As soon as I stepped onto the platform I could feel the cool night air wash over me, but I barely felt anything thanks to the warming enchantment I had on my clothes.

'Sigh, it was totally worth spending a few more Galleons on these enchantments' I sighed in satisfaction.

"First years! First year students here!" shouted a booming voice.

And looking in the direction of the voice, I saw the gamekeeper and the franchise's favorite half-giant Rubeus Hagrid calling out to the freshmen. And the closer I got to him, the more I realized how big he was.

'Now that's a big motherfu—'

"Come on," Hagrid continued calling, "Is everyone here? Excellent! First years, follow me!" as he led us up a steep path to the boats.

As we reached the shore of the lake, Hagrid then turned to us and shouted in his deep voice, "Only four per boat!" pointing to a row of boats parked on the water.

I then got into a boat further back followed by Davis and Greengrass, and the last place was filled by a thin blond boy with a snub nose who waved at us as he sat down.

"All accommodated?" asked Hagrid, who had his own boat, and after seeing that everyone was in place, the boats began to sail across the lake.

After a moment of navigating, we came to a curve covered by a curtain of ivy.

"Be careful with the head!" shouted Hagrid.

As we passed through the ivy curtain, we then came across Hogwarts Castle in its splendor.

"Oooooooh!" echoed the voices of the awed students.

'The view of the castle is really amazing, even more so for a fan of the franchise, who can see it in person' I thought looking amazed as we continued to head towards the castle.

As soon as we reached the end of the boat trip, we landed on the castle shore, and from there Hagrid led us to a huge oak door, where he raised his gigantic fist and knocked three times.

The door was then opened by Professor McGonagall, who looked at us with her stern gaze and rigid appearance, and when her gaze came to me, I gave her a little nod of my head with a small smile, which she returned and let out a own smile, but barely noticeable.

Professor McGonagall then began leading us to a hallway that was close to the Great Hall. After we stopped, she turned to us and gave a speech about Hogwarts and its houses, and how they will be our families for the rest of our years here.

"The classification ceremony will be held in a few minutes. I suggest you get ready properly while –" Professor McGonagall started to say, looking at each student until she stopped abruptly.

"Sirs, what is this?!" she asked grimly, looking at a trio of quirky students who were at the back of the group of students, and that trio is obviously Malfoy and his bodyguards, who were still under the effect of my prank.

The students then turned in the direction Professor McGonagall was looking, and when they first noticed Malfoy's group, their eyes widened in surprise and began to laugh.

"Hahahahahaha!"

"He looks like a troll"

"Look at the face of that one!"

"Isn't that Malfoy?"

"Look Weasley, your lost twin! Haha ha"

Malfoy, who saw everyone laughing at him, started to turn red with embarrassment, and over Professor McGonagall's stern look said something in a low tone.

"Speak up, Mr. Malfoy!"

"I said we went bewitched!" he said in a near scream, turning redder still.

"Have you been bewitched? And why didn't you ask an older student to remove the spell?" Professor McGonagall asked with furrowed brows.

"I asked, but they couldn't?" said Malfoy with his head bowed.

"They didn't make it?" Professor McGonagall questioned with a raised eyebrow. "Hmm! Let me try!" she said, walking towards Malfoy.

Arriving in front of Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle, Professor McGonagall pointed her wand at them and cast a counterspell, only to have nothing happen. Looking at them with a frown, she waves her wand again, but with more power and concentration, and this time it worked, and Malfoy and his henchmen began to revert to their normal self.

"Now that it's settled, you wait for me here, in silence," said Professor McGonagall heading towards the Great Hall.

"Ah! And Mr Malfoy, I hope something like this doesn't happen again" she said as she stopped at a bend, looking over her glasses at Malfoy who blushed in shame. She then turned and continued on her way to the Great Hall.

And while all this was going on, no one noticed my smirk.

The rest of the wait took place just like in the books, with the kids arguing about how they would be classified and the Hogwarts ghost apparition arguing about Peeves. And right after that, Professor McGonagall arrived and started to lead us into the Great Hall.

The Great Hall was lit by thousands of floating candles, and its ceiling was like a starry sky, and I could hear Hermione talking about it being enchanted to look like sky and that she read it at Hogwarts, a history.

Looking across the Great Hall I could see the four tables of the houses, where the other students and ghosts were sitting and looking at us. At the far end of the room was a long table where the teachers sat.

I then saw Professor McGonagall bring a stool, and on top of that stool she placed a dirty and patched wizard's hat. After he was placed there, all the students were silent and paid attention to the hat.

And me trying to control my moment of fanboyism by seeing the iconic Sorting Hat.

'Wait… can he see the memories of my past life?'

As I nervously questioned myself, the Sorting Hat started to stir, and a tear appeared in the flap like a mouth and he started singing the Hogwarts song, and when he finished singing the entire hall burst into applause.

Professor McGonagall then came forward holding a large roll of parchment.

"When I call your name, you will turn and sit on this stool and I will put the hat on your heads. You will then be selected for a house and will be seated at the corresponding table" said Professor McGonagall to us.

"Abbott, Hannah!"

I then saw a short, awkward girl with pink face and blond hair in braids climb onto the stool, the teacher then put her hat on her head, and after a few moments we heard him yell into the Great Hall.

"HUFFLEPUFF!"

The tables then applauded, especially the Hufflepuff table. And after descending from the stool, the girl Hannah walked to the badger table amidst the welcome.

Professor McGonagall then continued with the classification by calling another name.

"Bones, Susan!"

End.
