fading away.

And what followed after that was a tense silence, which after a few seconds was broken by Moody himself.

"As you could see, those were the other two Unforgivable Curses... The Cruciatus Curse which causes extreme and agonizing pain to the target, and the Killing Curse, with no existing counter-curse and impossible to block, instantly taking the life of anyone who gets hit by it" he said, turning to us after putting the dead spider back in its jar.

"I guess I don't need to tell you how horrible being hit by them must be, right?"

And seeing the students shake their heads, he nodded in satisfaction.

"But that's exactly why you're taking classes with me. I'm not here to teach you how to cast these curses, I'm here to make you understand these curses, get to know them, and then I'm going to teach you how to defend yourself them. And for that you'll need to stay alert. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" he yelled, again startling everyone.

"Now let's go! Get your quills and parchments and start taking notes, I only have one year to cram as much knowledge and experience into your heads!"

And after saying that, the students managed to recover enough to be able to go back to writing, with everyone writing down everything they learned in this class, not knowing when or if this knowledge would be necessary.

And I also started writing down on my parchment, listening to Moody's every word as he continued to tell us about ways to avoid being hit by curses.

However, I could feel a few eyes on me, with most coming from the Slytherins, but the most uncomfortable look came from Moody.

'Sigh... This is going to suck'

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Moody's class ended, he quickly left the room, and I could sense that he was in a hurry, and I could only assume that the polyjuice potion in his hip flask was running low, and that he'd left to refill it.

As soon as he left the classroom all the students immediately got up, starting to talk about the lesson they just had, some impressed with Moody's teaching and the demonstration of curses, and others tense and scared by the scenes they saw.

And I, who wasn't in the mood to talk about the lesson, about the Unforgivables, about how awesome Moody was, or about how I know so much about curses, started heading straight to my next class which was Potions.

Before, I was a bit expectant with my first DADA class as I would see the Unforgivables being cast without being in a life or death situation in a battle, but after the class I realized that this lesson was not so good.

The curses demonstration was interesting and Moody really knows how to keep the students entertained, but the feeling I got from being around a dark wizard casting curses made me sick.

And I'm sure that if the next DADA lessons are like this one, I won't be able to keep calm, as the sensation of dark magic was irritating my senses, both physical and magical.

'Sigh... I just hope Moody teaches us about less dark spells and curses in the next classes' I thought, knowing that the chances of that happening were slim.

Shaking my head and trying to ignore the voices of my classmates around me, I frowned, feeling a slight headache.

'Well, if the next lessons are as... intense as today's, I'll have to find a way to skip DADA classes'

'But if I can't do that I think I'll have to endure and suffer with these classes until I'm named Hogwarts champion, because at that point I won't need to attend all the classes', I reflected, remembering one of the rules that said that champions they could skip classes to study and train for tournament tasks.

And while I was thinking about that I ended up arriving in front of the Potions classroom in the dungeons, seeing that the Hufflepuffs were waiting for us.

'Well, I'll think about the DADA classes later. I currently have other matters to concentrate on' I thought, nodding to myself and walking into the classroom.

End.
