Sup ladys and gentlemen! Here's the new chapter!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Waking up the next day with Nyx lying on my lap, I sat on my bed and started to think.

Now that I'm at school I might try to get Fawkes to deliver the letter to the Flamels, but that's something I don't need to rush into... Well, actually I do, as I don't know how much time the Flamels have left to live, but this isn't as urgent a matter as the other matters I have to deal with.

Now what was giving me a headache is the fact that I don't know how I'm going to kill the basilisk without the Gryffindor's sword and a plot armor.

I could try to use a crowing of a rooster, but this seems like such a ridiculous way to kill a deadly millenary creature that I doubt it will even work.

'Sigh, now I really wish I had learned the Killing Curse, at least this spell would give me more chances to kill this damn snake' I thought.

"Meow!" I heard Nyx meow, and I saw that she was staring at me with curiosity and even concern.

"Don't worry girl, I'm just thinking about a few things" I said caressing her, who purred satisfied, "Sigh, I think I better get up"

And with that said, I put Nyx back on the bed and got up to change into my uniform.

I usually get up early to train, but this time i woke up early because i wish i had time to prepare a prank in lockhart's office, and as for why I'm going to put a prank in his office, well... I'm just doing this because I can and I want.

'If he wants to blame someone, blame that annoying smile he has' I thought with a shrug.

-Great Hall – Breakfast-

"Where did you get that history book? I thought it was limited edition" Michael asked me, holding a green and brown book in his hands.

"I bought it at a wizarding bookshop in France on my vacation," I lied, as I had picked up this book from the Room of Hidden Things, and I obviously wasn't going to say that.

"Really? So I guess I'll try to order a book from there, do you remember the name of the bookshop?"

"Oh well, I don't really remember the name and…" I started to say, but then I felt someone nudge me with their elbow.

"Hey Ethan, isn't that a Howler in front of Weasley?" Terry, who was nudging me with his elbow, said, pointing to the Gryffindor table.

I then turned around and saw that indeed, on the Gryffindor table in front of Ron was a very noticeable red envelope.

"Oh crap," I muttered unconsciously, and I think I said the same thing that was going through Ron's mind, judging by his expression.

The Howler in front of him then opened, and with a crash, an angry voice rang out from the envelope which began to float.

The angry voice was obviously Mrs. Weasley, where she was complaining about Ron taking Mr. Weasley's car borrowed to go to Hogwarts and how he was seen by muggles while flying over London.

Before the letter could continue, I discreetly cast a low-powered explosive spell that destroyed him.

Even though I thought this scene a bit funny in both the book and the movie, I still think neither Ron nor Harry deserve the humiliation that comes with it, especially now that we can say we're friends.

...

...

"Well... That was..." Stephen started.

"Embarrassing?" Michael broke up for him, and if even he realized that sending a Howler was extreme, then it really is extreme.

"Look on the bright side, at least his Howler ended fast" Anthony said, a fearful look on his face.

"True" Terry agreed, also with the same look.

"Um... Have you two by any chance received a Howler before?" I asked curiously, and they both responded by lowering their heads.

"I didn't know that vase was Mom's favorite," Terry said, dejectingly poking the steak on his plate with his fork.

"Having a big brother isn't always a good thing," Anthony muttered.

Seeing the two of them talking about their embarrassing moments, I couldn't help but remember my moments.

'At least your mom never went to a party where you were with your friends to pick you up after you didn't answer 15 phone calls from her' I thought, now also looking at my plate with dismay, remembering one of the thousands of embarrassing situations of my first life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I missed these corridors," Anthony said, looking around with a happy smile on his face.

We had just gotten out of our second morning class, which was Charms, where Professor Flitwick gave a little review of what we'd learned last school year.

"Really? I thought you'd just miss your bed and your blankets" Terry commented slowly.

"Haha, and I thought you were going to miss your tissues and your 24th issue of PlayWizard that you keep in your second drawer of—umph!"

"How do you know where I keep it?" Terry whispered to Anthony through narrowed eyes as he covered our lazy friend's mouth with his hand. He then turned to me with an innocent, carefree look on his face, "Hehe, don't care what this badger in raven clothes says, he's not 100% sane"

And I, who saw this interaction, just looked at the two of them with obvious contempt and disgust on my face.

"Hey Ethan" I then heard someone call out to me, and turning around I saw Weasley... Ron – I'm still trying to get used to calling him by name – with his two friends walking towards us.

"Hey" I waved at him.

"How was your class?" he asked giving a nod to the boys behind me, who responded in kind.

"Cool, nothing too difficult since Professor Flitwick just gave us a little review about the things we learned last year, no big deal" I shrugged.

"Oh, Professor Sprout will probably give you guys a review too and then she'll talk about the Mandrakes. That's what she passed on to us" Harry said, "And I hope Professor McGonagall doesn't pass a too hard review, as I don't really remember the things she taught us last school year" here he had a frown on his face.

"Oh, is your next class Transfiguration?" I asked, and he nodded, "Oh well, our next class is Potions"

"Potions with Snape on your first day of school? I feel sorry for you" Ron said with a sympathetic look.

"Hm, his classes aren't that bad" when I finished talking, Harry, Ron, Terry, Anthony, and Granger who was looking at me annoyed, started looking at me strangely.

'Damn Ravenclaw' 'Damn Nerd' Ron and Terry thought.

'Hmm, why do I feel a great urge to punch these two?' I wondered.

*Ring!*

"Well, I guess that's the sign for the next class," I commented.

"Oh true!" Ron exclaimed, "Come on guys, we'll miss Professor McGonagall's class if we're late, and I don't want to be late for her first class again!" Ron then started walking, pulling his two friends with him.

"Bye Ethan, and good luck with Snape" Harry said, and with that the trio kept walking until they disappeared into the halls.

...

...

Feeling some confused emotions coming from behind me, I turned to the boys, only to see that they were looking at me strangely.

"Since when are you friends with these 3 troublesome Gryffindors?" Terry asked.

"Hmm, since the holidays," I said, and then explained, "The twins invited me over to their house, and it turns out that Harry was there too, and well... We ended up playing a few games together, and sort of We became friends... Well, not exactly friends, but more like acquaintances I would say"

"Sigh, I can't believe we lost you to the dark side" Anthony said with disappointment clear on his face.

"First, I know you want me to ask Harry to sign your books, and second, is it so bad that I'm friends with them? We're even friends with Michael," I said.

"..."

"..."

"..."

""Fair""

I then rolled my eyes at them.

"Come on, I know you obviously don't want to be late for our wonderful class with Professor Snape, right?" I said, walking while the boys continued to stand in the hallway.

"Oh damn it's true" Anthony exclaimed.

"Shit, he doesn't like me, if I'm late he'll take the opportunity to kill me, I'm sure" Terry said, running after me with Anthony on his heels.

"You say that like he likes some student," Anthony commented.

"Touché"

End.

(End AN: How are you my beautiful and cute readers?

I wanted to say that unfortunately this week I won't post any chapters, but it's not because I'm abandoning this story, but because Easter is coming and as I said in some previous ANs, I'm going to prepare Easter eggs for the kids of my family, and besides me having to go buy the ingredients and the packages, my sister and I still have to make the eggs.

But don't worry, next week I'll be back!

Hope you enjoyed the chapter!)
