Chapter 4: Excitement

"Nothing special son. Enough with the dates though. Just prepare yourself. On your birthday, you will be visiting the Costa Pack."

"Father, we both know how evil the previous alpha of that pack was. Why do I have to go there."

"do you think you will get hurt if you step your foot in there?" Alpha Richard asked his son.

"I don't think so, Father. Their powers aren't even half of what we possess."

"Exactly what I am trying to let you see." Alpha Richard said to his son, his heart beating so fast. He couldn't only hope everything went well as he adjusted his glasses.

"But father, I really think there are better packs out there. I really don't have to go there," he suggested.

"I know son. but it doesn't matter. I know you are worried about having to give them some kinds of deals and I know you don't like them for some reason."

"I will inform them about my arrival father," he told him and his father felt relieved that at least his son would make an appearance in that land for the very first time.

After having some meals with his father, Alpha Drake decided to leave the palace to his own mansion and he walked into the car as his Beta drove him out of the palace.

When they got to his own mansion, he turned to his beta to talk to him.

"What do you think about us visiting Costs Pack on my birthday?" he asked and Beta Ryan was stunned.

"If Alpha wants us there then we should. They can't hurt us," he said and Alpha Drake nodded his head in agreement.

"I will spend my birthday there. Inform them about it," he said to his beta, and his beta left to inform them.

Alpha Drake took a deep breath as he thought about having to see a she-wolf in the pack. Would it be safe for his own pack though? He thought and wondered what it was going to feel like for him if he finally clocked twenty-eight years old without a mate to himself.

Everyone would probably think there was something wrong with him if that eventually happened.

He took a deep breath and walked into his own study room to do some survey for his company. He had his own company and thought about how hectic it would be when his father finally handed the whole pack to him. He guessed he would have to merge the whole task to be able to cope.

Costa Pack

Alpha Thomas was punishing some omegas outside in the garden when his beta came to him and whispered in his ears. Alpha Thomas never saw the news coming at all. This was the best news he had heard ever since the beginning of his reign since his father died. The strongest pack in their world was planning on coming to visit him in his pack to celebrate his birthday.

He quickly stopped what he was doing and ran inside to go to his study. He really needed to have a good conversation with his beta.

The she-wolves who were being briefly punished wondered why they were no longer punished as they became very curious. They looked at each other and straightened their body as they made their way to their various rooms to do something else.

Emily was cleaning when she unknowingly bumped into Alpha Thomas who was walking so fast. Shocked, she looked at him and felt sorry for hitting him. She then put her head down as she waited to get punished but then, he just passed without a word to her.

She didn't know how to express her shock anymore and turned to look at Stella who was cleaning the other part of the sitting room. Stella too was so surprised that he didn't touch her and she tiptoed with curiosity and looked at Alpha Thomas who was just heading front without looking back. It was like he won a jackpot and was too excited to have their time.

"I... Thought I would be beaten up..."

"Mmmm, Emily don't think like that. I know this is strange but you are not a punching bag. You shouldn't expect to get beaten up all the time." Stella said to her and they continued dusting the sitting room.

Inside Alpha Thomas's study room, he paced all over in excitement and the moment his beta entered the study room, he sat down. "are you sure you really heard from them? Like I never expected to get surprised by this giant. You know they had been with my father during his reigns right so please I don't want to find out that I am being trucked at last." he warned his beta.

"This is no trick. I received a call from Beta Ryan himself and we spoke over the phone. Alpha Drake will be spending his birthday here in our pack and there could be a deal coming for us along with the visit." he told him.

"Exactly what I want to hear. The deal. Of course, there will be a deal attached to him visiting us. Don't you know how I feel, there is a lot attached to him visiting us. Move around the whole pack now and start getting things set." he said to his beta and he proceeded to push him out of his study room.

Beta Joe had to deal with his Alpha's excitement and walked around the whole house. When he got to the sitting room and saw how Emily was working hard, he paused to look at her and Stella who was beside her.

The moment they felt someone was at their back, they flinched and looked up. It was the beta! They then looked down at gave him way but he didn't move as he looked at them and the effort they were making.

"Well done Emily and Stella!" he said to them and walked away leaving them shocked.
